Intel has no answer for this Quad Core in this price range. This processor is fast and well worth the money if you are on a budget. The only drawback is the lack of L3 cache, but if you aren't a heavy gamer, then this shouldn't affect you.

This is a great CPU for its price. I bought it for my own system as it was time for an upgrade but I did not need anything over the top. So far, it has performed wonderfully and I could not have expected any better.

Incredible chip for the money. I refuse to buy intel and I may pick up another of these for my second tower.Using this on a Gigabyte GA-MA785GMT-UD2H board with OCZ ram.AMD all the way.Nice to have the stock cooler for those that don't want to do anything crazy with it.

I bought this cpu as a combo with a ASUS M4A785-M AMD 785G Socket AM3 Motherboard. It working fantastic with no problems yet.

not the fastest processor... but fastest for the pricetag. Only way you'd get anymore performance is by spending more money. On a budget, this CPU is a winner.

Paired this processor w/ a Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P mobo. So far, am LOVING it. I have easily been able to overclock this beast to ~3.5GHz with a load temp below 40C, making this rival the Phenom II 9xx series for 1/2 the price. No luck with unlocking the L3 cache but most people probably wont notice much of a difference anyways. Would definitely recommend buying this processor for those on a budget or those looking to milk as much performance as possible off a budget processor.

I got no negatives to say about this processor. For the money you get quite the bang for your buck. I am running Vista and this baby is a solid performer. I recommend this to anyone looking for building a great computer for a small amount of dough.

I bought this for $109 and have been throughly impressed. Using Foobar (multithreaded), I encoded a 74 minute CD using Lame 3.98 VBR in 35 seconds using all 4 cores. Great benchmark scores in Passmark considering the price, and I was able to easily overclock it by running the FSB at 211 Mhz, not requiring any additional voltage, stock cooler, and rock solid.

I replaced my same brand 6000 plus processor with this processor. I'm no gamer..I master video and audio and need solid horsepower. On my old processor, Sony Vegas would take about 5 seconds to open. With the new one it takes about 1 second. Great processor sat an amazing price.

I bought this w/ the Asus M4A785-M motherboard as a combo. I'm upgrading from a Phenom 9600 on another Asus board. I can notice the difference for cpu intensive tasks like zipping/unzipping files. Runs about ~30c light load (web, word processing) on the stock hsf (controlled by motherboard) in an Antec P180 mini case, case fans x low speed setting.5 Stars for value.

I don't game so I can't tell you about that. I built this system for a small business. It works great and is fast. I installed with windows 7 and it is very responsive and fast. No overheating problems. Very satisfied.

I can say programs whip with this but, getting configured for faster downloads etc. is another issue. I've yet to over clock it.

I got just what I expected with this chip. I have it on a cheap Asus mobo and it runs fine - cooler than what I thought it would run with the chincy stock HSF. Great for a budget build when on sale.

I have always been an AMD man but this chip and the new Phenon II 4 core are the coolest running chips that I believe I have ever seen. Great deal. Do it, If you can't get the Phenon II 4 core, get this one.
