Man, no matter whether you leave this card stock or more than clock it, you can't help but to like it! I bought a i7 950 to go onto this and at a push of a "button", you can go from three.06 to three.33 to 3.70! When you think about the dollars you can save by getting capable to do this as an alternative of purchasing a i7 965 or 975...why waste your income?! The only con I have is not with the MB but with the sound card that comes with it. I wish that a rep from ASUS would clarify this a single to me:Why in the planet did you install a competitors sound card with your MB (Sound Blaster)? That's โ I'm certain I paid added for it is hardly worth it! I would have gladly paid for a mixture kit that integrated your ASUS Xonar D2X 7.1 sound card instead! I'm only making use of this SC until I can afford to get the ASUS SC as an alternative. I wish that ASUS would me a credit towards buying their D2X card and they can preserve the SB card they put in the kit. I'm also running 6 gigs of OCZ 1600 RAM with EVGA's GTX 285 model 02G-P3-1185-AR and it's Wonderful!

None because it fried on startup. I agree with ProPilotB6 earlier comments that this board eats Core I7's. I have been avid user of Intel and Asus for my MOBO's for years; unfortunately I bought in March, but due to circumstances couldn't assemble the Asus Rampage II Extreme LGA 1366 & Core I7 Extreme 965 until September. It was really disappointing to uncover the board power up and not POSTing. It appears to be the CPU has gone to a superior place (then ASUS); but at a ũ,000 a pop, it's not like you can just go and replace it to troubleshoot. Regrettably I learned an high-priced lesson; as the time period past, doesn't let me to claim the warranty. Nicely I guess from now on I will buy from EVGA my Š decision.Right here in Hawaii we have to be distinct; shipping kills right here, trying paying for a +ű cable and paying +ฤ for ground shipping. To sink additional into this setup by shipping the board back in forth for servicing is not an economical solution. Yes, ASUS internet site and tech help ~ leaves much to be desired! Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Client,Dear Valued Client,We are sorry to hear about your scenario. Luckily, your board is covered beneath our ASUS Premium Service plan, which provides an advance replacement for your defective item to reduce downtime. very good efficiency, stable, Fantastic Bios!Require I say more? Could be A small tight for some massive CPU coolers. There are several little things on this board that enable make it less complicated to work on, like getting SATA plugs turned to the side so they don't run into the GPU.this board was clearly created with the enthusiast in mind.

Great board! Fired ideal up with no difficulties, Windows 7 had the the drivers for me to not even will need to run the enclosed computer software disk. There are a ton of OC selections and a boat load of fan connectors which was exactly what I required for my NZXT Tempest situation. Recognized my Mushkin Redline DDR3 1600 6-7-6-18 setting with XMP profile 1. Not significantly of a con but some of the connectons like the backlite I/O board are a pin to plug in if the MB is already in the situation. I have a Cooler Master V8 CPU cooler on the CPU wicch clears anything just fine but the optional fan doesnt fit now but its truly not needed. Wonderful board for the future if the Intel i9 series fits like its getting recommended.

The board was the 1st quality x58. So I seriously wanted to acquire a monster so rampage II seemed wise. For 3 months I seriously had no genuine troubles. Then the wall came down. 1) It began with a standard 3 months clean and dust the pc out. I was pulling the memory out and ping the tiny metal pin flew out. So I had to call up for RMA. The RMA cross-shipped board has been nothing at all but a nightmare. My initially clue need to have been the excess thermal grease left on socket and smeared on component of board. The other was there two or three sets of jumper pins that had been bent. It looked like a person tested it , didnt clean it. Then sat a heavy object on the base of it.Glad I got a leading notch replacement.First boot up, this is stock setting and similar set up I have ran for 5 months. Chassis Intrusion message. Ok pulled off the cover and checked the jumper it was correctly placed. Though I replaced it and nonetheless exact same message. It took like dozen instances of clearing bios and seem to disappear.Strangely, while I was dealing with this Asus called to verify on their service. Told them what was going on so they sent an e-mail.Anyways, a week went by all was excellent. Ran a prime 95 So that really sucked all the raid menu wanted to do was delete the disc and reconfig.I bought 2 additional HD set up another raid . 12 hours later that disappeared from existence. So named CS at Asus, got a lady who you could tell did not give a ....... I asked if they could cross ship a replacement for a replacement. I was told no, this board was going to require to be tested 1st.So I am at this point, I am seriously upset.I have a gut feeling I am going to get that board back. Just been a significant headache for the last week.I have bought crosshairI , II and other boards. Now I am bit concerned with regards to future ASUS purchases

