O.C. is easy. Overclocked my 920 to 3.6 very stable with RAM at 1780. Crashed my BIOS once on a firmware update and the ASUS EZFLASH utility was swesome, got it back up and running in 10 minutes. Love this MB!

ASUS Rampage II Extreme ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:A bit flashyTerrible Asus programs expect Probe II.

Pros:Loaded with excellent overclocking features; multiple bios profiles, voltage readings, user-friendly tweaking.Intel's x58/ICH10R chipset.Excellent motherboard design. 24GB RAM, now with bios updates.Fancy & cool looking. X-Fi Sound, DD & DTS ready.Standard Asus package; lot's of accessories.Exceptional cooling technique on chipset and aluminum fins installed beside the cpu.
Comment:
My Gigabyte x58-extreme failed on testing some of it's feautures and I wasn't even overclocking. Wasn't able to access the bios anymore so I gave it back to the retailer and purchased the good old Asus.If you intend on overclocking like crazy then this is the board for you. It's primary focus is gaming so running it on stock speeds will absolutely blow you away with an i7 965. Extremely stable but very sensitive to changes so one has to be fairly knowledge to overclocking. Intel's built in chipset is tremendous even due to some bios failures or overclocks it's a stronghold with sata/ide instructions so there is no fear of destroyed arrays. By far an easy, cool-looking (mind some of that flashiness), well-designed and engineerined (about time) Asus motherboard. Highly recommend it. Best of the best.

i7 + Asus Rampage II Extreme = AWSOME
Comment:
Definitely the most flexible mother board... you have to be careful, its easy to push the limits a little further than i feel comfortable with. but seems to handle everything smoothly,. i have noticed that with the three phase power its a little trickier to reset the BIOS from time to time.

Beyond the Shadow of a doubt thee absolute best Motherboard out there for the new LGA1366 chips and DDR3 Memory. Liquid Coolant ready: Liquid-cooling ready for optimal heat dissipation. The Fusion Block System is a more efficient thermal solution than competing followers with complicated looks. It is a hybrid thermal design that combines the ROGs renouned heatpipe design with the additional ability to connect to a water cooling system. By taking the entire integrated solution into design consideration , with a single connection, user can enjoy exceptional thermal improvement to north bridge, south bridge, and even VRM! What else can I say? Thee hottest M.B. EVER!!! (err.. Coolest I mean) Contact: Swiftech.com/store for the Northbridge waterblock custom made for this and another ASUS MoBo.. Comes with so many extras and tools, it will teach you overclocking and more. The BIOS is easy to manage. Asus Online Support is Great USE LIVE CHAT!

ASUS Rampage II Extreme ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:At this price look at the EVGA Classified too.

Pros:VERY Impressive Package, Very Solid board and LOADED with features.
Comment:
This is a BEAUTIFUL board. It has EVERYTHING and you even get the X-Fi as well. I would say this is the perfect board EXCEPT for the price point. at $525 it is a steep investment but the OC ability is out of this world. I love this board to death!I bought it with a price match with another e-tailer for $450 but I was looking at the EVGA Classified too. at a $125 jump I decided not to do it but now looking at the EVGA if there is a small price gap the EVGA DOES give you an additional PCI-E Port (4 instead of 3 on the Asus) but the BIG thing I did not know until after I bought the Asus was that EVGA also offers Lifetime Warranty on the Classified. So if you can get a good deal on the Asus Rampage II Extreme buy it but if you are paying full price it WOULD be worthwhile to spend the extra $60 to get a fourth PCI-E port and lifetime warranty. ASUS Rampage II Extreme ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:zeroexpensive, but you definitely get what you pay for

Pros:Amazing, the pinnacle of Asus engineering
Comment:
This was by far the easiest board I EVER put together.CPU runs cool, 32C at most apps and 43C gaming..I am sure once I clock this monster up the heat will also go up, but its nice to have some headroomEasy to overclockVery stableYou can check the voltages directly from the motherboardIdiot proof connecivitySound card is very nice....Kaspersky Anti VirusLots of Asus utilitiesExcellent and in depth manualThe Bios is really in depth and will certainly keep me busy for some time. The X58 chipset does get hot when the memory frequencies go higherUpdating the Bios to 1001 was a breeze......I really don't know what else to say.Home PC's have really come a long way..this one makes that statement. Its well worth saving up for. Highly recommended

ASUS Rampage II Extreme ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:Doesn't overclock nearly as well as many other board that are cheaper. I actually bought this one from an retailer based out of the US and it left a sour taste in my mouth. It hates many type of memory but I did get it to work with Corsair Dominator. Reviews online show it to be subpar and my own findings seem to indicate this.

Pros:-It looks nice
Comment:
Not worth the price premium. The gigabyte boards (UD5 and Extreme as well as Asus's own P6T6 series are MUCH better).

Pretty amazing piece of engineering I have to admit, this board so far is about perfect. Layout is ideal in my silverstone TJ09. My first ROG board and despite the price, I'm not disappointed at all

It's a great motherboard with a lot of features. Having so many usb ports is pretty nice but I'm still struggling with getting the front usb ports to work. Like the first rampage extreme it comes with a lot of cool little features like the lcd poster, easy connector clip for front connectors and everything. But the support for it isn't quite up to par. When I first plugged everything in, I couldn't get it to post so I called the company and they didn't even have a webpage for it or drivers and the representative knew nothing about it. The RAM apparently has to be plugged into the connectors farthest from the cpu first which is different than most motherboards. But other than that it's a great motherboard if you want to spend the money.

I just built a machine with one of these for a customer. It was very easy to set up and to work with. Probably one of the best boards I have ever worked with. Specs: 12gb ddr3, I7 extreme 965, 2 velociraptors, 2 4870x2s. One of the best machines I have ever made.
