I applied this to replace a PSU that went poor in a client's server. It powered it suitable up and has been working ever given that. None so far This PSU was a tiny smaller sized in size than the 1 it replaced, so I had to rig it up, but that isn't it's fault.

Name brand (Antec rocks), High Effencency, runs cool and silent, 500W under higher anxiety, lots of internal connections. A little pricey for a 500 Watt these days, but your receiving a higher top quality product, and there is practically nothing worse than building a high finish technique with a 500+ watt inexpensive no name PSU and then questioning why two weeks later your new Computer smells like smoke, :). Ive been useing Antec in all my builds for quite a few years, and have by no means had bad experiences with them, they have usually been a small greater priced then some other brands, but they are trustworthy, and thier client service is wonderful.

Really trusted, efficient, and quiet.I bought this at the egg back in fiveቫ񳏈 for ็, the price now is just ridiculous. --- I not too long ago bought an Antec EarthWatts 650W (๊ at the egg) for my new develop since I know I can count on Antec. Back in 2005 I purchased my initially Antec PSU (SmartPower 400W). After 2.5+ years it was nevertheless functioning fine, but it started to make this strange clicking noise. Concerned, I called up Antec and the customer service was just excellent. They gave me a RMA quantity, address to ship the PSU to, and all that stuff. Blown away by their consumer service, I didn't even bother to RMA the 400W. I bought this Antec EA500 instead, expense of shipping the old a single for RMA wouldn't have been expense-productive anyways.

It seemed like the ideal energy provide for me. It was compatible with the case and the MOBO has far more energy than I necessary at was properly priced. Died much less than a year following getting without any warning. No power surges or lighting strikes. Just went dead on me I can't figure out why.

Correct cost. Straightforward to install. Cables straightforward to manage in my Antec tower. Quiet (not silent) Began receiving intermittent lock-ups and non-returns from Sleep mode - believed maybe it was an OS situation. Then, no warning, PSU died. Going to attempt my luck with a Coolermaster Silent Pro 600 Prior Antec PSU - bundled with the tower I bought - ran continually 24ǝ for four years. I anticipated related benefits with this PSU; even so, it did not deliver. No changes in equipment, usage or environment.

Properly, it worked for a even though. I purchased this power supply new from Circuit City, and apparently it never ever did work appropriate, I just didn't know it.I installed this in a rig with a C2D E7300 and 8800GT SC. Each and every time I turned the machine on, I had to hit the power button twice. I believed it may well be just the way the power supply or the motherboard worked...right after all, it ran fine. Then a single night when watching Television my rig was on and all of a sudden I noticed the power light on the front of the case go out. That was it, power provide died whilst the rig was running.Fast forward to the subsequent day and I get my hands on an Antec Earthwatts 750, and set up it. Low and behold, my rig turns on now with a single push of the power button instead of two like it did before.

Well I'm at the 8 month mark and it operates excellent. None but. I have a suggestion for other individuals who have had pains with PSUs failing. I have in my basement a pc that is old, and not very valuable for anything. I have windows 2000 running on a 10 GB HDD with nothing but a functionality tester set up on it. I run the test for 24 hours, and when I come back immediately after it's completed, and not fried. Then it's most probably safe. I will almost certainly have to use a newer board if my next PSU isn't 20Ʋ but I'll deal when I get there.

Hopefully this quiet, effortless to set up and full featured psu will last a extended time. Ask me once again a handful of years from now, but seems to be of high good quality and solid build construction. Remarkable how substantially dust had accumulated on the Intel cpu heat sink underneath the fan. If you have a lot of noise take a search and I may possibly have saved an additional problem cleaning that out. Now great and quiet, really pleased.

Fits case perfectly. Cable top quality looks very good. 4 SATA connectors are sufficient. Runs cooler than the 300 watt Liteon it is replacing. Quiet so far. *Not* compatible with my APC UPS. If I do a UPS test and take the UPS to battery energy, this power supply fails. Very disappointed in the inability to use a UPS with this energy provide. I haven't run across this challenge prior to with any PSU.

