So,what's the problem? You want major cooling, it's gonna be huge. I have two V-1s sitting side by side on leading of two opteron quad cores on a Tyan 2915- E mobo. All that is sitting inside a 932 HAF. With 3x230mm and a 140mm fans blowing in all directions who can hear the V-1s anyway? I have no heating issues at all and I'm a gamer. NONE. Attempting to place a V-1 in a tiny case is like trying to place an elephant in a VW. If you want a massive CPU cooler, you put it in a huge situation. No heat, no issue.

- Outstanding style. Cooling fan functions both my CPU and Memory at the exact same time and blows directly into my twin 120 exhaust fans.- Running Athlon 64 X2 2600. Temps before switch: 32C idle, 50C load -- Temps immediately after switch: 21-23C idle, 38C load. I have but to break 35C with regular usage. - Large!! I'm making use of an X-Jupiter S-Form total size tower and this factor has perhaps 1 or two cm in between it and the side panel fan. I was nearly afraid I would require to eliminate the fan.- The fastening for the AM2 socket is a bit challenging to get right. The lever rubs into the heat pipes, forcing you to re-seat the heatsink before clamping it down. As soon as it's down even though it's not going considerably of anyplace.- The fan-speed handle nob seems a bit superfluous.- The fins are sharp. Take it from a single who learned the tricky way, be extra cautious with this one and bring a handful of bandages just in case x_x - As prior reviewers have stated this point is fairly loud correct out of the box. I had to override it in my bios and crank it down to ㅙ% fan speed 鼆 RPM). Now she's purring like a kitten with no sacrifice to performance.- This is one particular of the very best CPU coolers I've seen. General efficiency is properly worth the pricetag. My only regret is that I didn't obtain by Newegg.com

This is the very best CPU cooler i've noticed throughout my whole lan celebration group. I've been in a position to overclock my i7 to three. and larger with temps under 50! You may possibly have to bend it alittle, I had to bend it mainly because it was scrapping itself (no biggy) Loving it, can use it to overclock to high clocks!

Looks amazing. 1 of the coolest seeking fan/heatsink I've ever noticed. For ์ I expected much more. My buddy and I built two identical i7 computers. I purchased this heatsink, he purchased the Noctua. Now, there were no complications running it with the fan on high and the i7 at stock speeds, but one night I turned the fan down due to noise so I could sleep much easier, and it shut off as I was sleeping due to overheating. The i7 was at stock speeds. Also, after the both of us tried overclocking, he was able to achieve 3.9 gHtz with no cooling troubles. He hit three.9 with load temps of 49 degrees. This fan permitted me to go no larger than 3.two gHtz, and that's still with load temps at about 60-65. I went for three.6 and the temps hit 70 + on 15% load and idled about 50. I was actually expecting more from this cooler. ์ thermaltake, I believed I couldn't go incorrect. I don't fully grasp how one thing that looks so awesome can carry out so mediocre. It's an remarkable cool seeking cooler, but don't count on to be able to overclock incredibly a lot with this.

This thing keeps my Phenom 9850 ice cold compared to the arctic cooling freezer 64 i had previously, the 9850 is a hot chip by nature, and i saw my temps drop lower than expected. following slapping a dab of arctic silver ceramic, my temps soon after a couple of months are ranging from 28ㅖc at idle, to 48ㅪc when operating folding@home.This also has yet another benefit, if you have ram dimms with tall fins on them like the ocz reaper dimms i use, it will fit due to the way it mounts, the arctic cooling freezer pro, and zallman ball coolers don't. this cooler is an excelent get and i would highly reccomend it if you have a 65nm phenom that is running just a small also hot. none nada zip zilch. the mounting bracket for the amd boards is a discomfort to install thermaltake could have put a tiny additional thought into it, nevertheless due to the cooling advantage and the ram heat sink clearance issue's ive avoided, i dont assume that a not so fancy bracket qualifies as a con.thanks thermaltake and thanks newegg

COOLS nicely. i hear Flimsy construction and razor sharp fins make for an incredibly hard install. Fins were bent out of box each occasions (replaced when). Blue screen errors as well. This is the ony cooler i've tried on my board (evga 780i) with q9650 that has had any troubles. Steer clear of at all costs. Go with liquid if you actually want COOL.