This board is very nicely build. The thick PCB along with thoughtful placement of the elements created for a sturdy and tough feeing board that was uncomplicated to install and I didn't really feel like I was going to break it. Anything posted without a hitch and it overclocks like a dream. I've only had the board a day and currently achieved a benchmark stable four.42 ghz overclock on a 920.The bios throws a lot at you at initially but soon after you familiarize yourself with the settings, it's actually easy to navigate and figure out what you need to have to see.I struggled for weeks researching critiques on just about every x58 board and I finally decided this was the one particular I wanted. I am completely happy with my decision. It may well have been a lot more expensive than other individuals on my list, but in a year or two, I'm never ever going to miss that further 75 or 100 dollars I spent on this board. I'd substantially rather have what I'm happy with. The size is bigger than ATX so in my antec 1200 case, i had to meticulously program out my wiring. It bocked the cutouts practically completely so I had to have the wiring done just before the board went in.Also the EL I/O panel light on the back is already dead. I heard about other people having theirs die...had no thought mine would only last a day. Oh nicely..not worth rma or even a con for the board. Just don't expect the lit IO panel to perform for extended. Antec 1200i7 920 D0Asus Rampage II extreme6gb Corsair 1600 CAS8GTX 295PCP&C 750 PSUNoctua NH-U12P SE1366All jive just fine.

Every thing as advertised. Good fit and finish with good quality construction. Straightforward Install. Not single situation so far. None so far. This was my 1st develop in about 15 years so needless to say factors have changed. But I've had a bunch of Computer's in that time and Asus has generally been a solid MB in most of them. With this create my opinion of Asus has gone up an additional notch. The physical install was a breeze and the BIOS was simple to setup and update.I have it setup with a I7-920, EVGA GTX295 co-op, 3x2GB OCZ DDR3 1600mhz. I've but to do any OC'ing on this program but I intend to (with some help lol) and this board is an OC'ers dream. For somebody like me with just enough knowledge to be dangerous, this board is remarkable. Might be a bit pricey for most, but if you are thinking of OC'ing your hardware, it's worth each and every penny.

Excellent layout, straightforward overclocking, frequent BIOS updates. Northbridge cooling is fairly poor for such a high end motherboard. 1 Egg - My second motherboard crapped out. Initial motherboard worked for 8 months with no concerns what so ever. One day it was shut down (usualy leave program on 24ǝ), and it would by no means boot again. Failed to post. Recieved a refurbished replacement for Asus...board was certainly someone elses difficulty before, as there were new parts soldered on the board. The board did operate nicely up till last week. Stopped recognizing all my method RAM...BIOS only saw 4088MBDo a google search for 4088MB and the overwehlming majority of results are for Asus X58 boards. There is naturally some sort of problem. Asus support gave me a run about claiming it wasn't the board, and it was the processor's memory controller. Replaced processor AND memory and nonetheless have the issue. Just tried to contact support and I had an individual take my name and quantity and they will contact me back (won't hold my breath).

Tons of features, Looked very good. Liked the added X-fi card Aside from the reality that it was not operating when I hooked it up, I did not care for the layout of the pcie slots. I don't think I will ever attempt dual videocards or even three, but if I did, I would not be employing the other pcie slots for anything else! No space. Speak @ a screw up! Received the board on the 22nd. Didn't work. Talked with New Egg assistance, mentioned I had to send the board back for testing in order to confirm. Didn't make me content, but went along. As an alternative, New Egg sent back the board but the OEM version on the 31st. No cables, no disc, no sound card, absolutely nothing just the MOBO. Named back today and issued me a refund. Thinking about which board to acquire now, nevertheless tempted by this a single, but soon after reading the final few evaluations, I'm thinking not. I mean the 1st board was dead not New Egg's fault, but the second 1 I didn't even connect due to the fact it was lacking every little thing. That's not ASUS's fault either. If anything, my faith in New Egg is shaken much more than my faith in ASUS Hopefully they can retain some of that "charm" they had when they had been just beginning. . . .

Replaced defective Asus "Supercomputer" motherboard with this one. Have not been disappointed. I've owned it for really a while now not possessing any issues. Bios is simple and easy to navigate via. Extremely recommended board for those wanting to develop a new Computer. Just minor complaints. I wish the RAM was a small bit further away from the CPU. I'm doing air cooling with a Scythe Mugen and it hangs more than some of the RAM. Not a challenge, just a nuisance for an individual with case cleanliness OCD like myself. The supplied sound card was..lacking, and way as well close to my massive video card. Very easily fixed by replacing it. A couple cons, but just me nitpicking. Now if I can determine on if I want to purchase another 12 gigs of RAM or not! :)

This board has every thing you can want from a motherboard. I has so many choices that I could be regarded a con, but every single alternative is worth getting. I had this board for 3 hours up and operating, and I had a stable 4Ghz OC on my i7 920 chip, making use of air. The BIOS are incredibly straight forward, but if you are new to overclocking, you may possibly get overwhelmed at very first. It is incredibly uncomplicated, and incredibly stable to get high overclocks. Also, ASUS ROG warranty is excellent which usually gives peace of thoughts. Not a beginner board. If you are new to overclocking or creating computers, I would not advocate this board. Appear at the ASUS P6T Deluxe V2. Specs:Intel i7 920 ƔGhz, 1.28v, HT/Turbo On - Idle temps, 42-46c load temps 76-83c), Prolimatech Megahalems HSF, Rampage II Extreme, 6x2gb Corsair Dominator DDR3 1600, 2x BFG GTX 295 in SLi, Corsair HX1000 Modular PSU, WD Raptor 300gb, Seagate 1.5tb, Samsung OEM DVD Burner.

