Comment:
The cost is extremely reasonable. My XIGMATEK HDT-S963 arrived in much less than 48 hours. It looks superior and fits perfectly. It is packaged quite effectively and mine arrived without a scratch. The fan is very quiet too. For my installation, it's not too major and not too modest. I use Speccy 1.03.162 to monitor my Computer. Speccy shows that this unit cooled my Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 down from 210°F to a steady 91°F. It has earned 5 eggs from me. I like it! I am very pleased. None. I utilised a XIGMATEK ACK-I5361 Bracket Set and my own Artic Silver Thermal Compound to mount my unit and it all works together incredibly nicely. I could not have produced a greater selection. It took a bit of skill for me to install, but most people today who have a knack for working on computers can mount this puppy.

Fits in a narrower case ࿼mm case fans so not as fat as my other instances) whilst nonetheless allowing the side window to be closed. Cooling an e5200ʃ.6ghz ʁ.34V in a warm closet near my watercooled key rig that blows out alot of warm air out the radiator (ceiling). CPU is idling about 31C, about 43C load. Wonderful bang for the buck, good sound dampening w/ the rubber fan attachments. Fan is a small louder given that it's a 92mm and probably spins quicker. Had to obtain the bolt through kit separately. I believe this is a good heatsink/fan unit for duals and quads, particularly if you don't have a wide adequate case for a Tuniq Tower / Correct / S1283ǚ, and appears to be just as effective. Excellent style, great cost.

-Good performance for its size-Effortless as pie to mount in an AM3 board-Rubber fan mounts perform excellent and did not break like some others have stated (kind of challenging to break these)-Keeps my 955ʃ.7ghz around 43-45ºc under 100% load right after an hour (I anticipate this to drop three-5 far more degrees when the grease sets in)-Cleaned the mounting surface then applied a thin layer of Arctic Silver five-Didn't block anything on my mobo. It cools my AMD AM2+ Phenom II 3. quite properly. I utilized the Arctic silver Ceramique. I am overclocked to a stable 3.35 GHz @ 1.38. At idle I stay a cool 33C and under full load I have never ever surpassed 48GHz, even under Prime95. I was trying to come across a very good fan for my new construct without having breaking my wallet and this fit it perfectly. I took off 1 egg due to the fact when I initially installed the fan on the heatsink, I felt like the fan did not move considerably air. I would randomly spike with my temperatures too, around 55 and 58. So I placed an old Asus 92mm fan that I had laying about onto this heatsink and I was able to obtain 48C stable with no a single spike. It fit perfectly in my mid tower case, it cleared my side fan and all. I do wish you could install it in the opposite way, that way you can use the fan as a director to flow air towards your ram. but saddly you cannot. You either have to select to blow hot air up into your energy supply or blow hot air from the power supply down....but it works. I utilized the fin to direct the air away from the energy supply though, so i guess its excellent for some thing.

Incredibly straightforward to install on a 7750 Kuma proc. Overcloked to 3. ghz and actually reduced the voltage by .two volts. Must have purchased 2 at this price My temps went down approximately 8c even following I oc'ed my proc to 3.0ghz. Now operating idle at 34c and loaded at 44c. That compares to previous temp of 42c to 54c.

Keeps processor cool, quiet and helps move air off the video card to a slight degree. On a Asus M2N SLI Deluxe motherboard, it does not interfere with anything, not the memory, no capacitors to be concerned about, just any effortless install. Only actual catch is you have to make sure the base is centered with the cpu's center. It hasn't any way of centering itself during install, so maintain an eye on that, otherwise this is not a bad buy. Simple install, quiet, keeps factors cool, ugg, those aren't cons, what was I thinking! (newegg forces a con) Tech Expertise: Average understanding: a person out there has some tech expertise, I accept that, (grin).

The only pro that I actually got to knowledge was the sound of the fan, or lack thereof even though mounted to the heatsink with the rubber pieces. Amongst the other fans in my case this factor was inaudible at full speed. That's not to say my case is silent, but it definitely doesn't sound abrasive. The poor news below, it will describe why I'm attempting to get a refund, I need to have a better solution. I spent more than 6 hours into the night attempting to mount this heatsink to my Asus P6t SE with the Xigmatek 775񳅆 Crossbow kit for extra stability with HORRIBLE outcomes. The screw holes on the two pieces from the crossbow kit DID NOT match up with the holes on the heatsink. Now I didn't essentially have this figured out at initially, initially I thought that the bent metal protruding from about the screw hole area on the crossbow kit pieces had been preventing the holes from matching up. Given that I had high hopes, I tried bending the metal to give the pieces more room, but I ended up breaking the pieces off... Can't return the crossbow kit immediately after that but it did enable me to try mounting the pieces according to the PUSH PIN EXAMPLE THAT CAME WITH THE HDT-S963, with horrible outcomes of course. The crossbow kit example shows the pieces being mounted on the opposite side that the HDT-S963 example shows and it wouldn't function that way mainly because the screw holes appeared to be drilled too close to the... ...outer edge of the two pieces which produced the region closest to the CPU on the crossbow kit touch against the side of the bottom component on the HDT-S963; The holes didn't match up because it was just physically impossible for them to in the example shown with the crossbow kit. Following that total fail I tried the push pins that came with the HDT-S963 and lined them up with the LGA775 holes on my Asus P6t SE but they wouldn't clip in. The directions do not clarify this component at all, it asks you to "Push them in diagonally." What worked for me was pushing them down as far as probable, then twisting the leading until I felt it lock into location, but what the heck is locking into place anyway? If I push the heatsink quite lightly with my finger it will pop appropriate back up so as soon as it's "locked" in I have to just leave it alone, it will NOT securely mount to my mobo. As soon as everything WAS in place I turned my comp on and my bios showed my cpu went up to 84c. Did I just get some poorly crafted versions?

