Comment:
Moves a high amount of air. It's incredibly loud. I have an Antec Nine Hundred with all fans slot loaded and this pci-slot fan is louder than all of them combine. I have a gtx 280 and it ran at 50C idle and 62C+ in games, maya, and so on. I took off the plastic casing of the gpu and entirely exposed the heatsinks of the gpu (troublesome approach). The exposed heatsinks were now completely exposed to the pci-slot fan and it lowered the temp to 38C idle and 50C+ non-idle(These temps had been recorded on the lowest fan setting and also although the GPU fan is disconnected). Crysis full loaded ran at 62 at lowest fan speed. Bought it 3 years ago and it nevertheless runs

I've owned this expansion slot cooler for rather some time and should say it performs quite admirably. I initially put it in my Dimension 2450 blowing on a continually overheating GPU which would trigger method freezes to stop further damage to the unit. Soon after placing a box fan on the situation I ultimately decided to get this. This worked equally as nicely as the box fan for the GPU. I then upgraded my computer and while playing some games noticed the GPU was still obtaining pretty revved. So I once again put this on it and BAM cool as cuke. On high this thing sounds like an F-18. It will destroy you in the air and deploy its ordinance to the ground.

I use this card to cool my tough drive array. I have in sitting in the case on its bottom, pointed straight at my tough drives. It does a wonderful job - per speed fan Smart data, my difficult drives run cooler than most other identical model in their database. My newer pc utilizes spring loaded mounts for the tough drives, and won't let me mount a tough drive cooler on every single drive, so I bought one more one particular of these for the tricky drive array, blowing from the side - there is adequate space to put a single there and nevertheless be in a position to put the side cover on. No cons - it has a slide controller so you can set the speed. I can't hear the fans when the situation is closed. A similar product which I have in a third computer system is a blitztorm. It also uses 70mm fans, but one of the fans is a turbine, blowing out the back of the case. I have that fan array mounted commonly in a pci slot, the variable direction 70mm pointed up at the graphics card. But as a tough drive array cooler, the vantec, with two 70mms blowing straight ahead, is a better notion.

Blue LED... No out of situation ventiliation, just blows hot air from your situation onto your card and solves nothing. 1-2C transform on low, maybe much more on high but then you have a vicious tornade sounding fan in it. Antec 900. 8800GTX

It does move a lot of air, and the LED's add fairly a bit of light to the lower end of your case. It died on me following a demanding three years of service. Not undesirable. The fan speed adjuster is a great function. It's pretty friggen loud when it's on max. In a position to overpower my three energy supply, two situation, and cpu fans. If your program does not have very good ventilation, this isn't the best item to set up since it just blows air pretty turbulently inside, but if you have a side case fan it should be ok. 1 fan blowing down, one particular blowing out would've been a much better setup.

This PCI slot cooler works like the add says and it will lower your video card temps some. Ɠc to 5c for my system). I have really good air flow in my cooler master storm scout situation but you can under no circumstances have to significantly cooling in your computer. I use it on a 5770 sapphire radeon (Juniper XT) card and my temps did go down Ɠc to5c). It has fantastic air flow but the sound can get to you if you turn it up a lot more than .five%.. My temps do seem to go back down more rapidly too immediately after I have been running my video card at high loads playing games than befor I place it in... I have no cons to list it works extremely great for me. The LED lights not becoming as bright soon after a brief time may well be a con for some users...(Not for me in this situation I just wanted greater video card cooling). The only point I found that may possibly be a con for someone is that the LED lights do not appear as bright right after I have had it for a couple of weeks now.(only 3 or four weeks)... (I did not list this as a con becaues I did not order it for the LED lights. I wanted far better cooling for my video card and it dose this fantastic for me...

None. This thing does Nothing to my gpu temp. I have an 8800GT and my temps are the similar with or devoid of it. It must be the design mainly because even as I turn the fan speed from low to high my temp only drops one degree. Also, it is rather noisy even on lowest speed. The LEDs look purple compared to the rest of my case fans. 25 bucks? Use it on a actual vga heatsink instead of this piece of junk. Doesn't cool something, no drop in temps, loud, purple LEDs.Oh yeah, I purchased this at tiger direct and they don't accept returns on this item :(

The double fan setup is wonderful! It brought my 7900GS down from 50C with a single PCI fan to 46C, and in no way gets above 51C at full load now, not to mention that it tosses air like a ragdoll in my comp This fan doesn't have any method of expelling air out of the situation. Regardless of the enormous airflow it creates, a very good air excretion setup to compliment this fan would be required to bring out it's complete possible. If you can't develope a fan setup to expel the air it churns, I would not advocate this fan for video cards that don't expel their heat out from the personal computer situation. This fan is ideal for high end SLI process with case expelling airflow video cards, or any other vid card with case expelling airflow.

