Simple cable management and comes with anything required to connect to the most recent motherboards/video cards. Additional than adequate energy to handle Quad SLI. It runs very very and appears nicely made. I replaced a Pc Energy & Cooling 750 with this one when I built my new gaming rig so I am used to, and count on, top rated notch performance. And so far, it has not disappointed. Typically would have just purchased one more PCP&C or Enermax (my two fav brands), but my sister suggested I try this one. The PSU is the most crucial component of the pc and typically gets overlooked or underbudgeted. Then individuals complain about Windows and bluescreens bla bla. It's the PSU people. You require stable rails. If you add a second Dual SLI card and four drives and want to run it with an off-brand PSU you get what you pay for. When I stopped buying junky PSU's and started purchasing good quality, (which this is), the computers became a lot more stable. All my computers use Enermax, PCP&C and now Thermaltake. About the only thing I could say unfavorable (and it is a stretch, literally), was that the mobo power cable is about 2" too short. I run my PCs (some are servers), on a property-made rack, and the PSUs are on the rack beneath the mobos. I had to relocate the psu to a position on the rack that was not optimum to get the cable to reach the mobo. Not Thermaltake's fault. But a slightly longer cable would have been good.

- - Arrived half dead. Principal energy connections worded fine, the odd one particular is where the drives come on. I have two CD drives, two challenging drives (a 160Gb Raptor and a 500Gb Storage drive), and 2 NVidia 9600 GT cards. Power got to the CD drives, but not the challenging drives, and since it didn't boot, cant say for the gfx cards. Didn't matter how you plugged in the power connections to which rail or which slot, only the CD drives would get energy. Odd sufficient, took an old PSU out of an older computer 鼮 W, also a thermaltake modular PSU), plugged it in with 1 graphics card, and it booted just fine. Tried performing both cards, and it just hanged. Cant say much a lot more than that. Sent it back about a week later, got my cash back a week soon after that. Ought to have sent it straight to thermaltake to take a look at it considering that it has a standard three year warranty. (Rating does not reflect the product general, just the one I received)

Great power box. Cable management edition. Will handle anything you can think about. Must be excellent enough for three-way SLI don't you feel? Pricey but this is a single component of your Computer you do not want to skimp on. So not actually a con. Currently I have this point powering:- An overclocked Q6600 @ three.6ghz 1.488vcore- Two 8800 ultras operating in SLI mode.- five tricky drives, two 500gig and three 150gig raptors.- two optical drives, DVD burner and DVD drive.- four 1gb corsair dominator sticks of ram.- A tv tuner cardIt has this cool modular power cable method that will allow you to only use the cables you want and not use the ones you don't will need... keeps the situation fairly clean. The voltage rails are holding steady... no spiking or dropping that I can see... and I had it on a modded MBM5 graphed...maybe I shouldn't hype this thing too much, I wouldn't want the value going up due to demand ;) None discovered to date

ideal power supply i've ever seen. the modular plugs are a great concept that more firms really should use. the plugs had been even stored in a canvas bag within the box as an alternative of just plastic. rated for far more than adequate energy to run my process with two gtx 260's and q9450. really should even have the power to add a 3rd card in the future. a bit pricey.

Good PSU whilst it worked (two weeks). I also liked Thermaltake's thought of the plug in cables. Use what you want with much less clutter in your situation. Following two weeks I had issues with power to different units in the method. Occasionally after shutting down the program it was a hit or miss powering it back up. Discovered out by moving the cables to the PSU while it was powered up or unplugging different ones and then plugging back in, the process would power-up. For the price of this unit I didn't count on that manual labor would be involved for operation. Disappointed in Thermaltake as I have had other merchandise from this firm with no problems. RMA'd it back to Newegg and received e-mail that this item was eith out of stock or dis-continued. Decided on a refund and am going with ABS.

lots of power to run all your stuff...the biggie here is the truth that it's modular. you can make your situation look super neat and it is great that you don't have to deal with an "octopus" might be overkill, unless you're building a total tower with a lot of components(hard drives, dual/triple vid cards, etc) so far so fantastic. thermaltake is a excellent brand and i've by no means had a single go out on me.

none So far ive gone by way of a RMA for my motherboard and this PSU. The initially pair would turn on but soon after shutting down and attempting a cold boot the process would not turn back on till the powersupply had its cord or switch turned off for a couple of seconds. So far ive tried two different powersupplies on two different boards(with components installed and with out) and both suffer from the similar difficulty.

