Runs cool 30-40 degrees with the stock fan and no specialty added cooling in the caseIncredibly Quiet fanIt's a-lot less expensive than intel! Haven't found any so far! So far it is running wonderful! I was capable to unlock it to a quad core on my ASUS MB. I was capable to auto-tune it to about three.6 GHz, I suspect I can squeeze far more out of it. Pleased so far, I would suggest this over a quad-core any day.

Quickly, economical, place it in my AM3 Socket motherboard and surprisingly, everything just worked. Extremely advise this for a new develop or upgrade. None. I havent tried unlocking the two further cores simply because im employing the stock CPU cooler. From what ive study although, with the proper mobo its super simple and effortless. Its very easily place back to x2 cores if you want as properly. The x4 Core Is 124w so make sure your mobo can handle it. Its not really hard to uncover a great mobo here on newegg that performs nicely with this CPU. Wonderful, Fantastic CPU. Cant go wrong.

If you are on a spending budget, this is a great CPU. If you get a excellent motherboard that can unlock cores you have the possible of unlocking it to 4 core processor!!! With my ASUS M4A88T-M motherboard it auto detected the 2 added cores and safely unlocked them. Been operating smooth with not 1 hiccup for about 7 months now. Even if you arnt in a position to unlock any cores you can O.C this cpu and get the max out of it. You wont be dissapointed. I have this CPU O.C to about 3.6GHz. Even beneath heavy load it often stays beneath 40c. Not 6 cores? But if you dont will need 6 cores get this! My budget build - asus m4a88t-mamd phenom II BE 555 - 4 cores unlocked safely thanks to this board.Wintec ampx 4gb ddr3 - thermaltake 600w power provideWestern Digital caviar black 1TBCorsair Hydro H50

Overclocked to four.2GHz safely initial day. Had achieved a four.5GHz with Hyper 212+ CPU cooler, but felt wary and lowered back to 4.2GHz.This is my initial time overclocking so was not expecting to realize these final results so easily, but it worked like a charm. Was not in a position to unlock 3rd or 4th core, would restart during Windows Startup :( WEI rated it lower than my Intel Core 2 Duo E5200 2.5GHz..The old CPU was a 6.9 stock, this one scored a six.six stock. But regardless it operates more quickly, jumped the FPS in my decision benchmark from 44.6 to 78.7.. So I feel as usual just don't trust WEI.

Price tag. Unlocked to three cores, no go on the 4th. Nevertheless a good deal. three cores running stable at 3.6GHz. Quad core would have been good, but a triple core for an daily workstation is a lot more than enough processing energy. Overclocks significantly superior as a dual core Ɣ.0GHz+), but the third core is worth the sacrifice in my opinion.

This is an overall fast processor. I overclocked it to three.6GHz effectively and there is a visible distinction in speed when loading files and games. If you don't have the correct fan method it can overheat, so just be conscious of that. Actually boosted the performance of my OS for small cash. It is a good deal.

3.two GHz Dual Core processor (Black Edition) w/unlocked multiplier for ๪ is an exceptional price tag/performance CPU which comes with a probability of unlocking extra stable cores. Replaced stock cooler with a Zalman 135mm cpu cooler just before OC'ing and attempting to unlock cores. On my GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H motherboard entered bios during startup by hitting the "delete" crucial. In the bios entered MB Intelligent Tweaker (MIT) -> Advanced Clock Calibration -> Modified EC Firmware Selection to (Hybrid), ACC to (All Cores), then F10 to save and...Good results! All four cores unlocked. :)Then 12 hours of Prime 95 to examine stability and all 4 cores stable. Adjusted multiplier to x19 with no boost in voltage and immediately OC'd to a conservative and stable three.8GHz. Would quickly OC to 4.+ with much more tweaking but it's my kids personal computer and that was the comfort zone for me.24 hours of Prime 95...Every little thing stable and running fine for me. Now recognized as a Phenom II x4 B55 processor with 6MB L Not a con but...recall when evaluating this processor acquire it on its merits and rate it accordingly please. This is getting sold as a 3.2 GHz DUAL Core processor (Black Edition) which gives you the unlocked multiplier. That alone makes this processor a excellent worth for the value. Even even though this processor has a excellent results rate for the capability to unlock added STABLE cores that need to just be regarded as a bonus and not expected. Also, if you want the ability to unlock additional cores make positive that your motherboard has the ACC (Advanced Clock Calibration) function. Just my thoughts. Have a wonderful day! Capable to unlock a 3rd core, seems to be running rather stable at stock clock speed. Was unstable after unlocking 2 extra cores, able to load windows, however odd pixel distortion and image ghosting occurred. General, fairly content with buy. Was hoping for the 4th core, but three core is nonetheless fairly fantastic for the price tag. Got this for a HTPC with the require to encode movies, and function as a household server. Total disclaimer up front: THIS IS A TWO CORE, three.2GHz CPU! Ok, with that out of the way, unlocks ridiculously quickly to four cores. More than clocks on stock HSF and air cooling to 3.6GHz with in essence zero work. I'm sure it could go increased, but I just poked that multiplier into my BIOS and it booted and has run stable so I haven't bothered to mess with it any further. Hmm.. cons... ok. Uhm. Nope, I got nothin'. Uh... perhaps AMD is nevertheless utilizing pins and not BGA so socketing the CPU is a tiny bit trickier 'cause you want to be certain not to bend a pin? I know. I'm stretching for that one particular. Other than a charitable donation, I'm not confident ๪ could be far better spent. This CPU simply ROCKS. Bought with an ASUS M4A79XTD EVO AM3 AMD 790X ATX AMD Motherboard and G.Skill Ripjaws Series 8GB ƒ x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL. Whole bundle booted right up the initial attempt. Also have an ATI 4870 video card, a couple of SATA HDDs and it is all powered by OCZ Fatal1ty OCZ550FTY 550W PSU.

