Easy to install, easy to use. Click the tray icon to get the actual menu where you first enter your encrypted key, then BAM! Gets good reception all thru the house, upstairs and down. Ya can't beat it unless ya steal it!

Sabrent USB-G802 USB Wireless Network Adapter - 54Mbps, 802.11g, USB 2.0
Comment:
Came quickly after ordered. Took several tries to install on XP. Instructions and windows are in very poor English. Reverse of a normal USB installation. Get 11Mbps NOT 54. But it works although the connection is lost every so often (haven't timed it).

Sabrent USB-G802 USB Wireless Network Adapter - 54Mbps, 802.11g, USB 2.0
Comment:
The Sabrent wireless adapter works very well in my system, a desktop PC running Win2000Pro SP4 and linking with a wireless router two floors above. Plenty of signal strength, with data rates of 48-54 Mbits/sec. I used the installation software and directions provided on the included CD and found the instructions clear but not necessarily in the order which would have made best sense to me. However after a couple times through I got it all sorted out OK. I'm running WEP-128 because another PC on the network can't handle WPA. I was very pleased to discover that the adapter runs really cool to the touch; no overheating problem with this unit. The instructions don't say it, but a small ''Y'' icon shows up in the system tray and movement of the yellow ''+'' sign above it tells you data is being sent or received. FYI: if you write a review, then realize you have forgotten your password and have TigerDirect e-mail it to you, you have to write the review over again.

Sabrent USB-G802 USB Wireless Network Adapter - 54Mbps, 802.11g, USB 2.0
Comment:
Used the install on the supplied mini disc and sucessfully installed on Win 98SE Win 2000 and Win XP machines. The application it loads makes it easy to type in a wep code which is very important with Win 98 which has no native wireless support. Signal strength is as good or better than a two year old high end laptop. Unit gets warm but not hot unlike other products. An easy, affordable and controllable way to provide Internet on old PC's to my sons.

I ordered the TRENDnet TEW-424UB USB Wireless Network Adapter and got what looks like this instead. It works fine. Doesn't get hot, and gets good signal from an a cheap router a floor above in my house. Good value for the price, and easy to install with XP SP3.

Sabrent USB-G802 USB Wireless Network Adapter - 54Mbps, 802.11g, USB 2.0

I got the white model of this stick. It's not possible to store the cap on the other end of the stick, even though it appears like it could. It is wide enough to require an extension cable to use it with a USB slot that is end to end with another occupied slot. (A cable is not a bad idea, though. Raising the stick a few feet helps its range.) Both Windows XP and Linux Kubuntu (both Hardy and Intrepid) can see the stick and the networks in my area. Linux clearly identifies it as a Sabrent. Performance slightly beats a more pricey Belkin made stick.

Unit arrived fast. However, it was not as pictured on the web site. It was not the Sabrent brand as advertised on the site. As well, the product was terrible, it did not work once (have two other computers and a Wii hooked up to our network. It would not even connect for more than a second. Terrible product, DO NOT BUT THIS. Difficult return policy as well. Good luck.....

I do a lot of work on pcs at home and really hated dragging them into my home office to hard wire to my network. Since purchasing the product I have installed the drivers and used the device on at least a dozen different machines. Never had a lick of problems with the device. It saves me lots of time and effort.

Well, interesting enough, the story with this sabrent brand. I purchased the product they advertised and it turn out to be a poor piece of plastic stick, nothing more then that, the thing just does't work. They are still showing that one on Tiger now. returned it back and got another one and its totally different model but same price, and magically it works great in everyway. Someone wants to tell me what happened there? Tiger? Anyone?

I bought the Sabrent product several months ago. It came and it worked flawlessly. I went ahead and ordered another one a few weeks ago, however, the product that came was not the Sabrent model and it didn't work due to a corrupt driver. I returned it to have the Sabrent shipped as that was the specific item I ordered. They sent the same malfunctioning model to me! The representatives didn't seem too interested in correcting the model type on the website, but they were prompt otherwise.

This device had problems connecting to my router. It would connect sometimes and other times it would not. Finally had to change my linksys router so the IP for this device was static. Since doing that it has worked fine. The other 4 wireless devices in my house work fine with dhcp.

Pros: Its cheap. Cons: If cheap is what you want, then cheap is what you get. I had problems with this little device heating up too quickly, and not maintaining a connection. Constantly rebooting to reconnect, finally installed a PCI wireless card. No problems now. Would not recommend for purchase.

I bought 4 of these adapters after reading this reviews. Unfortunaltely this product didn't live up to as it was promised. Speed of this adapter seem to limited to USB 1.0. I coulnl't hardly believe it was USB 2.0. I do not get a stable connection for more then 10 minutes. I guess you get what you paid for. I recommend this product for web surfin not for gamers.

When I installed one of the two wireless 802.11G USB SAGEM on the case (not SABRETN as advertised) I was one room away from my linksys wireless router. Unit number one failed so I tried unit number 2 . Alarms went off after 20 minutes that I never heard my computer make before, they were overheat alarms from my processor. The computer shut itself down by the time I got to the computer I quickly pulled the wireless SAGENT (Sabrent?) USB adapter out of the USB port it was to hot to hold in my hand. Needles to say I am sending the units back to Tigerdirect.com and I hope they make things right. From this experience I would say do not buy any SABRENT brand product if this is truly a SABRENT BRAND definitely never buy a “SAGENT” brand. I honestly believe Tigerdirect.com probably thought they had latched on to a good deal and intended to pass the bargains on to customers but these units should be recalled because they are fire hazards in the home.

This device works great! I installed the driver, and used it on various machines, all Windows XP machines work fine. Not on Linux though, No Linux drivers are available. BTW -Sabrent USB-G802 received a signal as far away as 300 ft. (obstructed). Not bad for a $15.00 device!

Did the trick. I wanted internet access for an older system, without running cables, or adding a possibly incompatable card. It set up in minutes. It is a bit slower, but it works fine.

While I am a big fan of Tiger Direct, I am not a fan of this product at all. It is the perfect example of ''you get what you pay for'' and ''let the buyer beware.'' I could not get it to see my wireless network. The driver it ships with does not appear to be fully Windows XP compatible and there is not user guide or quick start guide to help out if you have any difficulty. I rarely write reviews, good or bad, but I wanted to let other know to be careful if you are considering this product.
