I had high hopes and it failed poorly. Purchased this on 12ቦ񳏉 threeᛐᛉ PM. As soon as I completed my develop I had troubles. Random reboots. Turns out the voltage was unstable. It got to the point it would not even post. I purchased this Rosewill Green Series RG530-S12 530W and installed it and zero troubles. As with this cheaply built unit I had problems with it freezing up quickly and had a new build to trouble shoot. It was difficult to narrow it down to the psu. Just glad absolutely nothing else was harmed. Don't waste your time or income. I assume I will finish up finding the shaft on this deal.

Incredibly excellent for the value, particularly fantastic in general. Electrical energy bill didn't skyrocket when installed. Ventilation is great. It's not modular.

Extremely great clean design, lots of distinct kinds of connections. Powered our method right after an older 500W died, and it has under no circumstances failed. It's powering an E6600 dual core, HIS HD 4890, 2 Tough Drives, and anything else, and it rocks. Has everything we need and keeps every little thing operating. Lots of cables (it's kind of hard generating it appear clean with all the cables, but this is not a challenge). Very good sturdy power supply.

Not a terrible PSU, if you can get it on sale. The model I received is not the Seasonic-built EA500, but the Delta EA500D. Probabilities are that the original EA500 is no longer readily available anyplace, with the lower-end Delta replacement getting been in the supply chain due to the fact early 2008. I really don't know for confident about that.A little disappointing, but, for the sale cost I paid I'm not gonna worry about it too significantly. It would be nice if Newegg would update the item description. I had a chat with a CSR the day I received mine, was told they'd appear into it, and, properly...yeah.I would not have bought had I identified that this is the Delta unit.

Worked from day one particular to upgrade an from an Antec 380 Earthwatts unit when I got a greater video card. I now use the 380 in a back up technique, and it has been going sturdy now for pretty much 4 years. It is quiet and does not run hot. This is the 4th Antec unit I have purchased for personal use on many systems ƒ Earthwatts, 2 Basiq) and all of them worked when they came out of the box and all of them nonetheless work to this day.Replaced an old dell with a basiq unit and it runs good. None Don't low-cost out on the power provide unit. It may possibly be tempting, but don't. Wait for a sale on NewEgg of a good brand like Antec and buy.

It's not a 500w Rosewill that only lasted ten months. Hoping to get several painless years out of this psu. Manufactured by Delta, Which is a best of the line power supply corporation. None. You get what you pay for. Devote a tiny further for your power provide. ษ a lot more then my Rosewill p.of.s psu which was ฽.

Can\'t truly feel of any. These shipped as a package with Antec 300's for me. None of the six worked. Absolute complete waste of my time, but not worth the hassle shipping six cases back with their energy supplies. If you're new to building computers, do not skimp on your PSU.

- Runs extremely cool- Runs very quietly- Plenty of connectors; I got anything in my case hooked up with lots of cables to spare - Not substantially to look at- Slightly underpowered for my rig now I bought this for a machine I was making to be particularly cool, quiet and to be conservative on energy use. I wasn't disappointed. Regrettably, I've pretty significantly upgraded every thing in my box to gaming elements and it doesn't push enough power for my 2 GPUs. Functions fine in a budget gaming rig.

Never had any mysterious reboots or feasible process overheats. Utilized to play resource demanding games like Oblivion and Supcom. Warm blowing instead of really hot like some past power supplies I have employed. Energy Efficient. Pricier but I consider worth the cash. My CPU fan is substantially louder. Pricier. Typical cabling. Antec appears to be honest with claims and advertising. No fancy LEDs or looks to attract , but rather maybe just a far more trustworthy and worthwhile than usual power provide.

Soon after much more than a year of continuous use, this puppy is nonetheless powering on just fine. No whine. No noisy fan. No cutouts. No ripple. No challenge... Not really cons with careful preparing.... Some cables may be a bit short (like the ATX 12-volt and 24-pin) in a bottom-mount case. Other cables will stifle the airflow in your case with a mATX circumstance. I'd appear into a modular if you can afford it, but if not, go for this one particular. Just be aware. Several... Oh! About the energy provide nevertheless? Positive... This is a SeaSonic hiding below an Antec hood. I'm not positive if Delta is nonetheless creating these or not now, and how that impacts what you'll get, but I really like a PSU that requires no focus.

