ZALMAN CNPS9500 AT 2 Ball CPU Cooling Fan/Heatsink
Cons:need to access the back of the motherboard to install the mounting bracket

Pros:Quiet, efficient, typical great Zalman quality product.
Comment:
I installed this in my Silverstone Lascala HTPC case hoping for a quiet and cool system. This Zalman HSF did not disappoint. Very quiet (good for home theatre environments) and not too bad a price considering the thing will probably last forever.

ZALMAN CNPS9500 AT 2 Ball CPU Cooling Fan/Heatsink
Cons:Hard to install.

Pros:Quiet and cool.
Comment:
To install this fan, you need to remove the whole motherboard. There's a back plate that needs to be screwed in to the back of the mobo. The actual heatsink is also not fixed on the mobo. You can actually move it slightly while it's screwed in. But other than that, I would recommend to anyone. It does it's job and has many good reviews from the internet.

Cons:doesnt cool as well as other coolers

Pros:very nice looking
Comment:
i put it on a pentium 4 3.6ghz, it cools it efficiently and silently now that the 9700 is out the 9500 is outclasses but overall a good cooler. very silent and barely audible on low speed

ZALMAN CNPS9500 AT 2 Ball CPU Cooling Fan/Heatsink
Cons:InstallationPrice

Pros:CoolingQuiet
Comment:
I have to admit the installation was a hassle, since I had to completely remove the motherboard from the case. Although, it's definitely not moving afterward. It keeps my E2180 OCed h 3.0ghz at ~30-33 degrees on idle and at around ~50-55 under loads. It's also very quiet, even under loads. I'm fairly satisfied, even though it's quite expensive. The AC Freezer 7 costs a lot less and would most likely archive similar results. Is the 40$ more worth it? I doubt it. But hey, it's still an amazing cooler.

ZALMAN CNPS9500 AT 2 Ball CPU Cooling Fan/Heatsink
Cons:I would say pricey but that sure is a lot of copper.

Pros:Not overly heavy, cools very well, copper, quiet
Comment:
Fit easily into my EVGA 650i Ultra mobo despite it's tall north bridge heatsink. Hard facts: Compared to E6600 retail and boxed heat sink: dropped my low load CPU core temps by 10C, dropped my 100 percent core load temps by 7C. The amount of time it takes to cool when the CPU eases up is amazing. I turn off CPU burn in and within 2 seconds my temps have slammed back down to idle temps. The old retail fan didn't even come close to that!!I cannot hear it, even full blast, over the other fans in my case, but I do have a lot of fans.

ZALMAN CNPS9500 AT 2 Ball CPU Cooling Fan/Heatsink
Cons:little bit too expensive

Pros:quiet, light weight compared to other heavyweights, easy to install
Comment:
This fan is just great. at 1400rpm (some times 0rpm as measured by speedfan), it keeps my prescott 3.2Gz HT at 37-40C at idle and never more than 50C at 100% load. this is compared to 48-50C idle and around 70C load with the stock cooler at 2300-3800rpm!! Now all i can hear is my case fans/gpu fan~ for 70 bucks after tax, it's not that cheap but it's totally worth it.

ZALMAN CNPS9500 AT 2 Ball CPU Cooling Fan/Heatsink
Cons:-a bit pricey

Pros:-Quiet (at 1700rpm)-Fairly easy to install-Looks great in a see-through case
Comment:
This is coupled to a E6400 that is running at 3.2ghz, temperatures (as run by speedfan) are cpu=32, and cores 1&2 = 47 degrees. Very nice o/c and extremely silent. You can find better after-market coolers but for the price and quality and ease of installation this is great.

ZALMAN CNPS9500 AT 2 Ball CPU Cooling Fan/Heatsink
Cons:-Black fan blades are not the best looking-Cooling is overrated

Pros:-Much Quieter/Efficient than stock Intel-Can be controlled through motherboard since it is PWM spec
Comment:
I bought this to replace my Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro 7 which replaced my Stock Intel heatsink. I expected much more from this heatsink, but with that said, I am not totally dissappointed.44 idle, 3.2ghz e6400 c 1.35V in a P180 case...It's not much better (cooling wise) than the AC Freezer Pro, which costs less than half the price of this. The sound portion though is much better and more acceptable compared to the AC and Intel heatsink. I run it at 1600rpm so it is very quiet.

ZALMAN CNPS9500 AT 2 Ball CPU Cooling Fan/Heatsink
Cons:Backplate can be an issue for some motherboards. Mounting mechanism can allow the HSF to twist, which can raise temperatures when using Arctic Silver 5 after its break-in period.