This boasrd is good, All functionality works perfectly and I have not had a single problem with it.It overclocks super uncomplicated. I have in no way had a board overclock so well. Within 10 minutes I had my i7 920 operating at 4.2Ghz absolutely stable (also inside manufacturers voltage limits) So I am very impressed with this board. Also the I/O shield lights up so you can see where items go in the dark easily, good for lan parties. This board does not support quad crossfire or sli. Well when I say it dosn't it really does, just that the pci-e slots are so close together that your cards will overheat with stock heatsinks on them. So unless you watercool do not think you can quad sli or crossfire with no running your fans at 100% There are a lot of bells and whistles on this board, but the lcd poster is super good. And to comment on a different post I read, this board does take a even though to post, but if you disable all the prepost overclocking capabilities it is much quicker to boot.

Great board when it worked. I may possibly have got a defective board from the get go, simply because randomly my Computer would freeze, and I would have to reboot. I replaced my PSU, my RAM, and generally tried all new hardware with this board just to make confident the dilemma wasn't something else - it's the board. Standby lights commence, but it doesn't boot at all when I press power, flashes a couple occasions, dies, and repeats.跾 dollars for three months and then dead? Unacceptable! excellent board for overclocking 1st board blew out immediately after two months one thing to do with the ram slots.. 2nd board ran excellent until either my video cards smoked the board or the board smoked the video cards.. poor layout you shed two best slots, 1 for the heat sink and one for the "on board sound" and when running tri sli the bottom card hangs down off the bottom slot on my case anyways a lian li 343b.. im done with this board.. picked up a supercomputer board to support what i need to have.. you pay nearly 400 dollars for a motherboard you expect perfection this was far from it.. ive generally utilized asus often been excellent boards but the final year or two has been a negative nightmare. i went with asus once more for the supercomputer board so lets hope its not near as negative as this experience was with the rampage. i gave it two eggs as if your a overclocking junkie this is the board for you.

I brought my board on December two last year. The board was carrying out fine until a couple of weeks ago. I figured at first it was the tough drive considering that I was finding tough drive error messages. Right after I replaced the hard drive, my program would nonetheless lock up. So following running some memory diagnostics, I replaced the memory chips. I even tried an older power provide. Now my Pc boots, but it still locks up immediately after whilst. My internal temp is at about 51 C. I know that can't be the issue, simply because I have two other Pc's and 2 laptops in the identical space that have the similar internal temps (though the laptops are a bit hotter). Immediately after reading the earlier users input, I fear as although my i7 possibly affected as well.I have not been able to obtain any helpful support therefore far. I am searching for help as to what I really should do now. Please help me newegg!! I got support, but none of any use.

This mobo is produced for OCers. It has a incredibly detailed BIOS which you can tweek fairly much something you need to with out any hassle! The included LCD lets you OC or test your mobo with no needing a monitor. You just use the joystick on the side of the mobo to increase or lower attributes. The overall efficiency is amazing on this mobo! It runs anything smooth and I never ever get any problems (I'm gaming ALOT on this factor too!) For those who are new to the OC globe, there is even a good function on this mobo that lets you opt for what CPU you would like your CPU to be like. So for example if you have an i7 920 and you want it to run like an i7 975, all you have to do is click! It has a incredibly nice look to it that any person from a hardcore OCer/gamer to an individual just employing it for casual use can appreciate. The included soundcard works excellent and looks good in the case. The mobo comes with a lot of accessories that some will find beneficial and others you will not use, but it's superior to No cons for me, but I will say this. Make positive you have a good sized case simply because this mobo is slightly bigger than standard normal ATX mobo's. So some people today may find that as a con and not be able to simply fit it in their case. I'm not confident why some people say this fired their i7, I've been utilizing this mobo for about 4 months now with an i7 920 OC'ed to 3.two ghz (air cooling) with no any issues at all. The men and women who fried their CPU probably tried to take the OC too far or just didn't know what they were undertaking. And for any person asking regardless of whether or not they can fit a Noctua NH-U12P 1366 heatsink with out hitting your RAM, YOU CAN! I am using corsair dominator ddr3 RAM and I have no space troubles with the two.
