Moves the files real great. but the draw back was that it doesn't write on the transferred directory that it is there! This was Vista to Vista 64Bit system. Ultima.

I bought this because the price was right. (25 bucks). And the features are great. The transfer software is right inside the Tornado itself. Very easy for the beginner as well. I just wish the cable (about 4 feet) was a bit longer... A good buy and value... Thanks Tiger...Bob O

I had to buy a new computer after 7 years and had thousands of photos, and extensive family tree data on it. I was upgrading from Windows 2000 to Vista Home Premium, and I was very worried about getting that info to the new computer safely and inexpensively. The Tornado was perfect. In addition to being so easy that even I could do the transfer, it was inexpensive. I shopped other products and other websites, and getting the Tornado from this site was the very best deal.

This device makes the hassle of buying a new computer and transfering your files no longer a chore. The software is buit into the cable apparatus and self starts when plugged in. Point, click, copy, and paste and you are done. no complaints

It does what it claims and for a low price at that. You plug it in then drag and drop everything, so it is easy to use. Be sure you have a lot of time as it can be quite slow. The quality is a bit lacking as it was engineered and manufactured to sell at a low price point. For $25.00 its more than worth it.

I've tried this product on 2 Vista machines as well as 2 XP machines and it works flawlessly. So simple. Just plug it in to both machines' USB ports and the software gets loaded automatically and you can see a pane showing each computer. You can then simply drag and drop files to either computer. Pretty fast too. About 1GB per minute. Very pleased with this purchase and it's half the retail price on Tigerdirect.

Before I purchased this gadget, I called and spoke with the manufacturer customer service to make sure it was compatible with Windows Vista Home Premium 64 Bit systems, as I had read some reviews that said it may not be. I purchased it and this little wire works flawlessly with every computer I have hooked it to. I have only owned it a week or two but I have used it more than 10 times already with different computers and different OS and so far it has worked without fail. Great tool to have in your arsenal.

I installed the recommended Tornado website driver/software on my old Pentium III Win98SE desktop and was amazed at how easy and trouble free the transfer of directories and files was from my old computer to my newer Core 2 Quad WinXP SP3 desktop. The automatic split screen appeared on each computer showing This Computer and Other Computer directory trees for easy drag-and-drop copying.

This item is great, but I have a problem with the fact that the price is $5.00 higher than Staples in store pick up (no shipping or handling charges), I have often used tigers prices to entice others to shop tiger Direct, but with this item I am disappointed, even after calling customer service and advising them of the issue, I was told to refuse the package when it arrives; please take note that my disappointment is with the pricing of this item and not with the item itself.

This is the best thing since electricity, I was able to transfer all my files from my outdated underpowered XP MCE to a spanking new XP Pro Quad core with no hassles.(soon to be a Windows 7 machine, will update when 7 is out, no telling how that will go..). Also used the free software to clear out my old machine before giving it to my grand daughter. We used the tornado to move her files to the "new" machine so nothing was lost. Wish I had this in the past...what a time saver AND AT HALF OFF!!!!

The best thing to come along for people with multiple computers. It seems to slow down a bit when you do large transfers but thats minor. it also seems to limit the number of files you can transfer at once but that is also minor to me. Two thumbs up on this one folks!

SecretGeek, learn to use the product before you write a review. It acts as a drive. Goto My Computer/Computer and click on the "Tornado drive" this will load the software. The Tornado works great.

I maintain 19 computers for our church. There are Vista 32 Home's, Vista 64 Pro's, Windows XP Home's and Pro's. This works flawlessly across all platforms. We are constantly switching computers among our office workers and I need to move files and folders to the 'new' computers. I would HIGHLY recommend this for anyone who has to deal with more than one computer
