Great drives m awsome price !Got 2 of these in RAID0 on SATA2 (find SATA3 to be overkill for anything other than SSD) running cool and quiet. Only had good luck with Seagates in last 10 years(even with 7200.11) so I expect the same from these drives. I can't say that about some other brands, but I haven't tried their latest either (to be fair). I'm definitely considerring buying a couple more ;) |

I bought this 2 weeks ago for my custom build PC, at first it worked fine, just as it should, but suddenly got loud while loading data or transferring. As well it has about 2 or 3 times done some prominent clicking for a few seconds. To be returning this for a different drive. I have also seen other reviews of this drive and others say it is loud and sometimes clicking noises do occur |

I have had several Seagate drives in the past, and this one is my latest. It replaces a 7200.10 250 Mb drives to hold most of my data.Of course, I still back up my data. |

I bought this drive from a different retailer, and it never worked. All my other WD drives work fine, but for some reason this drive doesn't work. I can see it in Hardware Monitor and see the temperatures of the drive, but it does not show up in the bios or with windows.I probably just got a dud, and need to call support. I've just been busy and keep forgetting to do that. Still, even though I got a dud I think I would recommend it. I might just buy some 5400 WD green drives from now on, because I have a 6Gbps Corsair SSD for my boot drive that works fine. |

Honestly, theres not much to say. Used this as a basic boot drive for a friend home system. Works like it should, never had any previous failures with barracudas, and its fairly quiet. |
Does the job well. Easy to install, pretty fast drive. It is a little on the loud side, but if you can deal with that it's worth a buy.