Considerably quieter than expected even on high settings.Helpful at developing very good airflow next to the passive video card heat sync. bottom of the range does not do anything at all - the fans start spinning at 25% or so. Could be a "pro" given that this permits to retain fans off if desired. My situation was did not have any fans in the area of video card and passive cooling wasn't operating well with Gigabyte's ATI Radeon 4850 1G silent video card. Adding this cooler helped to drive temperature down from 80C to 55C on idling and from 120C thermal locks up to 83C when card is in active use.Cannot hear this over the noise of hardrives - so it does not sabotage the quietness of not so "passive" cooling.

Dropped my 8800 GTS' idling temp from 65c to 48-9c. Before I had this card, I'd manually set my GPU's fan speed up from the default everytime I logged into windows--but that's not an solution in my Hackintosh boot. With the GPU's fan cranked to 77% (loud) it would idle at 48, but punch back up to 65+ below a decent load (UT Classic, or Fallout three on max settings @ 1600x1200) and go even higher ࿦C+!!) in Nexiuz cuz it's such a resource hog. Following stripping the GPU's plastic casing off (simple removal of possibly seven screws, no breakage no modding) to expose the stock heatsinks to the Vantec fans, i am now idling at 47-48 with one particular display on or 48-50 with two displays running 񢃀x1200 and 1680x1050 respectively). At minor load (dvds or photoshop) it's hitting about 52C, at significant loads (UT and Fallout) it's hitting about 54C, and Nexuiz now lands me ideal around 65c again--no surprise there, but it beats 70+.For ฤ-a thing, I couldn't be happier with the benefits. I just hope it doesn It's a bit loud, but no louder than my GPU's stock fan. I have 3 other fans currently implemented, one inlet on the side-panel of my situation, across from my mobo, blowing near-perfectly straight onto the vantec fan. One inlet in the front blowing across my tough-drives and back to the mobo and the vantec fan. One particular outlet on the back at the top, above the vantec fan and close to my processor. I hope this is beneficial for any person seeking to setup a great air-cooling technique.

It does what it's supposed to do: move air and cool down graphics cards. Dropped my idle temps by 2 C on about twoǙ speed and five-6 C under load; not bad for a cheap little point. A bit loud; not an concern if you retain your CPU beneath your desk, like me. Doesn't very clip in proper in my case (screwless PCI thingie), but operates ok with careful positioning. This fan doesn't exhaust air out of the case, which you can almost certainly inform just by hunting at it. With that in mind, it stills operates pretty properly, and the slim style helped me stick it among two cards in Crossfire where I couldn't fit a regular PCI slot fan. It's loud, yes, but most sane people keep their complete towers below their desks anyways.

Moves a lot of air through the case, and most importantly, it move it up from the bottom of your situation, which is normally cooler, and can really compliment any fans pulling air in from the bottom-front. If you have space for it, use it! It slim, and takes up minimal room. It doesn't have these neat little arrows that most fans do, telling you which way the air will blow. I know, that's not a massive deal... it's meant to blow air from bottom to prime, just so you know. This will compliment any set up nicely, in addition to any cooling you've currently got.

I could put it in my performing surgery on this beauty, but I'm not going to. It lights up blue--luckily nothing else in my old compaq p4 lights up.It sounds stupid to blow warm air over a CPU but it functions and thats all that counts.

It has a slider to adjust fan speed. It can move ALOT of air on high setting. The entire card and fan blades are produced from UV reactive material. Each and every fan has 4 UV LEDs (blacklights) for a total of 8 UV lights on the card. Looks fantastic in a window case, looks even far better if you have a set of UV CCFLs in your situation. I have had one particular for more than two years now and it's nonetheless going powerful. the higher settings can get a bit loud but it is a Dual FAN produced to move air and it does it's job nicely. if you're unhappy with some noise take into account a liquid cooling remedy. For all the characteristics this PCI fan card gives it's a wonderful deal at this price. I have 1 of these in both my systems. I lately built a gaming program for a friend with a side window, UV blue cable sleeving and a set of 12" UV CCFLs and this fan card was a best addition that really necessary no additional modding. The wires for the plug are a silver tone as an alternative of the standard ugly red and black. I did sleeve them anyway as it was straightforward to do. The lights could look purple to some but that's because they are UV LEDs, A.K.A. blacklights. A UV reactive item ought to have UV lights, if it has a light supply, IMO. This fan card is 1 of the few solutions that was totally properly designed. It looks great, final lengthy, is adjustable in fan speed, and most importantly can move air. I've noticed folks complain that the fans "only" blow air in one particular direction. There is a equivalent fan card offered here at Newegg that allows you to rotate the fan. Just do a search for PCI fans.

