Runs anything I can throw at it with no hesitation. somewhat modular. Not a con but almost everything you will use is hardwired. This PSU is operating an Asus Crosshair IV Formula, 1100t AMD, two Asus 5960(X-fire), 2 SSD, and a single 1 HDD, Asus dvd burner, and 16 Gigs of G skill memory.

Modular, Require I say more? it doesn't run hot enough to cook my pizza? Acquiring, Setting up, and experiencing this power provide has only been a pleasure. And when I picked up my 690 II case it didn't even bother me that I had to re-route my cables again simply because of how easy it is when you use only what you want.The only factor I feel is sort of odd... is two PCI Express connectors are NOT modular, they are included with the 24pin and fourǞpin connector as part of the power provide, kinda odd, but absolutely nothing worth complaining more than.Technique Specs:Q9550 w/ Z600 120mm4gb ddr2 800 OC'd to 1066 timings at 5,5,5,15, 2T250gb 7200rpm Seagate barracuda1TB 5400 Rpm Western DigitalAsus Sata DVD rom 2x EVGA 9800 GT 512CM690 II Case3x 120mm two on case, 1 on cpu cooler3x140mm all 3 on case2x 80x80x15 one particular behind cpu, 1 on Gphx braceAll this powered perfectly, no shut downs, no overheating, completely a pure pleasure, would recommend this PSU to everyone.

This factor is solid as a rock. I would advocate it to anyone who is construct a mid-high finish gaming rig. Not as huge as some make it out to be (only about an inch longer than the old low cost Rosewill 500w that came with my case). A lot of power for a high overclock on the Core I7. Not certain about the warranty some have stated you have to register for the warranty but I had no papers in the box that said anything of the sort. Right away bought this following my cheapo Rosewill had complications booting my I7 @ 3.6GHz. Just before I purchased I experienced program lockups when burning cds with a incredibly mild overclock. Now I am operating 24ǝ stable @ four.2 GHz ྵx200MHz ʁ.26250v) with RAM @ 1600MHz Ƒ.60v) and QPI @ 7.2 GHz and have even had my chip up to four.6 GHz (Prime95 and Intel Burn Test stable @ 72c max w 1.3250v) I would feel comfy running 2 GTX275s with this provide and be willing to bet I wouldn't get a single hiccup. Unless you are preparing on Operating two or 3 GTX295s then I would absolutely say purchase this PSU, mainly because you want get a better power supply at 850ws than this one. Plus it's modular.My Rig:Core I7 920 D0 @ 4.2GHz (everyday use, can go considerably greater)Gigabyte X58A-UD3R MoboCorsair XMS3 򜩀MHz Ƒ.6v)Corsair H50 watercoolingBFG GTX275 OC'd850w Thermaltake PSUtwo-1TB WD Caviar Black HDDs (Raid Ɯ-40GB Intel SSDs (Raid for OS and some games)

Amazing power provide which runs incredibly cool. A distinction from most other people which will produce very a bit of heat. The fan is also really quiet. Yet another difference even from the 'silent fan' PSUs all the companies SWEAR they have.Got mine for 75 dollars with a ฤ rebate I by no means expected to get back... I never got my rebate back. Then once again, when do rebate EVER return on hardware? Has various modular connectors than other PSUs. Also, it didn't come with as many cables as connectors. No concept why.

ModularWorks for two years Stopped workingHoops that Thermaltake demand you to jump by means of in order for them to honor their 5 year warranty I purchased the PS in 11񳏈 and was as happy as I can be with a power provide till I came home from a company trip (Computer/Electrical Engineering) to find a dead machine. I known as Thermaltake and then sent me the RMA procedure. This process calls for you to have a copy of the receipt from the location of obtain. If I kept all receipts for five years I would drown in them. Luckily, right after some work, Finest Acquire was in a position to find the receipt in their program. If the product has a 5 year warranty and has a date of manufacture inside the last 5 years, fix it below warranty. The constraints concerning getting the original purchaser and obtaining, and getting in a position to prove that you purchased, from an authorized dealer is just a ploy to get out of the resposibility of fixing a faulty item.My next PS will be from a manufacturer with stipulations in their warranty. Otherwise I may possibly as well obtain a less costly PS with a shorter or no warranty period.

