Drop HD in, use the provided screw-driver to button it up and plug it into a usb. Pure simplicity and it operates. Nice carrying case to soften any bumps it may well encounter. One of the greatest บ investments I've ever produced. None to speak of.

Glad I don't want to see the case subsequent to the wii, as a result I'll leave it the drive appropriate side up and the case upside down. :)*Not positive what the included mini screw driver, because it under no circumstances appears to match.. hence I applied my own It operates, but the USB cable to incredibly brief and the drive is mounted upside down in the case with respect to the case lettering. This doesn't stop it from operating, I just placed it so that the drive is suitable side up and the case is upside down.

Fantastic construction on the case itself.Black matches every little thing else I have.Sata drive enclosure Quit working 1 week following I had it.Electronics on the unit went out I tested drive in yet another enclosure and it functions.Have to spend to send back and aggravation of shipping it back if I want a replacement.Manufacturer ought to send me a new sata connector pc for my case. The manufacturer must be the ones that send us back replacement connector instead of me sending it back and paying. It's just not worth sending back.Initial time dealing with this firm so far not impressed.

No finger prints and yes it operates like it must. Applied it on A old PS3 Hdd and it is all good.

Wonderful value, does the job. My netbook's difficult drive shows an error and Windows XP can\'t start out. I wanted to save my files from the Hard Drive and this enclosure did the job. I'll ttry to save the difficult drive but if not, I'll use it as an external difficult drive with the enclosure. None. Great so far!

It does what it is supposed to do. Absolutely nothing This thing is cheap, it does what it is supposed to do but nothing at all flashy. Seems to be an all round excellent solution and a really reasonable value.

I can't think that I really got all my data back with this. I performs excellent. Its actually straightforward to use. Its lightweight and portable. Fantastic value! Absolutely nothing at all, it does its job.

great enclosure for $7. Using to re-purpose an old laptop drive. Tested perfectly with Win7 machine. Should have picked up a couple more.

Lightweight but sturdy.Very easy to assemble.Performs flawlessly with almost everything from windows XP to windows 7. Keeps challenging drive cool and stable (no flopping about in case)Speedy data transfer. Cord is about ten-12 inches extended. Really good for laptops, not pretty superb for (under) desktops. Like other folks have mentioned, you do have to have two usb ports that are *POWERED* for this to work with the high end drives. The low speed, low energy drives can run on 1 port. Cannot beat this top quality for the cost.

It's a 2.5 inch drive enclosure. Bought one because had to access some data on a broken laptop. Was easy to put together, but my biggest problem with it is that the only thing keeping it from not sliding around inside is a bunch of foam on the other end.

My old enclosure stopped working so I needed a cheap replacement. I tried this one with my 120GB OCZ Agility 3 SSD and with a 500GB Samsung 7200 RPM HDD. First, when I plugged it in, it only worked half of the times (Win7 messsage that USB device was not recognized in the other half of the times). I am using a Dell XPS 17 laptop and tried both, the USB2 ad USB3 ports. With the SSD, I only needed to format it, which at the end worked OK. But with the 500GB Samsung HDD, the device keeps disconnecting once in a while (I was copying a 14GB data file and it took 4 attempts before it finally copied it over properly). I thought that this could have been a power issue, but I tried to plug in everything including the supporting power USB (i.e., two USBs in the laptop and one in the enclosure) and it still disconnects the device sometimes. I mean it could be Windows fault but I doubt it.In addition, my unit came without the plastic protector that I was supposed to place on the circuit board of the hard drive according to the instructions. But I also tried to use the unit open while placing the HDD carefully on a piece of paper to make sure there is no short circuit. This did not help and everything performed pretty much the same. So I am quite confident that my issues are not related to missing plastic protector.In conclusion, it was painful but I achieved what I needed for now. Maybe I was just unlucky but I wouldn't buy this again although it is not worth for me to try return it. Will probably test it also with one of my other laptops just for the sake of trying it out.

Not much to say about it. Most 2.5" enclosures are pretty much the same. Have two of these and they do the job. Was the cheapest enclosure I could find. The only negative point I have with this enclosure, is the drive rattles around inside a little, at least mine does (Western Digital 500GB WD5000BEVT). To prevent this, I took some tape and paper stuck it on the inside of the enclosure.

Price tag is right for this tiny enclosure. It comes with a cover to slide the enslosure/drive into when not being applied. Bright LED access light makes it effortless to see when it is in use. Drive not supported well when put into enclosure. It will move internally when moved or shaken. I place a smaller piece of the bubble packing into the enclosure bottom to keep the drive from moving about internally. It worked wonderful. This drive worked good for copying my laptop HD to my new Hybrid drive employing free HD clone software program. My old laptop drive will now use the enclosure as my external drive. For the value, I seriously can't complain.

Excellent solid design, Connects effectively with no odd hickups as some other enclosures would do. Does rattle but some foam rubber strips clear that up. Wonderful metal enclosure that seriously works!!

I'm pretty impressed with this enclosure. Everything from the feel of the case, to even the packaging were very impressive for the price. For an inexpensive USB 2.0 enclosure, you realy can't go wrong.

Design looks and feels strong. Has worked on more than a dozen different computer systems devoid of a hitch. Situation does a excellent job at keeping the disk cool. Integrated storage/carrying situation is over sized and makes it possible for the drive to effortlessly operate it's way out when transporting. The mini USB port seems a bit shallow, plugs to not match flush against case rising chances of accidental harm. Price tag is proper, Cons are only minor complaints about an otherwise exceptional product.

This enclosure works to connect your drive, but I would not want to move it around too much. Unlike many other enclosures, there is no frame attached to the SATA connector card to support the drive. You basically connect the SATA face plate, slap a sticker on the drive circuit board, and stuff the drive in the box. Unlike other reviewers, my enclosure came with a cheap pleather sheath.

- Inexpensive- Performs- Fits Snugly Wish it only took up 1 USB port. Not a flaw in the product, they all have to be made this way. Replaced a 500Gb, 5400RPM laptop drive with a SSD and employed this to convert it to an external HDD. Functions perfectly, felt like I was getting a totally free external challenging drive! Simple install, screwdriver worked, no issues to report.

Bought for salvaging the hdd on a laptop. Quick and easy, get the job done.