Thick Heavy-Duty Cables, Lots of Heavy-Duty Plugs, runs quite quiet, runs cool also. 3-Year Warranty! Haven't noticed any but I'd been thinking about replacing my old, low cost 300-watt PS and when it began creating rude noizes (fan bearing going negative), I did my investigation. I chose this PS due to the fact it's Antec, a brand that I genuinely trust, and mainly because of it's 80+% efficiency rating. Also, I went with a 500-watt PS mainly because I believe in more than-engineering points...far better to have a 500-watt PS operating cool @ 50% load than a 300-watt PS operating hot @ 80-plus percent load and screaming for mercy. I was *very* impressed with the PS when I opened the box. This issue just screams excellent, with a thick, sturdy casing, and lots of heavy-duty cables with lots of heavy plugs. WOOT! I undoubtedly got what I paid for, and then some. It runs so much quieter than the old PS I was employing, and a lot cooler as well. I like the three-year warranty, it speaks volumes to me when a business stands so solidly behind their products like Antec does. I'm sold on Antec!

Nicely antec did it once again. They switched the manufacturer from seasonic to delta. This is indicated by the D at the end of the model quantity. Beware newegg markets this as the ea500 but it is actually the ea500d produced by delta. They have lower good quality standards than seasonic, but it's still a decent psu. See above It's an alright psu but newegg selling this as the ea-500 is kinda incorrect. Oh and by the way all of the critiques on other web-sites are for the 500 not the 500D

This PSU is of excellent build good quality. It has all the functions needed for a modern day PSU, and supplies sturdy, clean, and consistent power. The fan is virtually silent, and the unit by no means seriously gets hot. I use this in a tiny case, and it fits nicely simply because it is not as deep as most units. Also a lot of wires. If this was partially modular it would be wonderful. I don't will need so a lot of connections taking up area in my already little case. Maybe other people do. The modest size is a big plus for modest cases with complete ATX PSU's. All the negative critiques appears to either complain about DOA (it takes place, what can you do) or random crashing which could simply be induced by any number of other things. The only greater PSU for the dollars is a Corsair VX series, if you can get a fantastic deal on a single.

Lasted four-five years with increasing load 񣰘 GTS, four SATA Challenging Drives operating in a Computer software RAID, 1 IDE difficult drive, two DVD-RW Drives, P4 2.99GHz, several USB devices). Really loud. I don't keep in mind if this was generally the case, but it was surely loud through the end of its life, I noticed a large improvement in the sound coming from my machine immediately after I replaced it. Cables are a bit also lengthy for my machine and finish up taking up way also much space. It did die, but it lasted four-5 years which I consider is acceptable, and to be honest I could have been pushing it beyond its limits (see above). May possibly have given it a greater rating earlier in its life as it's possible it was quieter ahead of, but my most recent memories of it are being very noisy.

Worked fine till it failed. See other thoughts This was a replacement from Antec when previous Antec psu I owned failed (was under warranty). I knew I was at the wattage limit with my earlier model, so when I returned the item for replacement, I provided to spend xtra $$ for a larger psu. Antec went "by the book" in replacing "either exact or comparable model."Certainly, I was suitable. I'm truly surprised it lasted this lengthy. Will look to diverse brands for a new psu.

Has superior distribution of energy, lots of Amps to each and every circuit. Also has a rocker on-off switch. This was an upgrade, and has improved method stability. None so far. I have an Acer Athlon II from a common department store. I was questioning why it was crashing and hanging all the time, and disovered it only had a 200W PS!! I cannot believe anyone would build a dual core AMD with a 200W PS. I was incredibly annoyed.

Reliable, stable, and a 3-year warranty (parts & labor). Been working with Antec PSUs for many years with no a difficulty. Installed in a number of systems: Different Intel motherboards with various Intel Core2 Duo and Core2 Quad processors. Never ever had any complaints about this or any other Antec PSU. Luke9583: The Supermicro C7X58 motherboard manual is clear about what it demands for energy specifications. The Antec EA500 PSU meets those needs and more. Nonetheless, the specifications for your specific systems logically depend on your distinct build (CPU, and so on.). You may well require to attach Both the 4-pin (to JPW3) and 8-pin (to JPW2) connectors. Also double check the power specifications for your peripherals to make certain you aren't overloading either of the იV rails, or ANY of the rails for that matter. Although it's definitely potential you received a negative batch of 6 PSUs, I can't picture NOT performing a 1-method test setup prior to investing such time, funds, and effort in 6 systems and then not holding Antec's feet to the fire - if the PSUs are indeed faulty. Antec has usually been timely and responsive to consumers. Or, possibly your motherboards are at fault - Supermicro is also quite responsive.
