Great value for a simple PSU. Plenty of cables for all internals. I am now "stuck" with two of these PSU's which I can't use, mainly because I will not give up my UPS! This PSU is NOT compatiblewith the "stepped sine wave" output from my APC Backupsunit. Unless you are willing to spend 跌 - 躔 for a UPSwhich puts out a "pure sine wave", you can't use one withthis power provide! Each and every time the UPS performs a self test orthe line power drops and it switches to battery, your Computerwill reboot! I spoke with Antec Tech support and they confirmedthat ALL of their PSU's (except for one incredibly low end unit) arethe very same as this one in terms of line power specifications! Be quite careful what PSU you acquire if you use a UPS. It justmight not be compatible. I am upset with Antec for notdisclosing this requirement somewhere in their specs.

Nice quantity of cablesQuietDidn't destroy my motherboard when it went kaput. DIED immediately after getting it installed for only 13 months and less than 500 hours total operating time on the machine. Laptop or computer merely wouldn't power up. Replaced with one more brand. Worked properly when it was working, just would've liked to get much more out it as a complete.

Bought throughout the Black Friday sale to preemptively replace an aging Antec SL350 that in fact FAILED (both of its fans went kaput) the day soon after the EA500 arrived. Now, the SL350 was fairly old (I don't keep in mind precisely how old) so what could I expect?Anyways, installation of the EA500 was a snap, the Computer works beautifully again, and the failing Antec SL350 didn't take out the technique board when it began to bite the dust, which makes me one happy customer. No fan on the underbelly of the EA500 (unlike the SL350) close to the CPU. A couple of years back, I employed Antec power supplies in most of my loved ones's builds, and our personal computer systems have been stable ever considering that then.Word of caution about Antec rebates: their rebate fulfillment agent went bankrupt lately, so Antec is handling all of its rebates directly now.

None that I can think of. NOT i7 CompatibleExample...Supermicro C7X58 single socket board. I had 6 of these power supplies. None of them was able to energy the above board (board alone! No gpu energy was necessary)This was a bad expirience; complete waste of my time. This is in conjunction with a previous assessment of mine.

this is 1 heavy psu and for most of my AMD builds is plenty of power. has both the four pin and 8 pin mother board power 20ቴ pin a lot of sata and molex connections as nicely as PCIe connectors are you kidding this is a power home for a 500w continious power not peak power, volts are tight and it is quite efficient

Genuinely cannot get enough of the high high quality Antec PSU's and instances. This 1 I housed in an Antec Two Hundred for an HTPC construct. Extremely silent and effective. The key motherboard power cable is braided - good touch. I can't believe of any. My 850w Antec Accurate Power has been solid for 1.5 years and I am expecting as a lot from this 1 too.

Very good Steady output under heavy load Yep, has difficulties with Stepped-Sqaurewave output UPS's (like APC) I had my initial with a Sonata 3 case, 2-4 large Seagate HD's (non-'green'). on APC 1500 w/o any problems, lots of power outages sailed by means of more than a year+. Then, bought a new Sonata 3 identical, moved the HD's to it, and put a 'green' single drive in the old case; will reboot instantly when the UPS kicks in. (new case works FINE)Now, clarify that! It's mainly because when the ps is lightly loaded, it fails, but when it's heavily loaded, the stepped sinewave output is 'just fine'! But I'm sure that Antec didn't look at that, they figured that failure happens under HEAVY load, not LIGHT load...!

Superior whilst it lasted. Could not work with the APC Back-UPS ES 550CA I got for Christmas. Been employing this supply, for a couple of years w/o problems. In reality, I've employed Antec supplies exclusively for the the last 10+ years. They are all still going... except for this one. This one failed a week immediately after I hooked it up to the UPS I got for XMas. The CooolMax PS-228 PS tester says the Power Excellent Signal is poor. My GA EP45 UDP3 MB beeps continuously. Replaced it with a Thermaltake TR2 W0379RU 500W ATX 12V v2.two Power Supply because I feel there may well be an incompatibility dilemma... and I'm cheap :)

No positives to speak of as it was DOA. Don't waste your time with this 1, as a dead PSU will totally destroy your PC constructing day. What's worse, I purchased this as a combo with the Sonata III 500 case, which means I'll get to pay some ungodly quantity to ship it back for a replacement. Not worth it. Ought to have listened to my inner voice and bought that Corsair PSU with an empty Antec case. What definitely baffles me is the lack of Antec mfr responses on this thread. For somebody who I when viewed as the Cadillac of PSUs and instances, I'm amazed that they are willing to enable such negative impressions create unchecked. In short, don't obtain it. Invest the added บ-15 on something else, due to the fact that's what you'll be out in return shipping anyway right after you get your dead hunk of metal.

