Woot, Newegg truly demands to update their specs on this unit. Regional BigBox has the original four rail design but I recieved the substantially far better single rail as described currently on Thermaltake's internet site. No want to "balance" rails any longer. 20 amps per rail was an optional component of the ATX typical which Intel has since dropped so single rails rule. Quite quiet and nicely constructed. None except I doubt this would fit in a mini tower, but who puts an 850 amp unit in a mini? Nicely worth the income, with rebate price is the same as a 600 amp unit at my neighborhood BigBox store.

Constructed in cables for the energy slots you are certainly going to use, and modular cables for all you add ons. Thermaltake gave me all the modular cables I would very likely ever use for a 850 what power provide, and the built in ones give me a strong connection for the motherboard. This is the wonderful power supply for a dual graphics card laptop or a personal computer running a lot of difficult drives and accesories. It is quiet, and the modular design and style tends to make everything rather clean and organized in the laptop. That provides you better air flow and tends to make it exciting to show off your pc.

This unit comes with some of the common energy cords necessary, but also involves extra cords and added plugin slots for four-pin molex power cables (x4 slots) and SATA energy cables (x4 slots). none I consider it would be really cool if ALL the energy cables had been capable of plugging into this unit, that way you could choose and decide on cables you needed for the precise quantity of wiring you want... I'm attempting to build a micro ATX unit and there are a lot of extra wires crammed into the case

I have to say I am impressed. It is super quiet. The cables aren't loose, they have the mesh cover about it. The molex connectors have the gripping tab! Tends to make it so substantially either to unplug them, they can be a pain! Cables are added extended for these major circumstances, easily zip-tieable. I like the reality that you can plug in only what you will need, in contrast to other power supplies, you have anything there for you..some of which you wish wasn't taking up space. I have this sucker powering my thermaltake liquid cooling system, blu-ray burner, case, motherboard, four case fans, asus graphics card.SSD swap tray. I never ever ran out of the connectors! This factor is great. None. I wish it lit up though!

850W, semi modular, great price tag, very quiet fan, fits nicely in gaming towers, 5 year warranty Not truly a con, but it's heavier than than expected.....then yet again a wise man named Boris as soon as stated "heavy is excellent, hefty is reliable" This replaced a DOA 550W OCZ(fatal1ty). Right after rebates it was only ฝ much more. Wonderful !! Like the dedicated PCI-E cables. Fantastic capacity, reasonably quiet, modular, excellent hunting, ฤ.00 rebate. A small on the huge side, but not as well negative. This power supply is about a single inch longer than my old 600 watt unit. It wasn't a problem for me, but you might want to preserve this in mind if you have a seriously modest case.

This is the second Thermaltake energy supply I have purchased. The initial one particular I utilized for over five years before I sold it to get this one particular. I am hoping this one particular is as solid a performer as my last 1 was.Absolute very best power supply for the price tag I paid with mail-in rebate.Entirely silent, but I do have it mounted fan facing down in a bottom-mouned situation to run cooler.Extremely great wattage and amperage rating.Single 12V rail design which means all the amps are available on each of the 12V lines.80 PLUS Bronze Licensed.Semi-modular so you aren't left with a bundle of unused cable clutter in the situation. There are a lot more connectors on the PS than they give you cords for. I assume this gives you the ability to obtain more cables if you have a process that demands even more power connections than what they already include things like.five year warranty.Fantastic consumer help. I only have a few gripes about this power supply. For some individuals they may possibly or might not be concerns as nicely. It's not completely modular. Eventhough it's just the 24-pin, EPS, and 2 x PCI-E cables that are fixed, it would make life a lot less difficult when modifying things in the situation if all the cables were modular. No energy supply fan speed connector. Every MB I have owned for more than 10 years has a connection for PWR FAN, but the only PS manufacturer I have utilised that has a lead for it is Enermax. The EPS cord is also brief to reach in a PS bottom-mounted situation. So strategy on obtaining at least one particular extender or more depending on your application. The cosmetics are a small bit boring. It's a high quality finish, but the design is plain. They had been sensible adequate to make it so that no matter which way you have this mounted the side graphics will not be upside down. Overall I am incredibly joyful with this PS. It has additional than adequate power for something I will throw at it. It's silent, and it has a great warranty.System Details:ASRock Fatal1ty P67 Pro MBIntel i7-2600KASUS Royal Knight CPU coolerArctic Silver fiveEVGA GeForce GTX 560 FPB 1GBfour x 2GB Kingston HyperX Blu DDR3 1600Thermaltake Black Widow 850W PS2 x WD 500GB RAID drives in mirrortwo x Lite-On DVD-RW burners3.five" drive w/ memory card readerCooler Master HAF X total towerWin 7 Ultimate 64-bit

This is a nicely built top quality unit. The PSU is heavy, not a con as it shows the sturdy nature that I have come to rely on with thermaltake PSU's. The modular cable management is a two fold benefit, very first it is a lot prettier and, second it (by not being a mess) does not restrict the airflow as badly as standard systems. The unit is a spot on match for any mid-tower / full tower install. Cables are even extended enuph for my btx make. Not fully modular, as the power and fourƲ connectors are permanent ( as effectively as two PCIE). In my years of Pc perform I have had three out of hundreds of Thermaltake PSU's arrive bad or go terrible this is the single best decision of brands IMO, Thermaltake like newegg just rocks. One situation exactly where you shorely get what you pay for.

