Ok, but few problems
Comment:
I bought this motherboard as a bundle with a barebone kit. When i opened the box, I noticed that it came with everything, except the CD with drivers and the instruction manual. I am not sure if this is the case with all the boxes, but it was very inconvenient as I had to go to the manufacture's site on another computer, download the drivers, and burn a CD with them. However, this is probably the best motherboard you can get at this price because the other ones I have seen are at least $100+.

Good Product needs Biostar Support
Comment:
This board is good, but the Support from Biostar is not. I wrote them 3 days after I received this and installed it. It has been a month and They still have not even acknowledged that I wrote. I was simply trying to find info on the Floppy and Parrallel Port Specs and if they sold the Cable for the Parrallel Port.

Good value & speed
Comment:
Performed as described. Quick , simple and painless setup. The kit I got was a great big 'Yes' for the cost and performance. Amd's seem relatively error free. II would recomend it only to those who don't intend to install a batch of upgrade cards, but need a quick and inexpensive unit with good features.

Nice mainboard
Comment:
All though it took a number of times to get the CPU to seat in the socket. Once the CPU was seated properly everything else connected ok and works perfectly. My only concern when I recieved this Mainboard was there was no socket protector over the CPU socket

Great deal for the dollars!
Comment:
I originally ordered another motherboard that was backordered. Called Tiger and they were fantastic about getting me this motherboard as a substitute. This is actually the M2+ (AM2+) motherboard and while the placement of some of the connectors seems a little odd... if you can manage cables you are all right. The drivers installed perfectly and it is clicking along! I have just about every USB, SATA and every other connection plugged in with 2x2048 PC5200 667MHz and am loving every minute of it! Thanks Tiger.

Better than I had hoped for.
Comment:
So far this has been an outstanding MOBO. I would recommend it to all my friends. Works under XP and Linux. I added an nvidea dvi video card and it rivals my HDTV in picture quality. Very pleased. I have used BIOSTAR motherboards exclusively sense my very first Pentium 1 computer I built 14 years ago. That one still works to this day.

Great Value
Comment:
I have built 3 systems with this Biostar motherboard and I build computers for friends and family all the time. I used to swear by ASUS, but if you are looking for a simple, cheap and consistant motherboard I have to say go with Biostar. I havwe installed 3 different OS xp,xp 64 and Vista 64 and never had any issues with any of them I have played Age of Conan, Crysis, SWG and City of heroes on these systems and had no issues. The only suggestion I have is if you are going to game with this board add a video card.

Installed this board along with an AMD Athlon 5000+, 2 GB RAM. Initially I installed Windows XP just to verify that the new configuration would function properly. Worked like a champ. Next, I installed Windows 7. Using the onboard video, sound and LAN I was extremely satisfied with this setup. Still testing it out, but so far the speed, appearance, connectivity- all seem to perform well.

This is one great budget MB. All the board connectors were well marked. I too had to juggle a little to get to the four pin ATX connector plugged in, but that's not a big deal. I am running an AMD 64X2, 2GB DDR2 RAM, SATA 250GB Western Digital HD, HP SATA DVD. No problems at all. I installed Windows 7, and did not even have to install the drivers, Windows 7 did this on boot-up. BUY ONE! Thanks, Tiger

Comment:
Great board for budget build. I've been using this for 3 months now. I built it to use as a spare but liked it so much it quickly took over the primary position. I've run WinXP MCE 32, Vista Ultimate 32, and Windows 7 64 on it. All run smoothly. Not a single crash. Only a couple snags I ran into. First was the ethernet port didn't show in MCE. Had to manually install the driver for it. Found it on the CD in an NVIDIA folder. Didn't know they did anything for ethernet. Second, I had to update sound driver to get rid of a hum in the speakers. Both work fine now. As for memory, mixing works fine, I have 3GB in mine. POSTs with both installed for me. If you plan on adding a video card and running 32bit OS, I wouldn't go with more memory than this. 32bit will only address 4GB total including what's on you video card. Thought WinXP might start faster on this than my old 2Ghz single core w/1GB memory. Not so.

Comment:
I have two of the AGP version of this board. Having installed WinXP32 & 64, and Vista64 Ultimate I can state that by Microsoft's performance benchmarks these AMD boards give 25% higher throughput over an Intel dual core of same clock rate. I regularly run four apps flat out and see very little degradation. On an application basis the performance is smooth and slick - no waiting. XP64 and Vista64 double the performance over XP32, with 2GB ram for XP64 and 4GB ram for Vista64. Go 64 bit OS if you can, but check for device support issues on printers, scanners etc.

This motherboard was so easy to install. If you don't set the board right into the case it will short out and smoke. I bought a bare bones system and had it up and running in 30 minutes. Great product and fast board. My son even is playing WOW on it and it screams fast!!. Thanks Tiger!!

Comment:
This motherboard came as part of a kit I purchased to replace an aging system my wife uses for e-mail, online gaming, and light graphics. 5 stars for value, quality, and performance; 4 stars for features. The install manual is the best I've ever seen; a full color slick paper sheet that unflolds to 14''x20''. One side shows the motherboard full size with color diagrams locating every part used for installation. The other side has step by step instructions in color with close-up pic inserts. The features came up 4 stars due to the MB only having one IDE socket. This permits only 1 IDE drive and one CD drive. Not a problem if you use Sata drives unless you need more than 2 CD drives. There is only an internal parallel printer header. Not a problem if you use a USB printer or purchase a parallel printer cable to provide slot port connection.