Fit my ANTEC case perfectly and had all the capabilities I wanted. Never worked. DOA. I tried every little thing. I even removed the power supply from the case and did the brief trick to make the power supply come on without having a motherboard attached... nothing! I purchased this PSU because of the excellent ratings by others. I guess I'm just unlucky. RMA for a refund and purchased an additional brand.

· Cables are lengthy sufficient for bottom PSU(power supply) developed circumstances. You'll also be able to guide your lines for greater air flow.· 80 plus certified· It's not oversized.· Runs cool & quiet, also really stable. · The price is too high comparing to the other brands. But Antec Earthwatts are usually trust-worthy items. You could watch for those unique offers to obtain it.· It has tons of cables and you'll have to have space in the case to put them away from the air way. I put mine in the lower HDD box. My case is Antec P183, I had my cables by means of the specially designed space behind the motherboard, and it was a tight fit to the ATX12V socket. If the motherboard is further away from the energy supply, it may not fit if you have a expansion card such as a video card like me.

A really excellent power supply, earth friendly, and the 80plus efficiency is terrific! The power supply came in a nice box that assures you of its quality. My psu upgrade went effectively and now i get past the bios post test. I in fact bought this power supply so i could power a discrete graphics card (my ol 250w couldnt do that). Antec has made a terrific powersupply. Shipping was incredibly excellent, i got the power supply in two days! The manual could do a small function. I essentially read it but i knew how to install a psu just before i read the manua. (i primarily read it just to see that i wasnt forgetting any particular/important details. Wonderful Service!

Quiet, effective This energy supply, like many manufactured in the last few years, has Active Power Factor Correction (Active PFC), which makes a lot more effective use of the supplied energy. The purpose of any kind of power factor correction is to make a lot more effective use of the supplied energy and to present a a lot more "even" load to the utility corporation. An additional "advantage" of Active PFC is that the power supply automatically adjusts to the input AC voltage (within specific limits), and for that reason doesn't will need nor have a 110V롴V input voltage selection switch. Unfortunately, a lot of of the Active PFC designs (including this one) are incompatible with the "simulated" sine wave output of most of the lesser-expensive, "consumer-grade" Uninterruptible Energy Supplies manufactured right now. And most individuals who buy a UPS but this kind, not realizing that its square output won't function with an active PFC power supply, and may even trigger that energy supply to burn up! I utilized this power supply for over two years and fought the UPS incompatibility issue, as properly as other strange power supply "glitches", that brought on my PC to either reboot, power off, or just randomly lock-up. Following a couple of years, I bought an pricey "pure sine wave" UPS, and it helped these "glitches", but the new UPS did not totally remove them. So I finally gave up on the Antec EA500 energy supply and replaced it with a non-PFC model from yet another manufacturer about two months ago - Due to the fact then, I haven't had any far more PC power complications. I have sworn off both active PFC power supplies and Antec energy supplies (I've had two others that died), though I still like and use Antec's cases.

It functions. Truly, it worked perfectly fine, but... I use an APC BE650G 650 VA 390 Watts UPS. It's a battery backup. Soon after laborious experimentation and investigation on the internet, I discovered that this power supply is not compatible with electricity provided by a battery backup when the main power goes out. As I recognize it, it is mainly because of the "PFC" or power factor correction. This feature is apparently only compatible with electricity that comes in a "pure sine wave". However, almost all personal UPS generate a box like sine wave. Only extremely costly UPS that produce a pure sine wave are compatible with this UPS. I am extremely disappointed that this facts was so difficult to come across. It is not on the Newegg product page and is buried deep inside the 1-egg reviews. Furthermore, Antec is apparently really reluctant to acknowledge this "problem". I come across it deceptive that they would fail to provide this facts. Note to self: constantly read 1-egg reviews.

Seemed excellent for the initial 10 months -- easy install, smooth and pretty quiet operation. No troubles. 1 day my personal computer went fuzzy-screened and crashed in the middle of working on some thing. When I tried to turn it back on, the power supply would spin 6 or 7 times, shut down the pc, turn it back on and repeat the cycle over and over until I shut it off. Had to RMA through Antec. Just installed the replacement and it's working okay so far. Hopefully I won't hit any bumps with Antec finding my refund -- I had to acquire a new one and wait to be refunded, considering that I didn't want to wait a month or so to complete an exchange.
