Bought one of these because my laptop died. This is a great enclosure for a great price. all the others are cheap quality, but this; right out of the box, its a very strong product. It's the best 2 5 sata enclosure for the price. highly recommended. too bad it wasn't in stock at tiger, i had to buy it elsewhere. only con though is, that the hd rattles a little inside, but its no problem, just put a piece of foam, and your set.

the only thing i didnt like was that the cord that came with it takes up two usb ports

Not much to say about it. Most 2.5" enclosures are pretty much the same. Have two of these and they do the job. Was the cheapest enclosure I could find. The only negative point I have with this enclosure, is the drive rattles around inside a little, at least mine does (Western Digital 500GB WD5000BEVT). To prevent this, I took some aluminum foil duct tape and some aluminum foil and stuck it on the inside of the enclosure. This review was modfied by poster @ 01-21-10 06:57 PM

Nice, sleek, and cheap! Paired with a 160gb from a dead laptop I have, and it worked right out the pocket. Only drawback is that, it needs 2 ports to power up , but other than that is a really great product.

Sleek, slim and compact design. Paired this unit with a 500GB 5400 8MB drive that was available. This provided quick, reliable backup and transport of documents and data. We liked this unit so well that we purchased a second one.

Tried everything. Works with other drives. Drive works with other enclosure. Older version Scorpio even works with it, just not a new Blue. Disappointing they were purchased together. Guess I wasted $5 and a few hours trying to make it work. Nice enclosure otherwise.

I used this when I replaced the hard drive in my laptop; placed the old drive in this case. It's a pretty standard case with two screws holding in the SATA interface. The hard drive slides in easily and it comes with a screwdriver and USB cable. No real issues with it. Works like it should.
