COOLER MASTER HAF X RC-942-KKN1 Black Steel/ Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case
Cons:Couldn't fit the air duct with a 6970 card

Pros:Very good cable management space
Comment:
I wish I could fit the air duct as well as a Asus 6970 card, but unfortunately, it wouldn't fit no matter what.

COOLER MASTER HAF X RC-942-KKN1 Black Steel/ Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case
Cons:HeavyUSB front panel ports upside down

Pros:LargeGood airflowAesthetically pleasingOn castersTool-less drive bays
Comment:
This case is a beast. It will fit any sized GPU and motherboards you have, with plenty of space to work with and still maintaining great airflow. Looks great from all sides, and has a black painted interior. Very sturdy and strong, solid build. It is quite a heavy case, but shouldn't be a too much of a problem if you put it on casters (included). Only problem I have with it is the USB ports on the front of the case; they are upside down, so all USB device plugs are plugged upside down, unconventionally. Not a huge deal, and shouldn't deter you from getting this case if you need a beast full tower!

COOLER MASTER HAF X RC-942-KKN1 Black Steel/ Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case
Comment:
You have area for just about every thing. It has USB 3. support. Amazing airflow! It really holds holds up to 7 HDD and four 5 1ǘ" slots. Uncomplicated cable management. The USB cables for the front have to be plugged into actual USB ports. It doesn't come with a conversion that permits them to be connected to the Motherboard. If you're sold on this case make sure you obtain a different 200mm fan. The top of the case supports 2 of them but it only comes with one. If you're seeking for some red LED's to match the front fan go with the Logisys five LED Lazer Lights and posistion them from the top rated. Just two of those will light up your whole case.

Comment:
Outstanding airflow, quiet, looks very good inside and out. Wasn't free. I spent a lot of time researching a case and I kept coming back to the Cooler Master situations. I decided on the full tower simply because I have the Sapphire 6950 which is a giant card and I also have 8 tough drives. Lots of space for components and lots of airflow. I was shocked how quiet it was.

Cons:no external 3.5" bayhot swap bays hard to removeheavy

Pros:Roomylots of air flowgreat cable managementUSB3 front ports3.5" drive trays can also support SSDs
Comment:
I bought this case so I could fully internalize my water cooling loop. This case offers plenty of room, making my full ATX motherboard look rather small inside. While the case isn't too loud, the sound coming from the fans is definitely noticeable.I found the external hot-swap trays very difficult to remove and replace, likely a result of the powercoating causing a tight fit.I know the specs don't mention any external 3.5" bays, but it was something I didn't think about before ordering the case, so now I don't have a place for my internal card reader. The cable management options are great, and very flexible, allowing for a nice clean interior, and better airflow. The case is very heavy, even before it gets fully laden with components, however coolermaster does offer casters, so it can be moved easier.

COOLER MASTER HAF X RC-942-KKN1 Black Steel/ Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case
Comment:
Large case with a ton of room and ample methods to route and hide cables, especially if you are not making use of water cooling. It is of very sturdy construction, not flimsy at all. Removable difficult drive trays from the front are a nice touch. The snap connectors for the HD and DVD cases are uncomplicated to use and hold the drives in location nicely. I applied extra screws to ensure the HD remain put. No screws for the best fan mounts, you will have to drill holes if you want to use the screws that come with after industry fans. There are no USB 3. connectors for the motherboards. The resolution is to run the USB three. cables to the back of the case and route by way of the water inlet to the external mother board USB three. connectors. When Cooler Master has the connectors they will send them to you, but you need to register the case and submit an RMA to get new USB three. cables. There are 5 openings for fans. 200 mm fit the front, leading and side vents. 140 fits the back and the internal fan for the video cards. If a 3.5 " HD is utilised in the best mounts, you will want further brackets to fig into the 5.25" bays. Overall I am very pleased with the attention to detail of the Cooler Master circumstances, I also built another rig employing the HAF 912 case and it was of the very same excellent.

Great top quality, significant size, and I mean big. Wonderful choices for cable routing. Lots of airflow and cooling possibilities. About the only con I see so far is the front USB three. connection, you have to route the extensions thru the back of the case. Im certain Cooler Master will get together soon with the mobo manufactures like Asus and modify this to a plug on the mobo.

COOLER MASTER HAF X RC-942-KKN1 Black Steel/ Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case
Comment:
It has incredible airflow. Very roomy, you can very easily fit a 12'' card in there. Cable management is really efficient, there is a lot of space between the back of the MoBo rack and the removable back panel so you don't have to care about cable placement too significantly. The case is quite huge. Incredibly sturdy. Heavy. Not that I care but it might be an issue for some. It comes with optional wheels. It moves enormous quantities of air, you need to have a program for dust management. The HAF X 942 is merely great. I fitter my H70 radiator as an intake on the front leading grill. No challenge with it, looks great.

COOLER MASTER HAF X RC-942-KKN1 Black Steel/ Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case
Cons:It's a monster case. Very large. Not really a con if you know that going in.

