Low-cost, situation stays cool, quick transfer speeds Absolutely nothing worth noting. Other reviewers have noted the case getting huge sufficient for the difficult drive to potentially move about. I haven't noticed this to be a huge deal, but I don't move the drive about a lot so it hasn't created significantly distinction in my use.

Aluminum keeps enclosure and tough drive cool when not in use. It doesnt really feel flimsy or low cost at all. The aluminum is really quite sturdy suprisingly. Cables that came with it were a bit short but I wouldnt knock off an egg for that. Took me half an hour to locate a screwdriver that would match the screws but like I mentioned I wouldnt knock off an egg for that. The enclosure survived a 6 foot drop into the street and hardly scratched. I was worried that the challenging drive inside would be performed for ࿜ GB PS3 Drive) so I plugged it into my laptop and sure sufficient the drive was definitely fine. Extremely sturdy enclosure but I wouldnt advocate you go drop testing it.Not the fanciest or coolest looking enclosure but you cant beat the cost. I would advocate this item to anybody and I would definetly buy one more.

Seemingly strong construction, basic but sophisticated design. n/a - any common USB cable has worked for me I havent' had any troubles with the screws.. just be cautious and don't over crank them you really should be fine.

Good enclosure, but not perfect.The activity light can light up a dark room, because it's very bright. The including USB cable is very short, about 1 1/2 feet in length.

This does just what it says; I added in a 350GB drive and a 500GB drive and had no difficulty with either. The "Y" adapter isn't a challenge to use and both the drives I've attempted so far remain cool and quiet in the case. As well early to tell about the longevity of the device, but so far I haven't found any cons. Looks like it's a fantastic deal - particularly with free of charge shipping.

Really Thin, durable, requires a beating in my laptop bag everyday. Can power almost everything by means of the USB cable. none.. I had an added 500gig laptop drive, purchased this, threw it inside, place it back together, and this thing is just as portable as a flash drive virtually but 500gig! When I plug it in, it shows up and is accessible just as rapid if not quicker than a usb flash drive. I advise this for positive.

Not substantially bigger than the drive itself (definitely wider and longer). Metal dissipates heat nicely, even though offering sturdy protection. Immediately after seeing the solid construction, I will probably buy the eSata/USB version of this enclosure.four screws integrated, only two necessary. Further screws are nice. No power adapter included. Some of the testimonials mention eSata. This is enclosure is USB two. only. The photo looks like it could be eSata because there is a "punch out" for the location where the eSata backplane would be.I bought this with a Seagate 500GB 7200RPM momentus. When I received my order, I popped the tricky drive into the enclosure, hooked it up to my laptop, and I am currently using Seagate/Acronis' DiskWizard to clone my laptop tricky drive for a swap out.

Good enclosures... I like 'em... great price tag point, does the job. No acquiring about some drives needing the added energy USB but that's OK... lots of drives have worked with just 1 USB being plugged in. But I've been pleased with these. If you have an old model Apple Powerbook with one USB port on each side of the laptop or computer, this almost certainly won't be a very good bet for you unless you happen to get a drive that doesn't want the additional power... I haven't figured out a pattern for it... but really this applies to ANY usb-powered enclosure on those Powerbooks... kinda silly.... there are ways to get this to work (e.g. USB extension cable or a drive with lower energy specifications) but you're much better off going with Firewire for individuals Powerbooks.

Compared to other external enclosures, at least this 1 looks and feels good.For it's cost (and totally free shipping) it's fairly good.Also it's quite uncomplicated and uncomplicated for you to use if you have no practical experience whatsoever. If you have a <GB SATA 2.5in HDD, this is excellent.Be gentle with the situation screws. Modest, sturdy, basic case. Works properly with a 320Gb drive. Does not operate with WD 640GB drive. I get driver load errors in win64ቼ and vista64, and the identical encolsure will not operate with my 320GB drive. I have previously bought the similar enclosre at an additional time and I have no complications with a 320GB drive. the WD640 will not work on that case either. I feel this was a poor batch of enclosures. I wish I bought a thing more compatible for my 640GB drive.
