No problems installing them, and so far they have been working great! I'm not too picky about HDD specs, so I'm going to leave it at that.

Now I have several, and this Blue one is no better nor worse than the Seagate 500GB drives I have. Great for use in low-budget builds or cheap extra HDD storage.

These come better recommended, but I can't tell the difference except these were on sale for $5 cheaper than the equivalent Barracudas. Quick, quiet, and what else can you say?

The warranty is a good 3 years and it seems to keep up to the same high standards that Western Digital has been producing for the last several years and without a fan blowing air past it, it still runs quite cool.

Pros:Cheap to get intoQualityWarranty Comment: Purchased on special for 48.00 for 500gb, whats not to like? This came as the single platter blue, and benched slightly faster than a SGate in the same order. The WD is slightly more audible on an open bench, but you would'nt hear either in a case with a fan. Happy with the value here.

Western Digital does have a long standing, good reputation and is nice to all their customers in RMA'ing of faulty devices - so trust in this product. In the blue series, this is the mass consumer oriented product, which puts it in the middle of green (low power, low speed) and black (high performance). For under $50 shipped, you can't really go wrong.Cheers

Comment: The 3 years warrany proves this product is reliable. It is in fact fast, reliable, automatically detected by any recent BIOS, RAID friendly.. I'd definitely recommend this product to anyone building a budget computer. If you're building a more serious computer, get more than 500 GB, but still, stick with the WD brand.

Il est assez silencieux et sa temperature de fonctionnement est très acceptable (10°C de plus que la température ambiante). Pas le plus rapide mais compte tenu du prix payé c'est une bonne affaire.