-Like modular design-Plenty of juice leaves room for upgrades-2 Power racks marked specifically for PCI-E two.-five-year warranty (I required it) -Died soon after a year with no apparent causes. It just shut off one day. Not a lot to say about a power provide. When it worked it worked well when it died I was not pleased.

Works wonderful, all the power I require. Fan is very quiet. Looks cool. Modular. Cables are wrapped in black mesh. Plenty of cables. None, it does precisely what it says on the box. It is a "fixed" 24pin principal connector.(mine is anyways, it also states this on thermaltake's web page)

Modular, CrossFire Cert., 80+ Cert., quiet, cool, braided lines, looks superior, sturdy construction, lots of cable options, lots of fail safes, 140mm fan, win7 compatible. Massive. Had to move dvd drive down a slot simply because this is about two" longer than old antec 300. Was finding freezes on win7 ult. x64 on significant file transfers and downloads. Now, none. Just solid, consistent power. Have noticed quicker boot instances, and waking up from sleep also.

Stable, quiet, nice braided wire connections. The develop excellent looks impressive. My computer turns on when I push the key power button (that is a great factor) and absolutely nothing fries. I have had no complications with this power supply. This is in an IBUYPOWER built personal computer. The unit came pre installed in my program, so I cannot comment on ease of installation. My first choice was a CORSAIR unit but there was a large backorder so I subbed in this unit. No regrets.

Stunning, lots of cables of far more than sufficient length, even for a full tower. Additional than sufficient energy for a gaming rig running one graphics card. The cables are sleeved in a nylon mesh that is definitely effortless on the eyes. Sadly the rocker switch is of ridiculously poor style. a small metal clip that's not a lot bigger that a regular sized staple is the only factor keeping the power on. Like most people today, I by no means touch it. I turn my method energy on and off at the front of the case, so the psu's switch stays in the on position at all times. Properly, it figures the 1 time I flipped that switch in the three months I've owned this psu, and it breaks, rendering the psu 100% useless. Happily Thermaltake's warranty is superior for five years. Manufacturer Response:Dear Consumer,We at Thermaltake apologize for the inconvenience this might have triggered you. Please contact ttsupport@thermaltakeusa.com for warranty information.Best regards,

none yet, perhaps when I get 1 that works. The power supply was DOA, not even the fan would run. I'm not certain how it ever passed the inspection that the sticker on the PSU implied. My whole develop is on hold waiting for the replacement to arrive.

Runs cool, nice lengthy modular cables.I was able to route my cables nicely without coming up brief in my (rather large) Thermaltake V9 case. Wish they had 1 cable that had 4pin molex mixed with SATA, so I could eliminate a cable from my setup. (More of a petty gripe than a con although). {Asus M4A77TD} {AMD Phenom II three.four} {Crucial Ballistix Tracer 8GB} {Asus GeForce GTX 260}{Thermaltake V9 case} {Thermaltake 850 PSU}{Lamptron FC-3}

somewhat modularlengthy cableslots of mod cablesbig fansuper quiet!!thermaltake nameaccording to newegg this is a quad rail psu, but when i received the psu I read the enclosed documents and it stated it was a single rail model, wich was an upgrade to the quad rail. I emailed thermaltake about this and the indeed upgraded this psu to a massive single rail since of not properly balanced quad rails was causeing instability, So to fix this they went to a single rail style wich I wanted in the beggining so this worked out real good for me newegg really should in fact put this in there notes about this psu as it is advertized as a quad rail, so this could throw folks off wish it was 100% modulawent on sale specifically four days immediately after i received my psu!! ษ.00 less costly any person wanting a good single rail, modualr psu, look no further as this is the one for you, Some of the poor reviews were due to the quad rail style, I think now we will see alot of 5 egg critiques
