Comment: It's modular..... Not sufficient amps on any of the rails to reliably overclock core I7 procs. Heck, 18 amps per rail isn't sufficient to run most newer cards!! Far more than 1 rail on todays psu's is not required and is really detrimental. Whether or not it's four rail or a single rail, if 1 rail is dead the psu is esentially dead. The days of four and 6 rail psu's is long past. Do yourself a favor and get a single rail style with at least 60 amps, you won't be sorry. When again, 18 amps is not sufficient to overclock a core I7. With a Corsair 1000 watt(with two x 40 amp rails) I'm running my I7 920ʃ.88ghz with no issues for months on end. Had to return due to the fact of the fan and I had 1 of these psu's in another rig. Tried this 1 with the I7 and no go, pc would barely turn on and then turn right back off and that's it!! I put it back in the other machine with a q9550ʄ.05ghz and viola, no difficulties!! Not a bad psu, just not very good sufficient for today's newest hardware. Nuff stated....... Would never acquire any psu with less than 25 amps per rail.....ever!!