Pros:Clean black interior, great cable routing, very quiet
Comment:
This case was an absolute joy to work in. I built a new computer in one in the matter of a few hours without any scraped knuckles. EATX motherboard fit in very easily, cables routed through all the suggested grommets quickly and easily. The case and supplied fans are all very quiet and air flow seems to be great (so far, prior to overclocking). My only complaint really would be the e-sata port on the front of the case; I would never use it, so I removed the cable. However, coolermaster put a blob of glue on the e-sata plug/port to glue it in place. It took 20 minutes of careful cutting with a razor to get it off.Regardless of my glue issue, I would highly recommend this case to any enthusiast builder. Its great!!

COOLER MASTER HAF X RC-942-KKN1 Black Steel/ Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case
Cons:After doing a brand new build and using this case for about a month, I am still unable to find any cons. One minor thing as a "wish list" for this case - a hand lock for the side panel (like on Sonata cases) - so that you do not need to deal with screws every time you want to open the case. But that is not even a "con" - just a minor suggestion.

Pros:Very roomy = easy to do a build even with large components; excellent set of front panel connections, very good quality of the case and components, looks awesome!
Comment:
As soon as I started building my new system in this case, I was asking myself the same question over and over again - why didn't i get this case earlier and why didn't I use full tower cases for my previous builds??? I am not a PC tech and I deal with PC components only when i need to upgrade my own PCs. Still, this case was very easy to deal with. I loved the overall quality of the components of the case. HDD cage is well built, PSU was very easy to install too. I was quite happy to see that I can use front panel USB 3.0 by just plugging the case cable right into my mobo (I did not need to do that back panel solution as suggested, I am guessing, for older mobos). The front panel has EVERYTHING I wanted to have - both USB versions, audio, firewire, eSATA. I did not install the wheels (which are included!) as I was afraid my kids will dicover this feature and will one day roll it off the stand. However, the wheels are a very nice option to have and might be handy with a full tower case. I've read some comments that the front panel power button sliding cover is "silly". Personally, I find this solution to be great. Works well with kids being around. A small slider cover looks nice and very well designed. Goes well with the overall look, I think. Other negative comments i saw on this case - "the case is too heavy". Well... duh - its a full tower with quality components (which are usually somewhat heavy comparing to cheap plastic), so what do you expect? THis is not something you want to carry around. This is THE case for a powerhouse, monster rig - the centerpiece of your PC room. So, overall, I can't find any negative points regarding this case. I got it on a sale and with an addtional price match, however, I think even at its regular price it is a great deal. Highly recommended!

- Super quiet fans and fantastic airflow- LED on/off button may be dumb to some people today, but I locate this feature thrilling.- Cable management is best notch.- Largely screwless style is no hassle at all.- Has rubber feet that the energy supply rest on the lessen vibration. Good idea!- Vents in all the proper spots.- Easy on/off for the side- Expense is Extremely impressive for anything you get.If you are even reading this evaluation thinking about the case, I would suggest you add it to your cart. Its that sweet. The casters they included are a bit modest but its not like I am taking it 4 wheeling so no large deal. The slide that covers the power button seems afterthought. I assume they could of developed it a small far better to make it click or not seem like its grinding. From the moment you open the box to when you have your system totally configured, this case does not cease to amaze you. I bought this from another vendor, but researched it here prior to creating the acquire.

-Great temperatures on the cpu and gpu; installed optional gpu shroud with a 120 mm fan, even though it was tight on my mobo-The challenging drive bays were amazing, quickly removable and there are a lot of them-Excellent size to this case, will fit all your elements simply-The panel behind the mobo hides your cables superbly, makes for fantastic cable management -Aesthetics may not be for everyone, it's a dark military-style case, absolutely nothing fancy I got this case mainly because my 480 gtx sli had been often hot-in my old case I hit 100 degrees effortlessly unless I has 100% fan speed-I haven't observed anything higher than 87, and that was with the fans on auto. Dropped my idle temps by 15 degrees, amazing.I have a modular psu and was in a position to hide all my excess cables behind the mobo, made my case a lot cleaner. CPU cables may not fit from the psu to your mobo, but there's an extension which save me. Good case!

Just completed a new create with this case and I am very impressed. Airflow is fantastic and the stock fans are far more than enough to cool your parts. A lot of screws and the toolless design makes it even easier to install hard drives and whatnot. Only complaint is that I wish the manual was a little bit more distinct. I was confused on what kind of screws to use for the motherboard but ultimately figured it out. Not adequate to take an egg off though

Comment:
This is a good case but there is a flaw in it. the side door fan. I have purchased five of there situations now for consumer builds & each and every one had a noisy side door fan. This is a issue coolermaster really requirements to get on & fix. each 1 of the side door fans created some type of noise. Either a loud clunking noise or the fan blades lightly rub the housing of the fan. I have attempted isolating the fan from the door mounts with plastic washers, rubber grommets & every thing I can believe of & absolutely nothing assists. On 1 case loosening the lower door screw eliminated the scraping noise & as its tightened the noise became louder. Three of the fans had a loud clunking noise that was internal to the fan itself as plugging the fan into a power source although not mounted to anything produced the noise in any position I would orient the fan too. Granted coolermaster agreed to warranty the fans out but its a hassle I have no time for & it bites to have to pay to ship the fan back to coolermaster. Other than the side door fan problem this is a great case. I buy there circumstances for customer builds & just do not have time to ship them back & wait on replacements as I sent 1 back & it took over a month to get a replacement. Why coolermaster dosent deal with this problem is beyond me. At this circumstances price or any price for that matter this is unacceptable.
