Antec Earthwatts 500W Power Supply ATX12V V2.0 Active PFC 80-PLUS 80MM Fan
Cons:-too many connectors. 4 six pin PCI-Express video card connectors is a bit much for a 500watt PSU-the 6pin PCI-E power plugs don't put out enough power to over clock my AMD 3870 video card reliably.

Pros:-very silent-runs very cool-very power efficient-fairly compact design-fairly light weight
Comment:
I bought this power supply when looking for three things.1. power efficiency and is rated 80 percent or better2. has to run cool and it does3. has to be as silent as possible and is almost silentThis is the most silent power supply I have ever owned since my Antec true power 430watt PSU. Since that time I've owned an FSI Forton 500watt, OCZ Powerstream 520, OCZ GameXStream 600W. I am a gamer and am running an overclocked HD3870, a AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ Dual Core 2.7Ghz Processor, 2Gigs of ram, a high end sound card, amd a few other basics. The power supply is barely even warm and my computer is running very stable.UPDATE: After 3 weeks of use I found that the PCI-E 6 pin power connectors don't put out enough power to over clock a video card and may not be sufficient enough to power a 8800GTX (overclocked), or an AMD HD3870 x2, Nvidia 9800 x2 with out creating stability issues. To over clock my video card much and keep it game stable I had a hybrid connector that allowed 2 four pins to a single 6 pin PCI-E connector. I ran the power from to different rails to load balance the power use and all is well. This review was modfied by poster @ 04-03-08 10:43 AM

Antec Earthwatts 500W Power Supply ATX12V V2.0 Active PFC 80-PLUS 80MM Fan
Cons:80mm fan, grey, no sleeves.

Pros:Active PFC. 80 plus rated.
Comment:
I needed a relatively inexpensive high quality power supply for my HTPC after my crappy Cooler Master died. I needed something with good amperage on the 12-volt rails for my X1950pro. I also wanted high efficiency and a reasonably quiet fan. This power supply met all the qualifications, and after reading the reviews I jumped on it. It has been rock solid stable on in my system, and it is quieter than my case fans. It also has lots of connectors, including 2 6-pin PCI-E connectors, and both an 8-pin and separate 4-pin connector for those who need either on their motherboards. I would probably even trust it with my 8800 GT in my gaming machine. A great power supply and I will buy it again.

Antec Earthwatts 500W Power Supply ATX12V V2.0 Active PFC 80-PLUS 80MM Fan
Cons:Somewhat bland designA tad expensive for a 500W PSU

Pros:Reliable500W is not hyped-up
Comment:
This PSU can power your computer easily. You can run a 8800GT SLI if you want. Active-PFC is good. However, design is a bit bland. Clean power.
