Tried this on several machines and it worked flawlessly. I would highly recommend this product. My only negative comment would be I wish they would have just used a regular cable and not one that works off a spring.

This works fine if the two PCs are running the same operating system but when I tried to copy from XP to Vista it wouldn't find the files on the computer I was trying to copy from.

Hey this is the best product tomarry files from a desk top to a net book and did it quickly, Had bought a net book to not have to carry my desk top everywhere. In a matter of minutes we had Quick books loaded with all its files onto the new Ascer netbook and hope that all who buy one will findit and its on line user manual as friendly as I did.

I'm happy with the hardware and the software seems robust, all my pet peeves which are good so good value. The software is very limited in its functional capabilities. You can not create a directory to copy things into, rename a file or any simple windows explorer type things. Hoping for a software upgrade for this soon. I hope the file can be copied to the device easily.

I bought the Tornado when I ordered my new laptop so I could transfer the data over from my old laptop. My old laptop was Windows XP and the new laptop is Windows Vista and it worked great.

One of the best computer-related purchases I've ever made. No muss, no fuss; it does everything claimed it will do.

Needed to get a new laptop (dropped the other one so had a bad screen). Was concerned that I would have a problem with XP to Vista 64-bit. Plugged it into both computers and within 30 seconds had both showing on each screen. Transferred all the files I wanted with no problem. I wish I could figure out how to transfer the complete program so I didn't have to reinstall some of them. Oh well.

I had two old computers that I needed to transfer important information from to my new computer. In less than 5 minutes, I was transferring data. It's very easy to use and I love it. The only thing was that I didn't have the automatic hardware detect set, so I had to hook up the monitor to the old computer. Other than that, it was very easy.

Dumping files from laptop to desktop worked very well. Laptop is a 32 bit Vista and desktop a 64 bit Vista OS. No problems encountered, so I'd recommend this for file transfers, particularly at the basically $30 price. The PC Eraser software is a great bonus, and was used to industrially scrub the freespace opened up on the laptop--took about 5 hours.

this is a great little gadget for moving files! its plug and play, so easy anyone can use it! just drag and drop the file and it's a done deal! awesome time saver and error free! i would highly recommend this to anyone! the price was the best i could find online or in local stores. simply, the best!

Did exactly what it said it would. I hooked up a Windows 98 computer to transfer my music and recipes to my Windows XP. Installation went just fine (as soon as I remembered you have to ACTUALLY install hardware on 98) Got all the music off and on to my external hard drive on the XP. Now all that's left are the recipes. I have a little computer knowledge, but am by no means an expert and this was very easy to do and very user friendly! Highly recommend. Take you time doing it -- don't rush and miss a step. (Like forgetting to install the hardware!) Enjoy!