Pros:Very quiet. Excellent build quality. Very high cooling capability.
Comment:
This fan is very quiet, even at higher RPM's. The overall build quality is just what you would expect from a high end company like Zalman. This cooler at 30% fan speed allowed my E6700 to hit 3.6GHz at 1.42vcore, something typically limited to water coolers. I would recommend this cooler to anyone that wants a quiet computer without sacrificing performance. My 6700 is running at 40°c idle and 55°C load with an ambient room temp of 25°C and a case temp of 33°C This review was modfied by poster @ 03-03-07 01:39 PM

Cons:OK cooling performance - Slightly better than stockAnnoying to installAfter mounting, it feels quite looseVery weak fanPrice

Pros:Very silentNot very heavyMade of CopperSilentAble to change direction
Comment:
I hate to say it, but Zalman did a bad job on this product. I expected a LOT more from stuff made by Zalman, but by far, this is the worst product I've had from them. It's quite expensive and doesn't do a good job of cooling ure CPU. My C2D E6600 is currently clocked at 3.33GHz x 1.45v and the temps are bad - 41*C idle 60-70*C Load. Whats funnier is, my computer is in the garage where its freezing cold (5*C or so, im in calgary) Oh and i also used AS5My case is a Thermal Take VA8000WBS so airflow isn't the problem.Install the bracket at the back of my board is a pain. (Asus P5W DH). I had to literally stretch the bracket so i can get it to fit.I wouldn't recommend this to anyone looking for a good performing cooler. But I do recommend it for silence. Not worth the price IMO. Get the Tuniq or TT Big Typhoon. My Opinion:Cooling Performance - 2/5Silence - 5/5Weight - 4/5Ease of installation - 2/5 This review was modfied by poster @ 02-11-07 04:20 AM

Cons:-Price

Pros:-Copper-Quiet v 9 volts-Light for the size-Secure Install
Comment:
This cooler will allow you to get good cooling v low fan speeds due to the size. Extra heat is also sent towards the rear or top case fan depending on how you place the cooler(it can go all 4 ways)

ZALMAN CNPS9500 AT 2 Ball CPU Cooling Fan/Heatsink
Cons:Backplate doesn't align well with motherboard.

Pros:Well build, quiet and looks good.
Comment:
Drop temperature of C2D 6600 on ASUS P5W DH Deluxe in Antec P180 by 5°C when compare to stock heatsink fan. The plastic backplate doesn't align well with the motherboard. The trick is to loosly attach the clip support and the backplate to the motherboard with the clip support bolts and then gently tighten the bolts one by one. ZALMAN CNPS9500 AT 2 Ball CPU Cooling Fan/Heatsink
Cons:not too quiet without reducing speed

Pros:easy to install
Comment:
I have this on a Core Duo 6400 in an Antec P180 case. While it's reasonably quiet, it's easily the loudest thing in the system. The top vent on the P180 does not help either, as there is a direct path from the CPU cooler to my ears. Running the fan at 835 rpm does help the noise significantly, but the quality of the noise is still somewhat annoying.

Cons: no leds, at max speed you can hear it but you will never need max speed anyway.

Pros: Pmw control, light, quiet.
Comment:
This cooler was easy to install, since I bought it with my system (no need for me to remove my mobo from the case). It keeps my oc'ed 3.0 e6300 at a nice 35c idle out of the box with its silent pwn control.

Man I love this cooler. It's quite but very powerful. But please be careful during the installation. The fins are so sharp and I got 2 cuts on my hands. Also wish they had adaptor for other sockets.

Cons:Huge

Pros:quiet, cool
Comment:
This is my second Zalman HSF, and this one is quieter and keeps my over clocked core2duo 6600 f 300 mh at a very respectable 35 degrees and is very very quiet. I have to open up my case and touch the fan to make sure it is still spinning, it is that quiet.

Cons:Large, might be tough to installExpensive

Pros:Quiet coolingStrong performance
Comment:
Purchased this for a new C2D 6400, it is definitly performing like a champ. It is not quite as strong as the 7700 from what Ive heard, but its quiet and has a smaller footprint than other Zalman coolers. This cooler is very quiet and has done well in keeping my fairly overclocked (~50%) processor in check. Id like to see it a little cheaper, but its still a solid buy.

ZALMAN CNPS9500 AT 2 Ball CPU Cooling Fan/Heatsink
Cons:May not fit in some cases due to it's fair size.

Pros:Great cooling capacity, comes with everything you need for installation, quiet operation, well made.
Comment:
This is an excellent cooler in nearly every aspect. Installation requires removal of the motherboard, but once installed, it fits perfectly. I have been able to lower the temperature by nearly 20 degrees after having problems with other coolers. It's design enables mounting on any kind of processor regardless how thick it is, which is not always the case with other coolers. It operates with minimal noise level, which cannot be heard when the case is closed. Please check the room in your case (consult Zalman's website), because it requires a fair bit of space to fit. Again, a great cooling system.
