This thing functions good appropriate out of the package. Its a really basic adapter. I purchased mine simply because i like to talk on skype but i have a surround sound system that i use to listen to music and play games. so i only wanted to have voice more than the headset. this does the trick. initially i was going to obtain an additional headset with a usb connection but this operates wonderful and saved me income. none.

Performs great. No problems so far. I purchased it since I installed Vista on an older personal computer with no Vista sound drivers and the XP drivers don't have complete functionality in Vista. I needed this to make my mic operate. It performs great. New egg shipped it in a box with Styrofoam peanuts. I hate these little issues. :) excellent affordable replacement for your sound card. Functions with no difficulty

This is a incredibly affordable resolution if you will need an extra audio output/input device, and it performs as described.Installation couldn't be less complicated - just plug it in, and a driver is set up automatically. Windows Vista 64-bit recognized it and expected no further drivers. This device is also modest sufficient that it doesn't block USB ports that are above or below. However, it could block USB ports to the sides. The audio output has a tiny bit if distortion, at least for me (using Windows Vista 64-bit). Thankfully, at least in Windows Vista, you can use a different audio device for audio output. Also, the microphone input appears to be mono (Windows Vista only lists 1 channel for the microphone). So for musicians, I don't consider this would be appropriate for producing stereo recordings. I purchased this to use primarily as a microphone input, due to the fact the microphone input on my new Pc does not operate properly. As a microphone input, this device operates quite nicely. The mic signal is loud and clear with no noise.Because audio is a tiny distorted from this device, I set up Windows to use my pc's built-in audio as the default audio output.

Performs.. some of the time. -It's a bit thick, which blocks adjacent usb ports-I haven't been finding the exact same stellar functionality that others have been raving about. My speakers function only half the time when making use of this adapter. The other occasions, my speakers refuse to work until I forgo the adapter. -Possibly I just got a faulty one particular. Manufacturer Response:Dear Consumer,Please make positive the speaker jack is completely inserted into the USB audio adapter. All of our goods come with at least three years warranty. Please don't hesitate to make contact with us at assistance-us@syba.com if you have any dilemma or query.Regards,Syba Buyer Service

sound excellent is genuinely great. just about as good as my sound blaster card. no drivers required. it can get in the way of the USB prot subsequent to it. wish it was a littl smaller. for some reason my vista would only pic up USB mics, but my Fatal1y headset employed the old jacks.... this thing is good small bypass.

Modest, low cost, works with OS X, Windows, Linux with out concerns. Sounds too great to be accurate! Not great for crowded USB ports. It is too tall and too wide to be close to other devices plugged into the back of the laptop or computer.Output seems actually loud to me, but nothing a simple volume control doesn't repair. Thoughts you, this is not a accurate sound card. It does not off-load any audio processing to the tiny device (did you expect as a lot for บ?) and for that reason, if you are doing additional intensive audio projects, this may possibly not cut it as it relies on your CPU. This is particularly noticeable on ATOM based computers. [-.five]Also, you must maintain in thoughts that the audio in port is MONO, not stereo like most plugs. It can accept a stereo plug, but you will only record in mono, possibly a summed signal. [-.five]For the price tag even though, this point is effectively worth it, especially for the Hackintosh community. This is absolutely NOT for the audiophile nor pro-audio tech.

I purchased this for the PS3 and knew what I was finding. This will output the same audio sounds that you would normally hear by means of your display speakers or a bluetooth headset. The mic input is the identical form of input you would with a bluetooth headset. There is NO gaming sounds that would come by means of this via the PS3, as this is not what its supposed to function as anyway. Nothing at all so far. This USB Adapter was readily accessible as soon as I plugged it into the PS3 USB port as it was recognized as a C-MEDIA USB Adapter. I have a gaming headset that covers both ears entirely as nicely as having a mic. The headset has each green and red 3.5mm jacks. In order to get the game sounds through the green three.5mm jack I required a mono female three.5mm jack y-splitter to dual female rca in order to plug the white/red cable from the ps3's audio. I then plugged by green 3.5mm jack into this. By default the PS3 will play the chat sounds via the RCA outs unless told to do it via a different setting. This can all be manipulated by way of the XMB.Input settings: C-MEDA ADAPTEROutput settings: Default device

I have this plugged into a Synology 108J house server (also purchased via Newegg). The Synology's Audio Station supports USB speakers but I don't have any, I do even so have a extremely nice 4.1 Cambridge Soundworks set so I decided to attempt this out. Sure enough, as soon as I plugged it in and connected the speakers the server recognized the connection and was in a position to play the music files on my server. As some have pointed out, it is incredibly loud, even though this isn't genuinely a con, just something to be ware of. It will take some time to get the sound levels amongst each and every element balanced. Can't think how low-cost it is and how effectively and effortlessly it works.