Silent and Cold! Like cool blue ice! I mounted it facing with the fan blowing up and it feeds air straight into the 200mm leading fan on the Antec 1200 case for a wind-tunnel effect. When the CPU very first fire's up the heat sensor works so good that it won't turn on the fan for a few seconds and when it does come on I can't hear it, but I can see the blue light come on! The LGA 775 clips were a little hard to get to pop in at initially because the fins are so big it's tough to reach about, so I had to do it with the motherboard removed from the case. The fins and blue fan totally matched the fins and Silent-Pipe technology utilised on the entire Gigabyte GA-EP45T Extreme Motherboard and the blue fans on the Antec 1200 Extreme Gaming Situation and also the Vantec twin 70mm PCI slot Fans. Cool, Blue and Copper....

ok this issue is nice and does actually effectively at keeping my AMD athlon 64 x2 3800+ run at lower temps even though at lowest speed. this factor is substantially quiter than my stock fan which was running at 4600 rpm!!!! and it runs just as cool on lowest settings. im thinking that if i turned the fan on high (kind of loud) it would run about 15 degress cooler. im not positive if im just stupid but watch out the fins are SHARP!!!! they cut my finger when i was putting it in =[ truly good would run cpu a lot cooler but mine is a 90nm so ya

Decent cooling possible - if manufactured/modified adequately. Mount for AM2 is particularly annoying. What makes it far more annoying is that the cooler itself performs so poorly out the box i had to remount it multiple instances. I was obtaining 62C+ on a OC'd X4 @ three.six. Preceding cooler was an Arctic 64 92mm (which did better). Cooler is a joke out of the box, specifically for the price. FOR Those WITH HIGH TEMPS - You should disassemble the heatsink base (four screws) and add thermal compound in between the heat pipes and the base. It comes without the high temperate solder sort stuff that my AC 64 cooler had. Doing this dropped my temps 15C - but it need to of been completed for me.I recived this item for 20 shipped from manufacturer - its worth the 20$ when you modify it. But honestly Thermaltake.... make this item correctly.

Functions. Idle used to be 32c with stock cooler now it idles at 34c. On complete gaming loads (wow and team fortress starcraft2) gets up to 44c. The stock cooler would go all the way to 55c.Quiet. Compared to stock cooler it is silent when i closed my case. With case open I can hear it. I got it about 77% speed and don't even notice the noise. Stock cooler was really loud. Want to take away mother board for installation. I did not and had a extremely difficult time though installing it. I cut my finger alittle but i am a man and it was so tiny it did not bother me. I managed to fit it in then maneuver it in location and then locked it in. Idles hotter than stock but under loads it is a champ. AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.2gighzts. I am making use of it on ASUS M4A785TD-EVO board and Thermal take Armor Jr case.

Does a great job cooling. Really very good if your ram slots are quite close to your processor. Will slice your finger in half if not careful. The tension bracket is this most annoying thing in the world. It's a total discomfort attempting to get this issue installed with that low cost bracket. Be prepared to get thermal paste all over the location even though you're attempting to slide this thing back and forth to get it clamped down. I would recommend this cooler simply because it does work very good. Immediately after dealing with that annoying bracket you don't want to take it back off. When you get it on though, it does a fairly fantastic job.

Good cooler! I purchased this to replace a brand new 'other brand' cooler that wouldn't match on my board due to the fact of the sort of install, so push pins were the way to go for me. The pins themselves popped right in without having as well substantially difficulty, and are holding the cooler securely on my 775 socket. I changed from a stock intel cooler to this, along with changing more than situations also. i dont know how considerably of it is all the additional case fans, and how much is the cooler, but stock temps dropped 13 degrees instantly (lower than ambient room temp), and the blue led/design is good to appear at through my side panel Large. Could be too major for some circumstances, but then that's your fault if it doesn't match and not the manufacturers. Some say it doesn't conduct heat at all. Keep in mind there is such a thing as also substantially thermal paste that can hinder conductivity. I used a quite very thin layer which i spread around with a piece of cardboard I ripped off the box, and none on the cooler base itself. Like I mentioned above, stock temps dropped from 36c to 23c at idle with the fan speed at it's lowest. Wonderful cooler, im genuinely content with my invest in. Cools and looks terrific in my case. Props to thermaltake

