Ce disque dur est performent et sa capacité est plus que suffisante pour à peu pret toutes les configuration possibles. Un bon achat à recommander.

Comment: I bought the black because of the 5-year warranty, and no other reason at all went into the purchase decision. I am thoroughly satisfied by the XP system boot time after making the switch from another sata drive.

Pros:Fast, quiet, runs cool, good price, good service from NCIX and 5 year warranty. Comment: I have lm-sensors installed under Ubuntu 9.10 and this drive tends to average ~35C. It's very similar to my Western Digital Blue Caviar 320GB in terms of speed and running temps - only slightly faster and as others have noticed, a bit louder with disk activity. I'd buy another and have recommended them to others as well.

Works well on my NF4 Ultra 939 board. Load times are faster than the old HDD I was using. I would recommend this to anybody looking for a speed increase but doesn't want to spend the money on a SSD.

This hard drive is fast but it is a bit on the loud side. Although it's still pretty quiet, only audible in certain situations. Good Buy. I would buy another one but this time go for the 1TB version.

While it doesn't have terabyte capacity, it is fast as it has 32MB buffer. I put this in a basic system for a friend and was surprised by it's speed. Would definitely recommend to anyone not needing a huge drive. Might be good to get two and run in RAID 0.

Pros:FastFastFast Comment: I own three of these, one by itself in one PC, and the other two in RAID0. They are the fastest drives I've ever had, and are the closest thing to an SSD one can get without actually purchasing an SSD. By no means will these ever come close to the incredible performance of a solid state drive, but they are noticeably faster than most other drives, both in practical situations and when benchmarking. I highly recommend this hard drive.

I wanted something fairly quick as it was going to be my OS drive. With Win 7 around the corner it was really the last component in my PC that needed upgrading. As with my laptop drive upgrade, I used cloning software so I wouldn't have to do a fresh install. That comes when 7 is out. Anyway, right away I noticed how much quicker the drive booted. Any file opening or moving is snappy as well. The drive is quiet and doesn't seem to run hot. I am thinking of picking up a second one of these and setting up a RAID in my PC. Recommended!

No loud vibrations or clicking sounds at all that would lead me to think otherwise. Pros:I received 2 WD 640Gb BE from BC to Ontario within a few days. Excellent packaging. Styrofoam isolated. Air bag cushioned around in a descent box. HD's were sealed in static bags. Installation of Drives was instantly intialized by Windows 7. Administrative Tools/ Computer Management/ Disk Management/ right click/ add new volume/ assign letter and volume name/ DONE! Easy! Flawless Victory! A few hours spent transfering and sorting my data and nothing but cooperation and great speeds from these Black Editions. Comment: After reading about SSD, fastest hard drives around, most dependable drives around. All reviews & searches for the best bang to performance hard drives led me to the WD 640GB BE's.