Clean sound, very low noise, high reliability, simplicity, compact size, clear markings (with the appropriate colors), definitely no installation requirement (on Windows 7). What's much more cable ask? completely none. could not uncover yet another USB soundcard so excellent. I bought a single, liked it so significantly that I bought two more, not even realizing how I am going to use these. But I know they will get used somehow.

I was obtaining problems with terrible mic static from my onboard mic jack. This adapter produces no static and the mic sounds considerably greater in general.I had no thought what is wrong with my jack but this is a good solution if you have a equivalent concern.general pros:-Affordable-Eliminated all mic static-plug and play-rugged design(don't see this factor breaking anytime soon) -blocks access to close surrounding usb ports-low high quality stereo jack(doesn't bother me, my onboard one particular is excellent, in contrast to the mic jack) Certainly worth it for the low cost if your personal computer has no audio jacks. The output is not the ideal high quality but nonetheless fine for a thing like a pair of ear buds. Mic is not qualified good quality of course but is nonetheless excellent for some thing like a skype contact.

Functions wonderful. My audio out went dead on my Macbook Pro and for some purpose my warranty was expired. Purchased this tiny point and it functions like a charm. Plugged it in, had to go into the audio output settings and change the default to the USB device, but other than that it was plug n' play! I haven't tried the Mic input nevertheless, mainly because i haven't a want to, my Mic input functions on my Macbook Pro. NONE

low cost, sound clarity, noiseless microphone, effortless to set up None (or it wouldn't be at this value). The audio out jack in the back of my slimline desktop went out, now I'm working with the 1 on the front. This device is perfect as a back up in case the front jack goes out as well - as there is no expansion slot in my Pc to add a new sound card. Plugged it in Vista and it just functions - driver installs and Windows started employing it automatically. It produces clear, rich sound that I locate far more than satisfactory. I don't listen to music on the computer, largely just watch You Tube videos and talk on Skype, so this is excellent. I don't mind the high volume it puts out, due to the fact I plug the headphone into the Computer stereo's manage pod and I can manage the volume or turn it off there. And the size isn't a difficulty either, as I can simply plug this into my usb hub.At a value tag of less than ป with Egg Saver shipping option, you couldn't ask for additional.

It just operates. Cost virtually absolutely nothing. None. I did not have the high volume difficulty that so many other men and women have. In reality, it is even very slightly quieter than my present speakers. I currently have USB audio devices installed (my headphones), so possibly the method is somehow working with those drivers-- I have no notion, honestly. But the volume is fine and the sound is great. I bought this for my hackintosh installation, but these comments apply to my Windows XP SP3 installation.

- Fantastic cheap price tag.- Worked as soon as I plugged it in.- Operates even better than I expected.I recommend this product to everyone thinking about finding a USB audio adapter. None (so far). My audio card went out five days ago on my laptop, and I'm a music producer, so you can easily assume of how I reacted when this occurred. So I got on here, this was the least expensive point, and this works like a wonder. For something this smaller, you would think it would be some sort of low cost device that only works half the time...Needless to say, I'm extremely satisfied with this, and Newegg's rapidly shipping calmed my woes.

Set up automatically with Win XP. Good alternative to tearing down a Dell Inspiron with a poor headphone jack. none I wasn't real keen on disassembling my laptop down to the motherboard to repair a headphone jack. The nearby computer shop wanted 踰 to make the repair. This little gadget for pocket alter is a wonderful alternative

Affordable, no software program needed, low noise, and high fidelity. None evident. My motherboard sound electronics were selecting up noise from mouse movements. Simply because the USB sound adapter is outside the program unit, it appears to be immune to this noise. Ah, the pleasure of listening to Bach's music on the pc is now uninterrrupted by intermittent buzzing.

Solidly built, fits tightly into USB port, functions wonderful. Newegg shipping Good as always. Can't go incorrect here! None that I can believe of. If you are going to acquire though, acquire with one thing else at the very same time so you don't have to spend the high shipping expenses fir this one item! It pretty much doubles the cost if you buy it solo. Not a con unless this is the only component you will need...yeah appropriate, like you can't come across anything else to acquire right here! Does what it is supposed to do for a great value (even including shipping charges). Try to find a single at a retail shop for this cost!

I wish they produced it in White color to match mini Mac Apple. If utilized mono pin, make positive it is somehow tricky to connect, You are to find the right position in the connector, because the connector is for stereo pin. Apple Mac OSX Leopard - Plug and Play, Excellent quality of input and output. Output volume is as it really should be, no complaints, not low not high level. Input good quality of sound is fantastic for active microphone for Skype. It is adjusted as it were a standard microphone. Entirely no noise or interference, functions sharp and stable. Great excellent of plastic. If utilised mono pin, make positive it is somehow tricky to connect, You are to locate the right position in the connector, because the connector is for stereo pin. It was basically plug and play. They could have produced it a tiny a lot more narrow but I compensated with a USB extension cord. My sound card lost its audio-in ability and this small bugger fixed it suitable up. All I had to do was set the "input" choice(s) to the USB card from the soundcard and it worked.
