I think it is a great overall MB for the money but for a novice installer the instructions you get aren't great and the website for biostar isn't very good as well. I'm using it in a home linux server that runs 24/7 and have had no problems with it for 2 months. I would purchase again.

This board is fast, supports IDE drives, SATA drives and floppys. It has high quality chipsets for audio and video while supporting 8 GB memory.

Bought a Biostar K8M800 awhile back. The second time I opted for the Biostar MCP6P-M2 instead. My ONLY complaint is it has only 1 IDE header, so I gave it a 4 for features. Otherwise, it is an excellent MoBo that's easy on the wallet.

I bought two of these as part of a bundle. Took about an hour to get them both up and running and so far no problems. You will want to get a decent video card for higher performance (I've yet to do that) but otherwise a good product.

Got it as part of a barebone kit. My first time building a desktop and it works great. The only draw-back was that it doesn't have a port for my old laser printer (w/ older pin plug-in). This means I'll need to get a printer with USB connection.

great product for the money, especially when bundled with barebone kits. only downfall i found were the placement of the SATA ports (all the way at the bottom) and I wish the on-board ethernet was gigabit. other than that, very easy to install and configure

This is a great Mobo especially when bundled in the barebones kits. I have chossen this unit twice due to it's performance,reliability and ease of asemmbly hardware and software wise.

My first board was a MCP6PB and my only complaint was only 2 sata ports. The MCP6P has 4 sata ports, so no more complaints. I recommend them for anyone on a budget looking for a good product at a good price.

I got this motherboard and AMD 64 bit CPU for $99. Works grate on both 64 and 32 bit OS. Would like a 3rd PCI slot but I will make do with the two. Frank

I was a little skeptical at choosing Biostar as I and my geeky frineds are not really that familiar with the products of Biostar. I was very pleased to have the instructions as picture-gram of the whole board. No little snippets to try and locate. My suggestion for installations is to work clockwise around the picture. Wasy to follow and to keep your place.

After ordering this MB I found the issues with Nvidia and their lightscribe issue. I can burn discs but the lightscribe fails every time. The other issue I have is a mistake on my part, not enough slots for my stuff (only 4 sata ports, vid. card is large and covers up one of the PCI slots, only 2 ram slots that max at 4 gb so no room for adding more if needed) Basically I shouldn't have went with a micro atx, but the lightscribe is the major problem and it is the same with all Nvidia.

i have purchased about 5 of these mother boards and never had a problem. i would diffinetly recommend these m-b's. the ram that came with the combo - get different ram, it did not work with the system. could not get it running until i added different ram. after that, GREAT.