Good item. 1 day following I bought a different vendor had the same item for 贄.00 less costly. Newegg would not match so have to RMA and order from the other vendor. Newegg has been excellent just before but this leaves me with a poor attitude of them. Newegg probably wont post this due to the fact it is unfavorable but this is for all the folks that get taken for high costs.

Outstanding cable management, apparently really high-good quality workmanship, quite simple იv rail management with color-coded PCI-E cables, 8-pin PCI-E. In truth, almost everything would be ideal about this energy provide IF IT HAD WORKED! It didn't function. Out the box, I had a problem operating a single 9800GX2. No POST with out resetting CMOS, so BIOS changes would in no way take. I went mad attempting to figure out what was broken because my previous PSU (Tagan 1.1kW Turbojet) was out for RMA. In the finish, I replaced literally Almost everything in my program (chip, RAM, mobo, video) just before I decided - just for the heck of it - to try my new Tagan (which by now had been RMA'ed). And, voila: issue solved. So, it had to have been the 8-pin or 24-pin (which share the similar rail) that was supplying insufficient power; quite an enormous challenge, and one that some individuals (with smaller budgets) may under no circumstances attribute to the PSU to start with. I truly wish this could have worked out far better, but how can I give this PSU something other than 1 star if it was DOA and made me commit over USDũ,000 trying to figure out the problemɹDMark: 2006 19,638, Vantage 10,168EVGA 9800GX2 SSC 鼢񳒄񳌜, 175.12)E8400 four.23 / QX6700 3.83 / E6750 3.82 (Tuniq 120, lapped)ASUS Rampage Formula X38 0401 (Hacked Maximus 1.03Gƞx1GB Ballistix PC2-8500 񡻨MHz, 5-four-5-12-2T, two.18v)Thermaltake 1.2kW, 2 Raptor Xs (RAID-), X-Fi PlatinumVista Ultimate x64 SP1

The actual power supply itself is good! It is reasonably heavy and properly constructed. It comes with a wide assortment of cables to accommodate the components that you may possibly have in your program. The layout of this power provide's SATA cables prevented me from employing them with my HDDs. The layout of my situation is mostly to blame for this problem. I had to obtain some SATA extension cables that I plugged into the four pin Molex cables on the power provide. I also had to buy an extension cable for the 8 pin power cable that powers the CPU on my motherboard. I speculate that this power supply was probably developed to accommodate Thermaltake's circumstances, since I required to purchase some additional cables to accommodate my Silverstone TJ10 case.

