Sabrent Serial ATA to USB 2.0 Cable Converter with Power Supply

Device works exactly as expected, used to copy all of the data off of a 200gb mac formated external hd to a 500gb hd, copied all of the data in a matter of a night, no problems. Although it would be noted that u may want to cool ur hd some how, i found it got quite hot w/o a case to disapate heat, so i placed it on top of my output fans on my case, cooled it down fine. Can't beat for the cost.

This is an excellent cable adapter. I am not using the power supply as I connected the drive directly to my computer power supply using a sata cable adapter. Easy install, installed my lightscribe dvd drive in about ten minutes. would recommend this cable to anyone.

Finally, a product from Sabrent that works properly. I was feeling very skeptical when I ordered this, after a couple other Sabrent products that never worked quite right. But after watching part of a movie from a harddrive connected with this adapter, I am somewhat impressed. The unit seems to work very smoothly and the price is pretty good too.

I have to say that this is a great tool for using with SATA notebook drives. It is very nice and seems to hold up real good. Only 1 thing that is bad is that the power cable was too short for me.

I purchased this adapter after returning the Sabrent USB 2 to IDE/SATA Cable for...drives w/Power Adapter. Unlike the adapter I just mentioned, this adapter works GREAT with all SATA drives (both 1st and 2nd generation). The machine detects the adapter and drive right away and I'm able to format, copy, move, etc. with very good performance and no errors.

Excellent Designed Product! Fulfill my job requirement; as a Certified PC Technician like myself, this is one of the tools you need it every day. Price wise is acceptable either you bought this for yourself or for your company it is definitely worth it. Manufacturer takes care of the weakly USB power source by supplying an external AC power adapter and besides the size is a bit bulky everything is a perfect made. Even though your manager didn’t approve this as an expense (like mine) this gadget is still a valuable investment.