The heatsink, effortless of installation, and the spaces to install superior 50x10 fans! The fans that come with it will go poor. They will lock up and make lots of noise. I advise just acquiring 2 best excellent 50x10mm, up front, along with this, and swapping out the fans as soon as you get it. When you repair that issue, this thing is golden.I use this in conjunction with a " Silverstone CFP51-B Aluminum five.25" to 3.five" bay converter with 120mm fan" My Tricky Drive loves me now.

This Slot cooler amongst all other people has allowed my Thermaltake Lanbox (Classic with the deal with) to ditch rather a bit of it's excess heat. Despite the fact that it's a Micro ATX construct it's a LAN sleeper so it gets quite hot in it's small confines. It's since of this that adding added fans assists out rather a bit. I added another 60 mm as properly as this cooler and my temps all fell around 13 C apiece, a new CPU cooler killed an additional 5. But in any case the two fans do perform nicely with each other even smooshed in-amongst my Video and Sound Card, the fan can turn 180 degrees as soon as and angle downward as effectively, and for these with room can angle it out the back as properly ࿺ Degrees), both function nicely to cool anything about it, as well as the rest of the case. The Built in Fan Controller also lets you set it comfortably, from Hair Dryer to Fly buzzing on a hilltop 40 miles away. (Silent.) Somewhat pricey, but the cost is properly worth it, this one particular introduction has cooled fown my 9800 GT from running at 75 C all the time to 58 C commonly, And only reaches that temperature although gaming. This is good contemplating I live in a desert. Blue LED matches my case nicely, and Newegg nonetheless has it listed below Red LED. It fits in effectively with other cards, and it's little blue prongs on the bottom fit in a PCI Express as nicely as PCI slot. 4 Pin Molex is a pass-via for much easier cabling. My build:Thermaltake LanboxAsus P5Q-EM Creative XFI Extreme AudioEvga 9800GTAsus Pci-e Physics CardCoolermaster GeminII S Heatsink

Well I personal two 3870s in Crossfire on an MSI K9A2 motherboard(courtesy of Newegg). The original temps for the video cards were around 51 degrees Celsius idle and 75 on load. Properly I stuck this guy on there and my temps dropped from 51 to 35 on idle and 75 to 50 on load. I was undoubtedly surprised when I saw that. I didnt expect that at all. But kudos to this company. I have a case with all blue LEDs in it. The LEDs on this PCI fan are purplish searching compared to the rest of the case.. Minor issue, surely not a con compared to the temp drop. If your temps are running hot on your videocards and you have an extra PCI slot obtainable, get this. It's inexpensive and affective.

This is quite nice excellent stuff, and perfect for blowing air into a stock video cards' impeller. Eight tiny UV LEDs are excellent and not too overpowering. The UV blue frame looks wonderful especially if you have huge UV CCFLs.I'm making use of this subsequent to a new HIS Radeon HD 4760 AGP card in an old Pentium IV 3.four. The video card is wonderful as it's brought back my old P4 machine from a premature recycling, but the HIS cards' cooler (made by arctic cooling) while whisper quiet, lacks any real guts because it uses an impeller. My point is that this Vantec slot cooler is an absolute Ought to for any individual with an HIS Graphics Card.It has a speed manage slide pot in the pci bay cover which provides a smooth, predictable response. The speed control knob is UV blue clear plastic. cool! It's a bit noisy, of course, but it has a speed manage slide pot in the pci bay cover. Otherwise, no cons. I'm operating on disabling the fan nearest the pci cover, it doesn't assist substantially and just adds to the noise. With only 1 of the two fans operating it's quite quiet at something under 10 volts and nevertheless kicks air.The speed control supplied doesn't differ the LEDs brightness at all, just the fans' rpms.Wiring is clear 2-wire, 24 gauge, not color coded, connector is a molex pass-by means of (white).LEDs are mounted from outside in and effortless to mod, all LED wiring is accessible.
