Incredibly Quickly Drives. Running two in raid with no concerns. Gets a score of 5.9 in windows 7. If my board could have accomplished raid five then i would have purchased 3. Purchased this drive about 1 and a half ago. I am continuously downloading and uploading facts for my home organization. I edit movies and store them on this drive. It has been absolute flawless with all the activity I demand of it. I have had Raptor and Seagate wish generally die on me in a year. My last Seagate began squealing soon after 6 months of use. I would recommend Western Digital very. I have bought a second one that was applied and it has worked flawlessly as a backup. None so Far The High Priest of Challenging Drives

Cost, speed for cost Click, click, click. Seven months in and it's noisy and receiving noisier by the day. At least the noise has given me time to prepare for replacement.

Functions fantastic after first RMA. Had to RMA the initial one immediately after a month of two of use. It was surprisingly loud when I initial got it but at the time I had assumed it was the distinction in between my (very old) WD Blue and the Black editions. Second 1 seems more solid.

As soon as I installed Win7 my mother board woke up. I had been using a HD 6 years old, incredibly slow. This new HD brought anything to life with its speed. Really like it. Extremely happy with the purchase. nothing

Was a typical drive install. No troubles of any kind. Immediately after a month, it's quiet and quick. Just what you want from a difficult drive. Was reasonably priced and arrived in one organization day (over the weekend) via common shipping ! None. Just wished I'd ordered it before its predecessor failed....

.... Had nothing but issues attempting to get an OS to install on these drives. Wasted 赀. This is my first WD obtain. I've often had Seagate HDDs. I don't know if I would attempt yet another WD drive.

More quickly load times of Windows and games over prior WD drive.Was recognized rapidly by Bios and Windows.Acronis software program is a dream come accurate for migrating drives (download from WD).Newegg packed the drive wonderfully. Bubble wrapped inside a form fitted box, packed into a paper filled bigger box. UPS would have had to perform actually hard to destroy this 1. Noisier than a 5yr old WD drive that it replaced.This drive has 'The Chitters'. I replaced two 5yr old WD 80GB drives. One was undertaking the spin-down 'CLINK', so I didn't want to threat data loss. The other was to smaller alone for my wants. Both still operating following 5yrs of getting in a computer that was constantly on.

Like always W/D drives are quite difficult to beat. Very quietand is incredibly quick. I generally use w/d and have in no way had a failure. I had to replace 1 drive for a client,they had accomplished one thing to that drive. None W/D drives are a extremely great worth.

Been employing a half dozen of these and my primary hard drives for more than a year, including substantial abuse and relocation in between systems. Have operated drives with substandard cooling. In spite of all this, no failures or data loss have occurred. None noted.

First off I'd like to say that Western Digital is the only HDD I will install in my computers outside of SSD's. With over 10years knowledge in creating personal computers this is my 1st DOA by WD, It was bound to happen some time. I just got bit this time about. DOA ~ű.xx return USP mailing label is crazy costly. USPS is much more affordable via a smaller priority box. I'll revisit this evaluation when I obtain my replacement drive :) but for now I will keep rating at 1 egg.

drives are cheap and fairly quiet. Works wonderful in Raid 10 Config. purchased 4, 1 failed shortly soon after install with immediate Smart warnings and subsequent setdown in about three days ahead of I could get another drive in. Immediately after Newegg makes you pay to return ship RMA (ป) and I paid yet another Ű for ups to come choose it up, it isn't such a wonderful deal anymore.

Quick delivery as usual. Packaging OK but would have preferred peanuts on both top and bottom. There was yet another box inside the shipping box. Replacing an older drive and was painless. The no cost Acronis Accurate Image software program produced the x-fer of information a no-brainer.Drive is incredibly quiet. Uses about twoǙ the power the older drive necessary and is twice as fast. Ran the drive through HD Tune immediately after the install. Was pleased with the higher overall performance and soon after the HD test drive was running 107° F. None so far but have noted the premature death by numerous folks. Time will tell. Have used WD drives for yrs, presently have 3 of them connected to this machine. Have only had to replace 1 of the about half doz I've owned. Will maintain an eye open for potential issues just before wiping the old drive.Actually difficult to complain when drives are this low price but realize the frustration and anger if/when a drive fails but that is what backups are all about. My initial personal computer, the ext floppy was 迀 and that was for something like 800k bytes. Some don't actually appreciate how excellent we have it these days concerning efficiency and expense.

WD drives are the best and WD has a good web web site with good support.Buying a second 1 of these to set up a RAID array. None WD has some nice utilities at their internet website such as a diagnostics tool that will also give you the model and serial# of your WD drive(s)

Incredibly great storage capacity,decently fast and fairly quiet. none I have had this drive in my gaming computer for over a year now its been quite reliable its good to not have to be concerned about it. It is also quiet and has decent space!

Quiet, tons of space for the buck, No configuration required for master HD. 7200 rpm. Black Series seems more dependable than Caviar Blue. No sata cable supplied (for the price not so bad...) Win 7 installed and booted appropriate up.

Reliable. None. I've used these drives as each program drives and storage drives, in and out of RAID. They are excellent drives. My only poor encounter was with 1 I have here to be RMA'd to WD. It began producing errors even though in RAID1 with my other storage drive. Other than that, all terrific experiences. 1500+ 5egg critiques can't be wrong!

Has worked fantastic so far. Improved my WEI relative to my older 250Gb SATA 3Gb drives. They are slightly louder under heavy load, but nothing that I think about to be an issue. None so far.

Looked superior on paper two doas in a row and right after wasting hours of my time newegg kindly refunded my money. Newegg took care of organization.

Cheap, quick, trustworthy, warranty. Windows 7 rates five.four out of 7.9. Not sure why mainly because this drive has 32MB cache and it's quick. I've bought a lot of of these drives for my buyers and no one has complained about 1 going bad following two-3 years of usage. Suggestion: Backup your vital data every day, weekly, or monthly and replicate your information. A RAID array doesn't do you any great if the RAID controller fails which is why you should backup your information or replicate it to one more drive or seperate RAID array.
