Bought it back in June along with a SSD for my laptop. SSD is fine. The enclosure is DOA. Wasn't worth the shipping to send it back. At least the screw driver works! Looking at other sites feedback these units either work for you or not. The old saying that you get what you pay for certainly applied this time. Not such a good deal afterall. It seems that the NCIX review process will not accept a 1 star rating. It keeps asking you to enter more verbage in the review... even after 50 plus words ... So I've given it a 2 star rating so just maybe it will be posted .... Still at 2 stars the review is too short ... come on... lets try 3 stars ... quiet, smaller size, great styling, functions like a champ carrying case is less than stellar Bought to clone the new 500 GB WD Black challenging drive I bought to upgrade my Macbook 13". Powers up fine with only a typical USB cable. Drive operation is quiet and the enclosure seems stout. Carrying case is affordable, but who cares. The enclosure performs as advertised and the price tag can't be beat. Very encouraged.

Operates well with no issues on my 2.five"drives. typical hdd and SSD (OCZ Vertex 2 60GB) I wish they sold an adapter only version devoid of enclosure that was roughly this size.
