Cons: No power cordSmall cooling fan

Pros: 80 plus bronze certified
Comment:
A solid, quiet, mid-efficiency PSU for mainstream systems. Make sure you've got a power cord lying around or add one to your cart since he unit doesn't come with one.

Spotted my friend on this PSU, seems to be working as advertised. Wasn't too expensive for a reliable 500watt PSU. I'd recommend it for a single card system on a budget.

Antec Earthwatts 500W Power Supply ATX12V V2.0 Active PFC 80-PLUS 80MM Fan
Cons:seems to gets pretty hot due to lack of larger cooling fanit's not black or red, or blue(well, I want some more color beside grey)

Pros:very efficientvery quietplenty of connectionsstable currents
Comment:
it's a very good power supply, for 500W, this thing will meet most demand on an avg PC. I didn't like the choice of color for it, it's grey, would had preferred black or red or blue, or just anything but grey. It's relatively quiet, as well as having all the necessary connections.only real downside is the heat, it does get pretty warm, it's probably due to the lack of a better fan.

Decent power supply. I also have the EA380 version which is a solid unit as well. My only complaint would be the higher then normal price tag. But like the saying goes, you get what you pay for!

Antec Earthwatts 500W Power Supply ATX12V V2.0 Active PFC 80-PLUS 80MM Fan
Cons:Too costly without discount

Pros:Low cost when on sale, save energy
Comment:
Well I bet this is the same thing as the power supply come with Antec sonata 3. The case itself with PSU is like 80 something when on sale. This PSU is like 60 on sale.. Does that mean the case alone is like 20? Function wise is good, nothing to complain. However, the price could be a bit lower. You can find cheaper 500w PSU if you really wants a budget build.

Cons:-None

Pros:-Cool-Quiet-Very efficient-3 year warranty
Comment:
I bought this because I want to make computer as energy efficient as possible since I run FAH 24/7. This PSU did not disappoint! The power consumption of my computer at full load went from 165w to 125w which is a reduction of more than 24%! My old power supply was an old ATX Antec 300W PSU. The three year warranty doesn't hurt either. Highly recommended PSU.

This unit is an excellent powersupply. Bought it to replace a cheap-o unit that came with a case that was a hand-me-down from a friend. Solved all the power-related issues that computer was having. The PSU just screams quality from the way it's assembled, and all the reviews on the internet certainly back it up.More than good enough to handle all but the most demanding computing requirements.

Antec Earthwatts 500W Power Supply ATX12V V2.0 Active PFC 80-PLUS 80MM Fan
Cons:No frillsCable management may be an issue for some

Pros:Reliable powerGood valueReasonably quiet
Comment:
I purchased this power supply on sale to power a basic Core 2 Duo system: one video card, two hardrives, one optical drive. The reviews from the web were favourable and for the price seemed to be the best bang for the buck for a reliable, reasonably efficient PSU in this power range. The power supply is not fancy, it is plain jane traditional silver-grey, with no bling, which suited me fine. It cames with a basic manual, power cord and mounting screws. The main power cable only is sleeved (mesh), while the others are bundled with cable ties. There are a lot of connectors/cables (see later) and some may find cable management to be an issue if many cables are unused, as was the case for me.One particular issue I encountered involved the 8-pin EPS12V connector. I found that the cable was not long enough to reach the top of an Asus P5K Premium over the video card from a bottom-mounted PSU , when the PSU was installed right-side up (label facing out) and the cables coming from the far side. Luckily, the case allowed for upside-down mounting of the PSU, and this provided enough slack to feed the cable over the video card and tuck it out of the way up the back of the case. In larger cases, if the 8-pin connector is located near the top of the motherboard and the PSU is mounted at the bottom, the cable might require an extension to fit. I have taken the liberty of listing all the cables and their approximate length, as follows:24-pin ATX power connector cble with detachable 4-pin approx. 18 inches6-pin PCIE connector cable approx. 18 inches x 24-pin ATX12V connector cable approx. 18 inches x 18-pin EPS+12V connector cable approx. 18 inches x 13 Molex connector + 1 floppy connector cable 18-19 inches to the first connector, then approx. 6 inches between subsequent3 Molex connector cable 18-19 inches to the first connector, then approx. 6 inches between subsequent2 SATA power connector cable x 2 18-19 inches to the first connector, then approx. 6 inches to the nextIn operation the unit is more than adequate for my purposes, powering a system with relatively modest requirements by today's standards. Although not silent,I found it to be virtually inaudible in use, certainly one of the quieter components in an air-cooled system. For my purposes, this unit simply does the job unobtrusively for a reasonable price.

Comment:
This came in the Antec Sonata I used for my mom's build. COnsidering the case was less then $100 and this PS sells for $80 it can't be considered anything less then a smoking deal.Tests show very little voltage ripple and it should be enough to power any single GPU system. Built by Seasonic which have an excellent reputation. An excellent PS made even better by the fact that it's dirt cheap combined with the Sonata case.

I purchased an Antec Sonata 3 case that came with this PSU. It is very quiet and easily has enough power for my q6600, 8800 GT. My GPU has 2 PCI-e connectors and this power supply has two, which is awesome for a 500 W. Great PSU for the 500 watt range.

I have a few items made by Antec and I like them. This powersupply is quiet has sufficient specs to supply my needs. Lots of plugins. The case temp is lower than with my previous Antec PS. Maybe not for those that like to display and dress up their computer inards as it is plain looking.

I got this on sale for $55 and it is awesome. I have bought nothing but Antec PSU's/cases for the past 8 years and I have never been disappointed. This power supply is quiet and reliable. And for my purposes 500W is more than enough. I suppose some people may need more, but I don't know any of those people...? I run a core 2 duo, 8gb ram, 3 hd's, Radeon HD 3850, 2 Optical drives, peripherals, etc...

Pros:Extremely Quite, powerful.
Comment:
I purchased this a month ago and done some test and it didn't fail me one bit. Antec has done a great improvement in this power supply. I run a dual core 3.4Ghz Intel, with 3 Sata hard drives, two DVD burners, TV tuner, 4Gb of Ram and GForce8800 and it works great. You can't hardly hear this power supply, you have to get very close to it to hear the fan. Price is cheap for the this powerful Supply. I would recommend it to anyone who desires to build a new system. If you are building a system that will have to two video cards I would recommend the 650Watt one.

Great power supply. No complaints. I have no idea why the modulars are so much more expensive, but since I wasn't willing to spend the money on them I am left with a lot of extra clutter that I don't need on my older board (no SATA, no PCI express).

Antec Earthwatts 500W Power Supply ATX12V V2.0 Active PFC 80-PLUS 80MM Fan
Cons:Cords could be a little longer

Pros:More than enough power for a decent build. Stable, energy efficient power
Comment:
Bought this to put in my p182 case, with an e8400, 8800gts 512 and 2 hdds and 1 dvd. Install was easy and is much quieter than my previous power supplys. The only issue I had is one of the cords runs the height of the case and is pretty tight but that is more a problem with the case I chose rather than the power supply (as the ps is at the bottom of the case and has to go all the way to the top). Read the professional reviews to see that this is a stable, efficient and relativly quiet power supply.