Unlocked two added cores and they are fully OC stable, booted into windows fine, but temp sensing is offline and you will require to use your mobo's temp sensor that came on its disc to monitor temps. Also when you unlock to a 955 (B55) dont OC unless you have a great HSF, the stock 555 HSF isnt great enough to OC at all. 90$ for a quad care..............cons lol got it a couple of hours ago and havent even installed any games on my fresh set up of win7 X64 Ult.ASUS M4A89GTD-EVO USB three.AMD PII X4 B55BE4gb Gskill ripjaws (blue)Antec 300XFX XXX edition 650w PSUASUS HD5850 DCU MajorCM 212+ P/PSprintpoint F3 1TB

Fresh construct, all new components. Knew it was going to get pushed, so utilised a stock 1090t AMD cooler as an alternative of the small a single it comes with. 1st fire-up went straight to 10% oc and proceeded to install OS. Twenty minutes later, Win 7 64 bit installed and unlocked the other two cores and cranked it up to three.65gHz. I know it doesn't always happen, but I got a great one particular. none Getting two more over subsequent week or so, a single for a friend, and yet another for a devoted Ubuntu mastering box, how can you go incorrect, is a great chip as is, and prospective for unlock and overclock with suitable cooling are great.

Been Intel type for a lengthy time, but this one particular altered my thoughts. It works fantastic have not tried to overclock as I see no purpose to.I am sure Intel nonetheless shines in some apps, but for the daily user save a few dollars on both CPU and Mboard as this will do every little thing you need to have.Just remember the core unlock is like the lottery,so don't complain if you only get two or 3 out of it.

* Very good value* Runs like a champ at stock speeds* Unlocked to four cores 1st try - Stock fan/heatsink a bit weak. Purchased aftermarket from the commence.- Didn't offer you to make coffee or get doughnuts the morning after AMD requires some thing new to counter Intel, but for the cash and a common desktop create these chips are additional than enough and are the cornerstone of a inexpensive develop.

Low power consumption, no issues, low cost. The cooler is a dinky sink, only rated 6.six on the peter meter. If I had identified how little the heatsink was, I may possibly have gotten a 4 core with no fan, for the similar cost. When I saw that others had been not exagerating, I ran out to get something much better correct off. I do like the lower power consumption though. It does operate incredibly well for me.

Unlocked all four cores! None so far. Read in some other forums that you need to run "msconfig" and set you processing cores to 4. Not sure if this does something but from what I can tell it is supposed to let window to a lot more effectively run with four cores. To do this; run "msconfig" Go to the Boot tab and select "advanced selections" then check the " number of processors" box and pick the number of cores you have. Like I mentioned previously, Not positive exactly what "msconfig" does but it doesn't appear to be negatively affecting my machine.

Functions beautifully. Was capable to unlock all of the cores without having any challenge and overclocks with stock cooler to three.4GHz!!! Why is this field necessary??? Need to every thing have one thing incorrect with it. Confident this processor doesn't run at 300GHz and price only five cents but its still wonderful for AD2011.

Extremely fast.Extremely low cost.Incredibly extraordinary. None. Know that not all chips are productive, but unlocked two added cores with ease and have been in a position to throw every little thing from Blu-Ray at full 1080p with virtual machines operating in the background and sharing media more than the wire all at the same time. Yes I am biased to AMD. I have been getting AMD processors for over 15 years and will continue to do so from now on. Just tends to make economical sense.