I've been searching to upgrade or create a computer system for quite some time and the funds just happened to finish up in my lap and I had some spare time so I decided to go for it and upgrade an old family desktop. So I've been going through and executing analysis on motherboards, power supplies, and just about every little thing below the sun to make positive I knew what I was getting myself into. The first issues to upgrade on my list have been to add a graphics card and upgrade the power provide. For the price tag you truly can't ask for additional, and the reality that this power supply had all the connections I required for a rather old motherboard was a good bonus. Effortless to install and almost everything worked in 1 go and I haven't had any troubles with it. It's absolutely quiet and even when under a higher load I have no issues with it.I'm certainly looking forward to making use of this for rather a whilst and/or upgrading working with the identical business in the future. The only con that I have (and it's a modest sufficient of one particular that it's not a deal breaker) is that the power cords are plentiful. Which implies that if you're like me and utilizing a rather little case, that suddenly you'll recognize that you have a tiny case. I had to tuck all the unused cords into the empty spare optical bay basically due to the fact if left unchecked, it could have covered my cooling fans on my processor and graphics card. Of program, that's nothing at all a simple case upgrade couldn't fix, to be truthful, so like I stated, I'd rather have also substantially than not sufficient in this case.

First this factor has long and flexible cables. . . Ran through my method quite nicely. . . Very steady output with hardly any noise what so ever!!! Lots of connectors as properly!! 4 SATA's and 6 peripherals. Wished the cables had been not bare . . . and more SATA connectors. . . Peripheral devices are now nearly phased out. I just installed so we will see how durable this device is as now this is my 3rd power supply on this rig. . . My rig is a definite energy supply eater!!!! Will adhere to up later!!

Quiet. This type of supply is incompatible with most UPS's - you have to have a "true sine wave" UPS which charges a lot additional. It will reboot your laptop or computer on the typical transition instances of a standard UPS. Its created in a Chinese factory which suggests they (the Chinese) play the low-cost part substitutions game with Antec all the time, so its a crapshoot how lengthy it will last. We're actually in a sorry state with power supplies these days - I replaced this locally at a premium so I could attempt to come across one particular not created in China (Western Digital essentially has a tough drive line guaranteed not to be produced in China). I did not succeed - out of nine manufacturers I could discover, all had been created in China. So I bought a provide from the only a single that advertised its capacitors were "high good quality Japanese" origin. That in itself speaks volumes.

500 watts and still operating Buzzing noise sounds like the power provide may well go out at any time. I've been told by numerous people (especially newegg consumers about how Fantastic antec power supplies are, specifically this 1). Nonetheless though, this power supply has been far more than disappointing. My buddy owned 1 and it died in less than a year. Now I just purchased a new a single only to discover it makes an annoying buzzing/ringing noise. I expect silence from antec merchandise and this did not provide at all.

Purchased this a year ago to replace a mediocre 430W Rosewill, and it's been operating for over a year now with no issues. At present powering:Athlon X2 4400 鲮W) Tyan Tomcat K8E 鿫 baby!ꈨMB 8800GT 2 x Raptor 74GB RAID02 x WD 250GB RAID11 x DVDRW This could be a pro or a con based on your case. The intake fan is on the back of the unit (facing the front of the situation) as an alternative of the bottom as is the newer style. Simply because it's not as major as a bottom mounted fan, it is a little louder than other PSUs. Even so, if your situation is mounts the PSU on the bottom of the situation or is a single of these newer dual chamber styles, then the fan position is perfect. Decidedly not attractive. Plain gray, no light up LEDs or black casing. Function more than Kind...

Solid power provide.A lot of power. Has been reliable for 8 months plus. No sleeved cables. Kind of pricey for a 500 watt plain jane power provide. I own three Antec brand power supplies and they do appear dependable. four eggs do to the inexpensive cabling on this model. I just feel at this ๕ price tag range there are superior power supplies out there with rebates and totally free shipping you may possibly find a 600 watt modular for less money.

Snagged it on a combo deal with a centurion case for affordable. Been powering a server 24ǜ.five for two years with no any problems.I'm thinking about refreshing some of the server's components soon in order to double as a mid range gaming rig in a pinch. 500W gives plenty of headroom to do this. A tiny pricey when there are no discounts operating.
