SYBA SD-SATA150R PCI SATA Controller Card
Comment:
Low-cost, worked superior with my DiamondMax Plus 10 80 GB, SATA렮, Model 6L080M0 Challenging Drive. After I owned this card for about 1 year I bought a new Plextor DVD Writer (PX-755SA) and tried to plug it into the second SATA port on this card. I tried every thing I could feel of but I just couldn't get this card to work with this DVD writer. Finally, I bought the Adaptec ASH-1205SA SATA Controller with SiI3112 chipset and that card works with both my HDD and DVD Writer. Pay a little much more for the Adaptec ASH-1205SA SATA Controller with SiI3112 chipset and ensure yourself a much better opportunity of the card supporting optical drives.

SYBA SD-SATA150R PCI SATA Controller Card
Cons: Sata 1 "only".Performance is adequate.

Pros: Functions as advertised. Ability to add new drives to older systems.Price!
Comment:
I originally purchased this card to cheaply add some SATA drives to some hold hardware I wanted to test UnRaid with. The chip used in this card is known to work with UnRaid so I couldn't go wrong with the price. It worked flawlessly including with other PCI cards in the mix. I've since used it to add SATA drives to an older PC running Windows. I've since ordered another for yet an other older computer. It only loses one star due to being older tech (SATA1) which lacks some features and performance.

SYBA SD-SATA150R PCI SATA Controller Card
Cons: Doesn't seem to work on all PCs.

Pros: When it works, it is just fine.
Comment:
I bought it for my girlfriend's PC. I spend 3 hours trying to make it work. I had no post of the RAID card at BIOS and in Windows, it was detected, but there was to way to make the DVD plugged in to be detected.I ended up putting it in my own computer, and it worked right away, without any pain.I used the SD-SATA-4P for her PC, it worked as the 150R worked on mine. I think the SD-SATA-4P is more compatible, so don't buy this one and buy the 4 ports.

SYBA SD-SATA150R PCI SATA Controller Card
Cons:-Only includes 1 SATA Cable for 2 Ports-SATA 1/150 (No NCQ and extra speed)

Pros:-Very short and well built-Uses the Silicon Image 3512 Controller-Minimal CPU overhead for RAID1
Comment:
For being a $15 card I am very impressed, it works and it is solid so far. Nothing mission critical but it works great adding 2 SATA ports to an old ABIT NF7-S

SYBA SD-SATA150R PCI SATA Controller Card
Cons:I wouldn't use the RAID.

Pros:Cheap. Works as a basic SATA controller, inc. weith 1TB drives.
Comment:
Good cheap controller to get SATA into an older PC!Drivers loaded in XP Pro SP3 no problem.ANother older PCI SATA controller of mine BSOD'd with a new WD 1TB drive. This one seems to work fine. A little slow perhaps, but it is 1.5 not 3.0 afterall.I'd use it again.
