A fine purchase. The 140mm fan is ultra silent and blows a lot of cold air to the case. Modularized cable management allowed me to tidy up things in the case. Highly recommend it. |

Thermaltake Toughpower W0133RU 1200W Power Supply GeForce GTX 480 Certified
Cons:A bit large, may not fit certain case, please refer to your case allowance for Power supplies before purchasing this unit.
Pros:Sturdy, silent, modular + tons of power Comment:
I bought this to power up my beefy loaded system with tons of optical drives, hard drives, 3 sli 8800 ultra, dual water cooling loop etc.. all powered through this monster. It just cant get enough, highly recommended and very stable, note that the reviews are all bowing at this thing :) |

Thermaltake Toughpower W0133RU 1200W Power Supply GeForce GTX 480 Certified
Cons:Nothing I've found
Pros:Efficiency, peak capacity, stability Comment:
I run 4 WD Raptors in RAID-0, plus 2 more 7200 RPM SATA's in RAID 1. 4x1GB of PC2-6400, in a Silverstone TJ-09, with 4x120 mm fans, and 1x80 mm. Currently 1x Evga 8800 GTX (with another on order), and a Core 2 Duo E6600 CPU (Q6600 on order), all on an ASUS P5B Deluxe (Striker Extreme on the way for SLI).When I went to 4-way RAID-0 and the 8800 GTX, my Seasonic S12 600 W PS couldn't keep up - i.e. sporadic reboots. Once I swapped in the Toughpower 1200 - system ran completely stable, and my 3DMark06 score went up by 300 points. I.e. the S12 was starving my GTX. And the S12's a very good power supply - it was just overmatched. If you going to run Quad-core+Raptor RAID+SLI'd GTX's+4 GB RAM, and then overclock on top of that - this is the PS for you. You can google all day long, and every review that you'll find gives it an Editor's choice, or the equivalent. Once I've upgraded my system to the above configuration, and had a chance to burn it in properly, I'll update with my experience. This review was modfied by poster @ 07-23-07 11:16 AM |
Very good power supply. supports quad SLI and has a very good wire management system that keeps your case looking nice and you can barely hear it. GOOD BUY