This is a quite superior CPU heatsink for those utilizing dual core LGA775 and LGA1156 processors. It ran my E2200 at 3.15GHz for a extended time with decent temperatures. The all copper construction is nice, it isn't too loud, and the base is effectively machined. 1st off the push-pin mounting program is a pain. Any heatsink this enormous need to have a backplate and screws, rather than Intel's ridiculous push-pins.Also, this heatsink expenses far much more than it's worth. If you bought this for ุ it would be a excellent deal; but for ๎ there are far superior alternatives on the marketplace. A Prolimatech Megahalems only fees ๑ (though fans would push that up an additional บ-30). For the value you'd be greater off with a Xigmatek Dark Night or some such. This cooler is not enough for far more than a mild overclock of a quad core processor. At 4GHz 1.208V my Q9550 hit 80C through Prime95; far too hot. At 3.4GHz I can undervolt and run really cool, but that's mainly because I have a quite great chip. For the majority of people trying to get more than three.5GHz on a 45nm quad they must look elsewhere.

Looks fantastic. Does its job. Didn't have to get rid of mobo to install it. (Thought I wouldn't of minded) I have the cooler mounted so it is blowing air up and out the best exhaust. I don't know if this is connected but my fan will make a rattle at 100%. It goes away when I take it down to about 80%. Not a actual major deal but I'm assuming this fan will be annoying as hell or dead within a year or so. Pulls alot of heat off my North Bridge as nicely as the back of my GTX 260

Nice searching and top quality develop. I've not seriously pushed the processor just but with any overclocking but am confident that when I do this fan will hold its own keeping the processor cool. It looks wonderful in the case also. I wish the cord for the fan speed on the fan base was longer to run it to the outside of the case. The fan stands tall above the processor and in my full size Thermaltake Xaser case I'm going to have to eliminate the case fan on the side just above the V1 as it hits when I try to close the hinged door the case fans are mounted on. No biggy but makes me have to shed one particular case fan.

-Superb heat absorption and dissipation. (With arctic silver)-Fan Manage dial is great.-Extremely quiet design.-Massive but not as ridiculous as some other heat-sinks. Push and click program, gets your fingers cut, warps boards, and is supremely stupid, BUT, you could get just a back plate screw mount. (That's not why I took off two eggs, see other) The low rating is since I purchased this cpu cooler on 3ቭ񳏉 and the fan just clicks back and forth more than and over. I tried just employing it as a stock heat sink with no fan, but the temps rose by about 11-12°c. So it only worked for 1 year and 7 months, sad. My Xigmatek on the other hand is 4 years old, an nonetheless operates fine. Manufacturer Response:Dear Buyer, We at Thermaltake apologize for the inconvenience this might have induced you. All copper design with four correctly placed heatpipes. two Fanned out heat dissapation surfaces with two heatpipes each and every. Every fanned out surface on opposite sides of huge adjustable speed ball bearing fan. I have installed this in roughly 200 circumstances to date and had NO failures on any CPUs. Overclocking on air must be accomplished only with coolers this properly constructed. A hot i920 at 4Ghz on air is beyond risky, but not with this heatsink keeping it under 65c with room temp at 80f. Even E8400 hits three.8Ghz with lots of headroom at 50c. These are peak temps in Prime95 with the CPU's in burn in folks, this fan is critical organization. Calls for a case with almost five inches of space measuring from the top rated of the CPU to the opposite case wall. Not intended for use in tight mini circumstances, however bending the ends of the copper fins 90 degrees does NOT influence the cooling general and can present up to 1ǘ inch more space in tight instances - this is tedius operate and calls for suitable tools to not cut yourself as thin copper is quite sharp. I use this in my own rig right after getting gone by means of the pain and hassel of liquid cooling on my prior process. The cooling general is the same for the CPU. If you are wanting some thing similar for your graphics Zalman tends to make one much like this with a 90mm fan that has a fan controller as nicely and is dead silent. As a combonation in a case with even mild airflow you will be silent and cool- Antec P182, Antec 300, Antec 900 circumstances all dead silent with these installed. Hope you uncover this helpful.

The thing performs as advertised. It's a gigantic chunk of copper with a huge surface location, and a good blue light. It dropped my CPU temperatures (according to Speed Fan) by 12 C when idling (please note prior cooler was one particular included with processor). The processor is a 65nm Intel dore 2 duo. It's major, so it won't fit in circumstances smaller sized than midtower. It has some heft to it.Each of these points are assumed from the photos, so don't influence my rating. You gotta enjoy it. It's a fantastic heat sink, has a classy style, and does what it advertised.Keep in mind the size, but there's a purpose for being as huge as it is.The mounting bracket seems more created for an AMD processor, but operates fantastic with the LGA 775 socket.
