This thing cleans like no other, period. I will never go back to alcohol after trying this...gosh it leaves nothing behind. One solution actually polishes the surface for better heat conduction between the CPU and heatsink. |

Using isopropyl alcohol works to remove thermal tape, pads and silicone based compounds. But, it take a lot of work and if thermal performance is sacrificed if there are any residuals.This stuff makes this chore a breeze.I've ruined enough thermal tape on ram-sinks to pay for this product. |

Pros:- Cleans heat sinks extremely well.- Purifies when cleaned so the thermal paste reaches its full potential.- Many applications- A few drops let sit for 60 seconds and GENTLY wipe off. Comment:
This product brings the base of your heat sink to a glistening shine. Breathing new life into a glob of metal you were recently thinking of tossing in the trash. It seriously looks as though a layer of metal was shaved off, like NEW. I will never consider using rubbing alcohol again, SCRUBBING AND SCRUBBING AND SCRUBBING. 5 Star Product. Thermal Material Remover 1 smells like Citrus and the Thermal Surface Purifier 2 smells like Windex. Whatever it is, it does an excellent job. Use in a well ventilated area to be safe(crack a window). This stuff works great, I couldnt believe how great it works, I had to move a CPU to another motherboard, and so I grabbed some of this stuff and it just takes off the thermal compund great, just put a couple of drops on wait about a minute and it just comes right off. This stuff was great. |

It's ridiculous how good this stuff is. Use it just like they say on the bottle -- put on a few drops, wait about a minute, then wipe it off -- and it will work like a charm. I had my doubts about this cleaner removing thermal paste baked on by a Prescott 2.8GHz, but it was awesome. If you want to nitpick, you have to apply it a second time in order to remove all the thermal paste and get that fresh out-of-the-box look for your CPU, but that's really about it. It even smells good, like orange oil or lemon oil or something. The Arctic Clean web site says it's a completely natural product, and it smells like it. Highly recommended! I would give it six stars if I could lol |

I absolutely love this stuff. i used to fing taking off old thermal grease very tedious and time consuming. this stuff is like a miracle product, it really works. drop some of number 1 on the surface, wait ten seconds, and everything comes off in a second. i even cleaned some old cpus that had remnants (sp?) of more that one coating of thermal grease. it made the cpu look new again. i don't what the number 2 stuff does exactly and all i notice is an increased shine, but i highly recommend this product. |
This is absolutely the thing you need if you are planning to use aftermarket thermosolutions. It cleans out the surface so you can apply you new thermal compound onto it. It could take hours to clean up the components with out this.