When it functions appears ok This has got to be the worest product control I have seen. They have stickers on the inside of this unit stuck on with glue and absolutely nothing else. On of these stickers came shed and lodged itself just appropriate that it prevented the psu fan from spinning and burned it out. When I known as them and asked for 24 hour service they wanted all types of paperwork. Their fax machine was just about as great as their psu it would not operate. When I asked them if they would open the replacement they were going to send they told me they could not and if I open it up to take away the stickers I void the warranty. This is the 2nd poor item I have had from this firm in less than 4 months. Frist was 1 of their high finish circumstances that would not cool correctly and now their psu. For goodness sake a piece of paper that burns up a psu. Beware of this co they want your dollars but not willing to give client service soon after the sale. Thank goodness for Newegg I explained what was going on and they went way out of their to take care of the problem. Thank you newegg. WAY TO ROCK. Manufacturer Response:Dear Xanthus, we have sold hundreds of this power provide and this is the 1st time of getting such issue. Please forgive our service team as they try their best to serve you. Worked perfectly out of the box. Replaced an older model Enermax Galaxy 1000W chiefly for the built in 8-pin PCI-E. Threw it on an PSU tester just to be certain (I assume you ought to generally do this when installing a new PSU to enable troubleshoot down the line if needed) and all voltages came back excellent. It has even far more modular cables than my final PSU and all cables you would probably require are included and are extended adequate for my Antec 900. I noticed they seem to be sticking with the numerous tough-wired CPU power connectors on most brands for now (one 8-pin and one fourƲ pin tricky-wired, I don't see why). Personally, I don't notice substantially of a distinction as soon as you get to the upper echelon group of high-end PSUs. I ended up with this brand due to the fact I was shopping at another river-themed internet site for the more quickly/cheaper overnight shipping w/ Prime and this was the brand available. Warranty is a little longer than the Enermax, but this PSU is also small additional pricey. $$$ but if you are searching at 1 of these you have spent $$$$$$$$ on the rest of your technique components and want robust, stable power to go with them. Silicone rubber noise-absorbing gasket wouldn't enable the PSU to fit/mount below PCI slots in Antec 900 so I am not making use of it-it is nevertheless the quietest component with a fan in my program and has fan speed has in no way ramped up that I'm conscious of.Gigabyte GA-X38-DQ6 F8, QX6800ʃ.46GHzᤔC(idle) w/ CoolIt Freezone Elite, 8GB G.Skill DDR2-1066, Diamond HD3870x2, 4xWD Raptor RAID , 2x DVD-RW, Thermaltake TP-1200W(modular), Antec 900, Vista x64

The Power supply has excellent written all more than it. It seems that the finest supplies had been utilised to manufacture it. I have two ATI HD4870s, an Areca Raid controller, and four Barracuda Difficult drives. My Motherboard is an Asus Maximus Extreme, and I'm operating an E8400 Intel processor. Every little thing seems to be operating smooth. Like other individuals have Posted... Occasionally the powersupply fails it's powerup self test, and shuts down virtually immediately. The only way to bring your method back to life is to totally power down the motherboard either by flipping the switch, or unpluging the PS. Right after your confident power is fully drained off the motherboard, repower the supply, and wait... maybe 40 seconds. Then hit the power button on the front. Even then it's hit or miss, you may possibly have to do it once again. What a pain! A single reviewer stated he had to reset his BIOS to get the machine back up and running... I believed that for a even though mayself, and I utilised to reset the BIOS usually. It's not truly the case, atleast in my scenario. Often you just have to try again... and maybe once more.

This is a amazing power supply. But what else would you anticipate at this value? I don't see voltage drops, my 3way SLI and overclocked Q6600 appear to operate fine. I haven't had a problem yet, and I don't count on a single. I leave it on at least 8 hours a day, but I can't comment on the energy consumption simply because I don't spend for my electrical energy. I'd imagine it would be the most power hungry device in the house, so don't get it if you're as well conscious about your power bill. Runs this setup just fine:Intel Q6600ʃ.two, 3waySLI 8800GTX OC, eVGA 780i, 4GB OCZ, WD Raptor 150, WD 160GB, BR/HD/DVD RAM, 6 120mm case fans

Modular, good bag for unused cords, nice big fan. It was off to a good start out but I was producing some changes in my BIOS and when I went to restart my laptop was dead. My USB LED mousepad was lit, lights on my MOBO were lit but no begin-up. I turned energy switch off till all lights had been out. I turned switch back on, lights came on, fan blades rotated a small on case fans, then nothing. Turned off switch, unplugged. Came back an hour later plugged it in, turned on switch and it kicked on. Went to windows, hit restart, back to square 1, no power, just lights. Went to nearby shop and bought a different PS and no complications. Attempting to RMA this point but it's not working.

This PSU is seriously nicely created! Brawn + Beauty!! The people at Thermaltake should get some sort of design award for this monster. The a lot of additional (modular) cables are SOOO handy - and a velcro-closing bag to keep all the spares is a thoughtful & practical touch. Thanks, Thermaltake! absolutely none Purchase this one particular! You can not have as well a lot power. If I ever create other rigs, I will insist on utilizing Thermaltake PSU's only!
