Sturdy, good finish. Can hold two 2.five" drives - ideal for SSD's which run very cool. None. If you plan on using this for two drives, make confident heat will not be a problem. Like I stated, this is best for SSD's. Cables will be tight, but shouldn't be an problem.

A lot sturdy, and secure. None that I can think of. Purchased this to secure my SSD in my very first ever homebuilt system. Uncomplicated to install, and a lot secure.

Specifically duplicates ALL mounting points of a normal 3.five" SATA drive ... all the threaded holes are in the exact same spot and the identical size. No challenge with installing in my "tool-much less" Lian Li case. Even with two two.five" drives, there is far more room for air circulation around the drives than with a single three.five" drive. The usual issues with installing those tiny screws to mount a 2.5" drive ... but then it's only ű.99

Really easy design, arrived with everything needed but a screwdriver, and fit perfectly. Study and lightweight. None. It would probably be far better to only mount one SATA drive in this as the bottom 1 would bend the cables too a lot.

Held my 4 Intel SSD drives with out a challenge. An additional review here complained that there was no airspace between drives. I had about 1ǚ inch between them so heat is not an problem. None My case (AZZA Solano 1000 Black purchased from Newegg) does not have tool-much less drive bays and that seems to be where people today have problems.

Pros: easy installation

It's great for fitting the SSD into a regular 3.5" bay. I like that you can fit two 2.5" drives into it. I don't know why it's so expensive. It's just a metal bracket. The 5.25" to 3.5" adapters are only three bucks.

Cons: n/a

Pros: - Simple effective design
Comment:
This is a simple effective design that lets you mount two 2.5" drives (e.g. SSD or laptop drive) in a single 3.5" bay. The price here is a little high considering that this is really just a piece of chromed, stamped metal. I PM'd it down to nearly half.

Cons: None except price is too high for a piece of crimped metal.

Pros: Metal instead of plastic. Keeps components cooler.
Comment:
Using this in a SFF PC and replaced the single 3.5in HDD with a dual setup of 2.5in Seagates x 7200 rpm. System is now super quiet and faster than before as I am also using the 2nd drive as a cache drive.

SilverStone SDP08 3.5" to 2 x 2.5" Bay Converter
Cons: none

Pros: Solid metal, dual drive capable
Comment:
Pricematched this to a more reasonable cost. Very sturdy construction with all of the hardware required. Only caution is that not all SSDs may fit in the lower of the 2 locations depending on the placement of the side holes of the SSD. Should have had the option for the bottom of the drives to be attached via screws on the bottom of the drive cage.

Pros: good quality

Did exactly what I needed it to, installed a 2.5" drive in my htpc, worked perfectly. Comes with all the screws you need, took minutes to install. The material is actually much thicker and sturdier than I was expecting at such a cheap price.

i chose to buy a third party drive bay adapter instead of using the included one that came with the intel SSDnothing much to be said about the product... excellent build quality, and has sufficent number of screwes includeda tad expensive but worth the money (if it was on sale or with price match)

SilverStone SDP08 3.5" to 2 x 2.5" Bay Converter
Cons: - doesn't have tabs to keep the top drive level and spaced above the bottom one

Pros: - high quality, metal, solidly built- comes with all the screws and properly packaged
Comment:
Not much to say here; simple, well-built adapter that will do what it's supposed to.The weakness I listed above is not much of a big deal, just a little annoying. Also, the price here is ridiculous, but that is not the product's fault. Price-match is a necessity here. This review was modfied by poster @ 06-07-10 12:20 AM

I'm currently using this for my 2 new 500GB Seagate Momentus XTs. Installing them in was quite easy and so was installing it into my 3.5in drive bay.I did notice that fingerprints stuck to it quite a lot... but since nobody's going to see it, it's not really a problem.Great by!
