This drive is quite quick for a 7200RPM. It's as quickly as my two year old 150GB velociraptor in read/write speeds. I stressed this drive as soon as I got it, and it's been operating sturdy ever due to the fact. Zero. I'm surprised by some of the negative feedback right here. I've been making use of WD for years, and they're the only drives I'll place in my computer systems. I'm still running a 5-year old WD 250GB in this machine and it's still operating like its new. Not one of my WD drives have ever failed. From my own encounter $eagate is garbage.

fairly inexpensive. WD does warranty and I have not had a dilemma sending them back. I bought three of these ... a single doa, a second one particular is failing correct now but WD is sending a replacement... I don't trust the third 1.

1TB, cost, instillation, compatibility. None to speak of. This is the second 1 that I have bought from Newegg, the first was three months ago. I have not had any issues with this drive. It's quiet, runs cool, but then once more I don't use it as a key drive. This one particular will go in a property desktop, and I will give a report in a handful of months again.Windows 7 Ultimate1TB WD Blue, 1TB WD Black, 500GB WD BlackASUS M4A79-DeluxeAMD 940 Phenom

Exceptional drives. Good worth. Ordered two, one particular arrived DOA. Worked intermittently at first, which created diagnosing rather tricky. RMA in progress, NewEgg tends to make this just about as simple as it can be.

It is Western Digital, 32mb buffer, and 1TB and price ๋ bucks when I bought it. What can be better? Formatted size came out to 931GB I believe. Quite nice drive for the price. None.

Reasonably priced. Drive failed following the second day of installation. Frustrated with the fact that I spent many hours installing software package to have the drive fail the following day. I know have to spend shippingand hassle of returning the drive for a replacement.

-1TB of space for ๋.99-7200rpms-32mb cache None so far.....lots of folks giving this bad reviews for dieing and getting DOA Nicely i did Crystal disk mark on this drive 鲤mb test all five) and Read was - 170.1 MB/s & Write was - 125.3 MB/s, Quite nice and a lot quicker than i thought it would be.A different factor, if you have Windows 7 and your drive installs but you don't see it even soon after you restart its due to the fact you need to go to Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Computer system Management / Disk Management and you will uncover it there in a list, you require to assign it a Drive letter and format it for it to be accessible in windows and you know a lot of persons may have had this problem like me.It would show in BIOS but not in windows and what i just mentioned must repair that, so before you guys go i have a DOA drive give that a try initially and don't make the identical error receiving it replaced when there is nothing incorrect. Now i just hope this drive most up-to-date me along time like my OLD WD 250GB presently running in my system and not die in about a few weeks to 1-two years like other reviewers are stating.

Decent price tag when Newegg has it on special, and decent performance. We have received at least a dozen of these drives on the past 6 months that are DOA, or fail shortly after going into service. Completely unacceptable! If in the 1st 30 days Newegg has been fantastic about replacing them. But when we pull 1 off the shelf that is just past 30 days or one particular dies shortly right after going into service, we have to send back a brand new drive to Western Digital on our dime and get it replaced with a re-certified drive. I won't even look at a Western Digital drive anymore. Completely terrible top quality on WD's part.

Good price per megabyte Drive failed right after 1 week of operation In no way had a WD device fail like this. Last week our IT department spent hours configuring and installing a system utilizing this drive, only to have it die this morning. Occurrences like this make it difficult to justify self-built systems, and make me look like an idiot for recommending my organization obtain them. If I can't count on WD, who can I count on? Newegg operates so challenging to supply good service, but when their vendor's items fail and waste a fantastic deal of their consumer's time, it's all for naught. Now I've got an expensive programmer twiddling his thumbs waiting for his method to be rebuilt. It guess it's far better to let D@ll or Len@v@ pay for the burn-in threat.

Never ever had any complications with WD. Last one i had 750GB Black, Had a slight issue and they are replacing it with a WD10EALS at no additional charge. For those judging this drives with the Intelligent test failure, you need to know its a software challenge and the techs are operating to fix it. (not WD) I had a hitachi 1000GB that failed the test, then Dell Replaced it with Seagate 1000GB, also failed the test, but each difficult drives were fine. Intelligent will be receiving a patch soon, thats the most current I heard. None on WD

Quick sufficient if you have on a stand-alone computer system. Mine has been rock solid and cool. I'm fairly happy. A small pricey for what it is. DO NOT use this on a media sever, it is just to slow and and puts out too little info at a single time to maintain up. I.E. I can't watch a movie in the living room and bedroom at the similar time, VLC player crashes simply because of the lack of info. feed. - Fast- Reliable- May want an additional a single soon. - None I don't know what people were talking about when they mentioned it was doomed to fail, did any of you use Killdisk and format it a couple times with Killdisk? I did that, no problems, and that entire "Needle not reaching the arrays." Bull, it's on a rotator bearing, it can reach just fine.

Two Newegg RMA replacements operating perfectly following 1 month. Ordered two, a single DOA, a single FAILED in five days. I figured it was a gamble with the failure rates reported for 1TB and bigger drives. Decided on Western Digital based on reputation. Newegg client service was really accommodating on the telephone.

Good price tag for the quantity of space. The hard drive died inside a week of installation. It would not even spool up when power was applied, I assume some thing was messed up with the power input. Newegg RMA'ed it nice and quickly and I had the other one up inside the subsequent week.
