Unlocked the CPU and got all four cores running and overclocked to three.53 GHz, Amazing efficiency for ๪! included heatsink is pretty substantially junk, it will operate when operating it stock but if you want to overclock you Will need to upgrade. Excellent CPU when paired with a nice heatsink, such as the ฤ heatsink i managed to get the performance I would get for twice the price tag...awesome. Recall that unlocking the CPU doesn't constantly work as a lot of these CPUs are dual core mainly because the two other cores didn't operate appropriately, but mine worked perfectly. Sort of a gamble but the chances are high that it will be a excellent one particular. I ran it in dual core for the very first month I had it and it was still pretty solid performance for the price tag, but if you can get the quad cores it's wonderful.

Unlocked to quad core four.1GHz Didn't unlock as I expected it to.. Kinda gave up but got lucky. Enabling core unlocker at all brought on my program to fail..I enabled these coresɅ,3,4,five...My mobo enables up to 6 cores... And apparently the "Core 2" didn't exist.

Unlocked All 4 Cores with no difficulty. This feel can OC up to about 3.8-four.0ghz but you're gonna need some very good cooling. If left at stock settings this factor runs really cool in my MoBO.Didn't notice any actual raise in temps with four cores unlocked.Existing Build:Thermaltake V3 Mid Tower500W Antec PSUMSI 870-G45 Mobo ATXAMD Phenom II 555( Phenom II x4 B55 Unlocked)Uncomplicated OC'ed to three.84 Ghz StableCooler master TX-three Cooler/HeatsinkCorsair Vengeance 1600mhz 2x4gb sticksGeforce GTS 450 1gb500gb HDD 𞺺$ and I can play whatever game I want though running facebook, listening to music, etc. It doesn't do my schoolwork for me. Straightforward to install, unlocked two more cores just by clicking a button in the motherboard utility and rebooting! so an x4 for the very same price tag as an x2, but 3.2ghz instead of the similar model x4's only three.. None haven't overclocked but, nevertheless getting all my computer software reinstalled.

Paired this with ASRock 880GM-LE AM3 micro ATX motherboard. Boot screen offered to run ACC. 1 click. This proc opened up to 4 cores and a slight overclock. Fantastic worth. Purchased it figuring out I might have to remain with 2 or three cores but got four cores! Operating over a month with no overheating, etc. on stock AMD cooler. NoneGot with a deal that included HIS lo profile video card that required a case hack to fit into a low profile case... using that on a different job. Asking yourself how a great deal the wattage went up with use of all 4 cores...

Unlocked all four. Could OC but don't need to have to. Runs cool for me with stock fan and sink. Intel genuinely is just far better, have a dual core 2.8 that runs nearly the very same, save for rendering. Obtain it, or not. You could prob get a 6 core for about 30 bucks far more now.

Incredibly quick, ideal bang for buck Stock cooler is trash, but that's to be expected. Get an aftermarket cooler, they're like 30 to 50 bucks for a good excellent one. Not worth taking off an egg. It won't overheat unless you unlock/overclock it too much with the stock cooler Overclocks to 3.9 stable with STOCK cooler idling at around 40 degrees. Going to be testing out 4.2 with aftermarket cooler as soon as i invest in it tonight.

I have purchased this CPU in the past, for another computer. This is now my second one. It runs amazingly great. For the insane low price that it sells for, this CPU is well worth the money. I could have dropped $2000 into a computer 4-5 years ago and it still wouldn't have been as fast as a computer with this CPU and some other mid-tier parts.

unlocked to x4, kinda stable. works great at stock though. nice box.new stickergood to have the alternative to upgrade without finding arctic silver all more than the place or touching a screwdriver. not actually stable at x4, but that's why its a 555 not a 955. of course, if you have the $, i would def. go for the 970 or some thing about there, so you don't have to Oc it, even though a trained chimp can get this to 3.four stable I kinda with i had went with a genuine quad, but i was actually limited on funds. Moving from a socket939 athlon64 4000+, i am extremely pleased. my old mobo was broke and i had bought the only replacement that i could find, which was produced of FAIL, and a waste of $ and couldnt even function with a HD4350 in the pcix slot. so, now i have a dual-core, effortlessly 1ghz faster, per core, if i OC'd,(was at 2.4ghzz single core all these years) can easily go three core stable, four cores, not so stable, of course i would like an aftermarket cooler prior to i genuinely get into that. I know just the place to buy it, where i haven't been ripped off on the last 10 consecutive purchases..

Just an awesome processor for the price. Low cost heatsink. Utilized it anyway (with some arctic silver). Stuck this baby on a new biostar a880g+. Was thinking about an athlon, but decided on this one for 25 bucks additional. Glad I did.

Awesome, wonderful cost, wonderful speed and has L3 cache. Used on my incredibly very first develop, teamed with the biostar a880g+ mobo. Unlocked the added cores and over clocks like a dream. perhaps the stock fan/hs? The fan concern isnt that massive of a deal. Before unlocking the added cores and overclocking, it kept it operating commonly at 32c all the time. Right after installing a huge fancy hs/fan it runs 36c-40c overclocked.

The Cost. For 90$ you can't beet this price.Easily unlocked the other 2 cores.Excellent for overclocking It's not the x6 Wow what can I say. I unlocked the other 2 cores and now I clocked this factor at 4.012 running quite stable for practically 24hours now in Prime95. You truly do will need a after industry cooler to push this factor past the three.4 range. Don't waste your income unless you are going to get the x6. I might have been lucky but this processor has handled every little thing I have thrown at it thus far. Pros:unlockable cores, unlocked multiplier, fun for tweakers

I bought this to test a motherboard and to mess around with core unlocking. Mine unlocked, but one of the cores needed extra voltage to get stable. YMMV.Pretty fun chip for any tweakers looking for a challenge.

Just got this from the Egg and am running this on a Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H mobo w\ stock voltage and 8 Gigs of ECO 1333 Mhz Gskill mem. Regrettably am nonetheless running XP to get some of my old files to CD's... Even although the motherboard had no problem unlocking the other two cores, XP is refusing to boot w\ four cores. Got a GA-ma790x-ud4p w\ XP that runs four cores with no difficulties... go figure. BTW, just for the heck of it, bumped up the multiplier to 18 and am obtaining 3.4 Ghz on stock every little thing... could simply do much more, but WHY... handles all I've got w\o breaking a sweat. A Genuinely SOLID CPU FOR A Incredibly MODEST Cost... PERIOD Not genuinely a 'con' but I found that disabling the mobo CPU fan control and letting the AMD cool and quiet take over, it runs 5-8 C cooler (from 41c at idle w stock cooler to 35-37 w Cool and Quiet) For severe use though, get a great aftermarket cooler, you could get some critical performance gains for a low budget construct, and often have it for an upgrade later ;>). Rapidly, can be overclocked, great cost/performance ratio. What else can you say? I unlocked two extra cores (via hyper threading), and it was noce and stable until I tried some heavy work. Then the laptop or computer just kept crashing I had to go into BIOS and shut it off. So I recommend just leaving as is, it's plenty effective.