This power provide is a monster. Make certain you have a mid tower or larger to fit this guy in. Presently powering GTX 465, Phenom II x4 965, and 8 GB of RAM.Quiet and you can pick which cords you want to use. None so far.... but read other thoughts. I have an ASUS M4A78LT-M motherboard and spent a complete week attempting to figure out why the personal computer wouldn't turn back on unless I disconnected the energy supply or turned it off then back on.Turns out that for some reason this energy supply does some thing funky with the motherboard and causes it to lock up after you shut it down.IN ORDER TO REMEMDY THIS you have to turn off the anti-surge protection function on the motherboard in the BIOS setting. Took me hours of troubleshooting with both Thermaltake and ASUS (both of which had been blaming the other) and they still didn't help me. Found out on my personal by accident.

If your hunting for a modular Energy Supply so that you do not have alot of cables in the case... This 1 will do the job... A fantastic function of this Energy Provide is in Sleep mode... The Power provide nearly turns off your pc fully... You won't hear any fans or anything... when you come out of sleep mode it wakes every little thing up fast. I only wish it was totally modular... The Main energy connector for the board... is attached currently to the PS... Nonetheless a very good option for individuals who can construct a personal computer.

Modular, a lot of connectivity selections, great cooling, supplies a lot of power, good five-year warranty!! (you will need it) Dies. I had a Thermaltake W0106RU 黼W). It lasted about 14 months and died. Thermaltake replaced it with this, the W0319RU because mine was discontinued. This one particular lasted 11 months and just died again. I do maintain my personal computer operating all the time, but overall I'm disappointed with how long these PSU's appear to final. It's annoying to replace each and every year. On the plus side, Thermaltake does have great RMA service. You can submit on the web, and with a credit card hold they will ship you out a replacement ahead of you send yours back. (As another individual talked about, I haven't had troubles with their RMA's. If you buy on the net and got an email confirmation, just search your email for the invoice and you'll always have it. Uncomplicated.)

Plenty of power at a good cost, have had no difficulties whatsoever inside the past two-three months I've had it. Semi-modular style with the cables most most likely to be utilised permanently attached. Provides a lot of additional modular cables for nearly any future addition. Effective single 12v rail. Also looks excellent at the bottom of my case with the downward fan and the sticker labels are nonetheless ideal side up (its the small points lol) 5 yr warranty provides my a warm cozy feeling inside, let's hope its not necessary. Nothing at all worth knocking an egg off, but 1 minor gripeɌpin cpu energy cable could've been a tad longer, it was a struggle finding it behind the motherboard tray and although the upper left hole with adequate space to get it to connect adequately...actually hope it's not placing also considerably strain on the connector. Can't knock TT for this but I would love to have a single molex cable about four inches lengthy to run from the ps to the hotswap compartment on the bottom of the situation, appropriate now I have to use 1 of the molex strings which sucks result in I have no other use for molex in my program. But general, this truly is a good price for a solid 850watt semi-modular ps...it was about 贓 when I bought it in 12񳏊...I believe ideal now with the president's day sale, it's like 贉 just before rebate....snatch it up while you can!

Great finish, fits snug, cable layout is a actual plus, huge 140mm fan thats quiet and appears to retain the heat at bay. Depending on were you order this, (got mine from the forest people), you may well or may possibly not be obtaining the revised single rail or mickey-mouse 4x ྲamp) rails.Understanding this the hard way with a 965 be C3 OC'd on a cold boot, it is hit or miss if the technique comes up without a shutdown very first. With newer elements and SLi, with lots o' ram n' fans and whatnots, the amperage may not be present at the press of the button. Its stable, but exhibits erradict behavior on cold power ups. The 1000w TT has this concern as properly.Undocumented revisions to the construct means what you order might not be what you get. Diverse unit profiles are listed on TT site but all have the identical Product SKU.850w rating is peak energy, this unit is a 825w continuous on a good day. 67 amp listed is very highly suspect. I am confident this PSU was good when it initial came out, and the bang for the buck quotient is really great, but some aspects of THIS particular PSU appear to D-Ride the Thermaltake name, and if your thinking stability + frame prices, you may possibly want to get some thing with much more stickers and certifications on the box. Will be returning the unit from whence it came and ordering a newer model TT to replace it.
