I bought the Tornado because it sounded like a helpful tool. Boy, was I right. I brought it to work and had to reinstall a user's laptop. He had 20 gigabytes of data including music & pictures. I figured this would be a good test. I connected it to the old computer and a spare and after a couple of minutes they both displayed the windows that I expected. I dragged the files from one computer to the other. I was amazed when after about 35 minuted it showed that it was completed. No more using flash drives, or slowing the network down when moving files. This is one of the best tools I have ever purchased. If you support computers it is an essential tool.

It is nice when things work by themselves upon plugging them in. It created a nice form to be used for file transfer.

I was surprised how it works. Plug and play. It needs a little time until the computers notice each other but it works very good and it is fast. I bought 6pc to give to friends.

I tried several products to try and transfer data from my Windows 2000 to Windows 7 computer, flash drives, external hard drive, pc link, none of them worked, very frustrating, I bought the Tornado on a whim and I'm sure glad I did, plug and play, extremely easy to use and compatible with Win 2000 and Win 7, thanks for solving an easy problem, but a problem none the less. I sugjest a purchase of this product, worked great for me.

I used the Tornado on 3 of my family PC's and it works GREAT ! I didn't think it would work on the oldest one with windows 95 , But it worked fine. I love this tool! Highly recomend it to anyone who wants to gather info,family photos and movies from old pc to new pc. THANX ! Tom (PiP) Pipenger

Bought one of these a couple of years ago (when they cost a lot more) and have used it for years without any problems. I've used it on WinXP, Vista, and Win7 32-bit. Because it's USB 2.0 the transfer rate is faster than a T-100 network. Only issue I've ever had was trying to get it to run on a PC that was infected. I believe the virus was causing the issues. No drivers or software needed. It's shows up as a CD and, if autorun is enabled, prompts to start the software. Easy as drag-and-drop after that.

Fast transfer and easy to use. It saved me creating a network, which I don't need, to transfer files to or from my new laptop. To get good reeling-up, they use a stiff, curly band rather than standard wire; a bit clumsy to work with and engages junk on your desk, but that's no big deal. Have had no hangs, but do read other reviews about hangs.

Bought 6 of these unit for a laptop upgrade project at work with the intent to migrate user data from old laptops to new units. Constantly freezes.. if copy fails, need to start from beginning. Very cheap-o build and don't recommend.. go for a brand name...

I bought this to move data from an old machine to a new PC. It recognized the new machine but not the old machine, so it did not serve its purpose. The old PC is running XP SP 3, so not sure what the problem was.

I bought a new computer and it was just drag and drop from the old to the new just that simple.

so far so good .had trouble with win 98 pc ,but just today downloaded the drivers.have not installed them yet.hopefully will work as well as it did when i transfereed from 1 win xp to another

Tornado worked well. Had a few items that it would not transfer like system files in windows.

It worked the first time and all seemed well. Failed to work at all on the second attempt to transfer files. Not a good choice. Nice idea though.

This device was easy to hook up. It copied folders but when opened there was no programs inside.What a waste of money.

File transfers between XP and Vista worked well without loading any drivers.

The Tornado is very easy to use. It only took a few minutes to transfer all the files from one computer to the other one. Simply click and drag. Reasonably priced too. Highly recommend it.

This item did not autolaunch as was told it would, therefore is absolutely useless to me. What a waste of money! If I could have given it zero stars I would have.

This makes moving files between computers a breeze. The price was much less than what I saw at Staples. Buy it!

I have had the Tornado for a couple of weeks and it works great. Just plug it into a USB port on each computer, the screen comes up automatically and then just drag and drop the files you want to move. I find it especially helpful when moving larger files that will not fit a thumb drive.