I replaced the stock cooler on my overclocked Intel E5200 CPU and it now runs 10 degrees Centigrade (almost 20 degrees Fahrenheit) cooler at idle than it did prior to ࿈ degrees C vs 50+ degrees). The results under load are equally impressive. the stock speed of the CPU is two.five GHz and I've have it running stably @ 3.2GHz with both coolers.Installation was quick and effortless. I was initially concerned that it wouldn't stay securely mounted on the CPU working with the Intel pin mechanism, but it's held tight without having any problems whatsoever. I suppose the light weight of the cooler genuinely assists with that. None, truly. It's light in weight in spite of its size and I had no complications installing it the way I wanted. The only actual con could be if I installed it on a PC with an AMD CPU, then the cooling fan would be positioned to blow air upward inside the case (toward the energy supply) instead of out the back. I haven't tried increasing the CPU speed any farther with this fan yet, largely because I'm very satisfied with the 30% overclock I now have. The technique is rock solid stable, so I've got nothing to complain about.

Installed on i7 Intel 920, overclocked to three.8GHz, with no heat concerns. I had installed the larger version of this cooler, but it was too tall to fit in the case, this was a good compromise. Possibly not as terrific of cooling as the 120mm version, but works fantastic for this application Be confident to get the ACK-I7363 bracket if you want to install on an i7 (or if you hate the plastic clips it comes with normal.)

This thing knows how to cool a CPU, I can't get my computer above 30C even when I run it at 96% operations. Their instruction manual was poorly organized so be prepared to flip the page back and forth in confusion. Its also Big, in tight spaces your going to have to have modest fingers and a lot of dextarity.overall you really should just prepare for some "why would you do this?" moments. If this fan could have a greater range of fan speeds there is no doubt you could overclock your CPU to double its speed.

This cpu cooler provides good bang for the buck! Fan is fairly huge and the heat sink has lots of surface area. Effortless to install and it's not too heavy. I don't like heat sinks that are too heavy. Keeps my cpu cool. It never ever gets too hot with heavy gaming. Assists that I have an AeroCool ExtremEngine 3T case too. Only con I can think of is that it may well interfere with other components in your case if it' smaller.

Incredibly quiet, I've even maxed the fan due to the fact it's so quiet! Took my OC Athlon II X4 from high 50's for the duration of Prime 95 to low to mid 40's! Can't mount the fan to blow front to back. Wonderful heatsink for the price. I was thinking about going with an H50, but I just wanted my temps to go down to additional reasonable levels, and this has exceeded my goals without having spending as a lot funds.

low cost, "low" profile, little, light and a excellent performer. keeps my q6600 oc'd @ two.8ghz at 40*c࿒*c with small FFTs) maxed out on prime 95 (its a b1stepper) and pretty substantially room temp at idle ྷ*c). (for the cost these aren't bad cons) terrible base, they could have molded the aluminum heat-sink base superior to the heat pipes, even so it works properly because the cpu's IHS already spreads the heat to the pipes. Its kinda tall for a 92mm cooler, also, I HATE PUSHPINS! lap it! its base surface is terrible, also tape around the 92mm fan and heat-sink fins to aid pressurize/direct the flow or else loads will escape uselessly out the sides, even think about one on the back, as it comes with additional rubber fan bolts. these items are worth considering anyway.

This cpu cooler has much better results than expected by a long shot, and with ASilver5 my stock cooler temps idle 48c to 51c dropped 1st day to 34c to 36c and following three days or so, idle temps are now at Coreş- 8c to 10c idle and CoreŠ- 10c to 12c idle and mid 20's mid to threeǚ load. Amazing PERFORMANCE!!! no cons at all, just make sure you have Best Quality thermal paste, and properly attaching the cpu cooler and o/c galore.

They function The rubber mounting items for the fans are fragile. Either that or the holes in the fan frame are too small... Take your choose. Each HSF consists of 5 of them. 2 HSFs = 10. Seven broke. They should package about 8 per HSF.I emailed xigmatek to request a lot more. But, this is just plain poor design.
