I bought this processor 3 days ago and I have to say I am impressed . It is really fast , there is a huge improvement between this and my old Phenom X4 9550 . The stock fan is nice . I OC to 3.5 Ghz ( 10%) and no heating problems .

Great processor, WAY cheaper than the other guys, ya little less stats, but hey, is that little extra stats worth 800 more? Nah, not really, these guys are on the side of the gamer, cheap and effective.

Great CPU
Comment:
Bought this, threw it in a msi 785gm-e65, with 4gb of corsair xms3 ddr3 with win7 ultimate, had no problems at all. actually used the oc switch on the board and oc'd it to 3.5GHz with the stock heatsink and fan! probably can go more, just haven't tried yet. Great buy.

Well worth the price.
Comment:
I have had this CPU running for a couple months now. I have run video rendering (Adobe Premiere Pro), Hi def 1080p movie playback, And some memory and CPU hogging games like Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, and this CPU hasn't had any problems with them at all. I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate and have had no issues there either. The reason I bought this particular CPU was it was the fastest one which was compatible with my mainboard. I can't think of any cons for this CPU. I have always had a good experience with AMD and Intel both so I can't say one is better than the other.

Cons:None so far

Pros:-Fast-Fits my budget
Comment:
I purchased this CPU to replace my old P4 ... what a big different.I can converted a same movie in less than 1/2 of the time it used to take. Multiple programs running is not an issue anymore.I turned OFF 'Cool and Quiet' feature in bios and instantly getting 7.3 (up from 6.9) in windows 7's experience index. Great CPU performance for budget build in mind.

Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008 run smoothly!
Comment:
I know nothing of gaming but my world is good when I get a stable mobo and CPU combination to run these two Server products. Gigabyte boards install and run my stuff without giving me any driver grief. The quad cores rock! 25 percent cheaper than Intel and I've never seen such fast large-query execution and sorting. Never had a BSOD, not so much as a hiccup.

Cons:none so far

Pros:Quad core, great price, fast.`
Comment:
Wow what a great chip. I have bought two of these so far. I overclocked them to 3.6 without adding any voltage so I'm sure that it won't shorten their lifespan any. As usual AMD products are easy to install and perform great.

4x Hot
Comment:
Purchased from TigerD for ten bucks more just two days ago. I should had waited. I upgraded from a AMD Atlon X2 250. I did not wipe the system, I just upgraded the chip, and it runs like a champ. I used Everest to benchmark the system, and my scores increased by 89 percent. Video renrendering in ConvertX has shot through the roof and I am loving this chip. I have a Q6600 and this bad boy leaves that thing in the dust most of the time.

Phenominal(lol phenom is name)
Comment:
This processor is phenominal. it plays games like World of Warcraft at a a framerate of around 100. I did some Ctrl Alt Delete test in taskmanager it ran at 13 percent usage which is pretty good if I do say so myself. any people looking to make a build like me i reccomend this for anyone. The price is bomb you get what you pay for and more.

Value and Performance
Comment:
Can under volt substantially at stock. With a Kingwin 1264 heatsink in a very tight, poorly ventilated case I can bump to 3.6 GHz at 1.375V and run Prime95 for hours. Have briefly pushed lots farther but this is all the speed I need.... :-)

Very Nice, Reliable
Comment:
Being a first time builder, I myself reaching for this CPU, and it delivered. Very reliable, I don't experience any lag, ever. It does a great job, and even with stock cooling it performs as expected. If you are willing to pony up the cash, you will not be disappointed.

Tony Doesn't know what hes talking about
Comment:
Tony, your CPU is running at 800Mhz 'cause AMD has this nifty thing called Cool n Quiet. The CPU runs slower when it doesn't need to work hard. But the bad boy under load and and it jumps up the full speed. AMD rocks!! Buy this CPU!!!!
