Easy to install and worked flawlessly on Windows XP system. I was surprised at how good the signal strength is. This card is located in a computer in the basement. Wireless router is on the first floor. Signal strength is constantly 96-100%. Glad I bought two of them. Thanks Tiger

Installed one of these in a Dell Dimensioin running XP, the install disk didn't work correctly, so uninstalled the disk and set it up manually using the drivers for xp on the cd. The thing works great, delivers what it says, just like Tiger Direct. I recommend this card to anyone needing inexpensive connectivity to a wifi network.

What a piece of junk!!! It does not work with Windows Vista. Had I read the reviews I would not have purchased this card. I finally got it to connect to my wireless modem but it won't download anything. THe worst part is their tech support takes 3 days to get back with you and then can't solve the problem. I finally went to the computer manufacturer for troubleshooting support. It took them around three minutes to isolate the problem. My Opinion is Tiger Direct should stop selling this product.

Very bad card. Caused my computer to freeze and unfreeze every few minuets. Unpredictable connectivity. Spend a few extra bucks and get a better card.

Trendnet says this is vista compatible but it is not. Forget about talking to support. I waited 20 minutes for support to answer then a guy answered and said someone would call me back 4 hours later.... no call. 6 hours later.... no call. So 7 hours later returning it to tiger direct!

Overall, it works great. The only problem I've noticed is that it seems to have a problem recovering from stand by in XP, but I think that is a bus problem on my PC.

Surprisingly good card. I was worried I went cheap and then I decided to use XP 64 instead of XP for my build. I thought I was dead in the water but, OS picked up the (Realtek) driver no problem (technically, XP64 not supported w/ this card). Connection is much faster and more stable than the the computer it replaced. Very happy with my purchase.

Does not work with Vista Home Basic - spent 3 hours with TrendNet tech support, they could not resolve, in fact they finally told me to contact Microsoft and complain about Vista! Supplied CD won't run the utility, stops midway saying that it only runs on 98, ME, 2000 or XP! Vista drivers appeared to load and function OK, even saw my router signal and my neighbors, but refused to connect with either. Worked fine in XP, but that's of little consequence when you just bought a new pc with Vista installed!

at $20, it is unbeatable value..for that matter unbeatable value period. While installing in XP, plug the card in first and boot the computer. Windows will detect new hardware.....point the hardware wizard to the CD for drivers. Dont have to install the supplied application. Use the windows application in XP. My desktop is 30 feet away from the wireless router and has excellent signal strength at all times and has not dropped signal once. It is lightning fast to aquire network on startup...

This adapter is working on Ubuntu 7.10 using ndiswrapper with Windows 98 drivers from Realtek. It hasn't dropped a connection yet. If you're having problems with connections then try changing the channel on your router (especially in an apartment or townhouse.) Everyone seems to have wireless these days if not something else to generate RF interference.

I purchased one of these card and for the money, it really works well. (On top of that the software furnished with the card is very easy to understand and use. software is very important to have a device do the job that was intended. There are more expense wireless cards out there and they do work faster, but they don't transmit and recieve any better than this card! In fact I like it so well I'm going to order another after this review! suncerely, petite1945@att.net

out of the box on 32 bit works fine for me, out of the box on 64 bit not so much. Went to realteks web site got the 64 bit divers works great. This is an rtl8185 chpset linux kernels puke on it for the most part. Some got it to work on ubuntu 7.06. Realtek offers a linux driver set (has not worked for me yet) Also under 64 bit windows I use windows to manage the card and works great. I get my neighbors signal and my signal.

While this isn't the worst wi-fi card in the world, I did find this one to be very finicky. You have to exercise some prudence with your wiring housekeeping, as having a jumble of cords near the antenna shortens its range. Also, if your PC box is between the antenna and your router, your range is shortened considerably. I also had trouble with the drivers. It seems I had problems with the online updates, and when I reverted to the original driver that came with the card, everything worked just fine. Lastly, I would suggest that if you are going to use a cheaper card, like this one, you will need to trade off more money (quality) to the router. A cheap router and cheap card mean a *very* short working range, so be careful!

This adapter has trouble staying connected for a long period of time. The max time connected I have seen is two and a half hours. The signal quality is terrible and speed is below average.

You get what you pay for with this item...nothing. The signal quality isn't all that bad, when it's working. The problem is, this card is contantly losing connection. Also, when you log into Windows and the software loads, it does a network scan, even though it is already connected to a prefered network (and this takes forever if there are quite a few networks in range). My advice, pay a little more and buy something better.

I'm running WinXP Home with a WPA-PSK network at about 70ft through 3 walls and i still get signal. The instructions say to disable the windows wireless configuration and use trendnets but trendnets utility was aweful crashed everytime I opened it. Otherwise its a great product just use windows to configure it

I am very pleased with this product. I have a MIMO router and it has no problem picking up a signal. I do not have it far away, but it still does great. It was simple to install, and it pretty much configured itself. If you dont need anything fancy, this is a great adapter.

OK card ... had trouble connecting to a WEP network. Seems like the ASCII key field is broken, you need to enter the key in as HEX for WEP encryption to work. Due to the ''ASCII'' bug... you need to use the management tools provided with the card which were ''decent''. Overall a good value - I paid 17.99 for a refurb one.

Agree with the previous review. This is a big POS, a complete waste of money and A LOT OF TIME. Stay away from TrendNET. I have tried three different cards and they all have major problems installing w/XP. Once installed they don't work and good luck uninstalling the SW. Cheap Chinese junk.
