CORSAIR CAFA70 120mm Dual-Fan CPU Cooler
Cons: Wires for power of fans a little short. I had to attach the resistors to make it work. Too big to have all 4 slots for Ram fit in unless I go with cheaper Ram... water cooler later I guess.

Pros: Great cooling. Stable overclocking possible.
Comment:
Sweet deal when on sale. A word of caution make sure you have a big case.

CORSAIR CAFA70 120mm Dual-Fan CPU Cooler
Cons: -Big (Its a given : it fits in my Antec 300)-Can only be mounted vertically in an AMD System (Exception: http://www.overclock.net/air-cooling/941451-guide-installing-corsair-a70-horizontal-amd.html)-The bottom fan on an AMD system is slightly off-centered because of the retention mecanism used on AMD systems

Pros: -Good cooler-Easy installation for AMD-Stock fans are effective, though upgraded fans would do wonders
Comment:
I am very pleased with this cooler! It keeps my 4Ghz 955 at a cool 45C during benchmarking/stability tests!I recommend this to anyone looking to overclock lightly! With better 38mm fans it can go much further!

Cons: thermal paste was hard to applyno back plate for am3 board

Pros: Great air flowtop is black, looks good in the casedual fansgreat price
Comment:
this is a very good heatsink, under load my temp doesn't go higher then 43 C. I can't tell anything about the sound, since it's not something that would bother me. The only thing I didn't like was that I didn't have an option for the direction of the heatsink since I have an am3 board. Also the thermal paste was very hard to apply. If you grab it on special, this heatsink is great, I would recommend it to anyone.

Cons: -Not much right now, quite the buy for $25

Pros: -Quiet fan (not really audible unless my comp is under load)-Keeps it at a nice 30 degrees, gonna overlock soon and see how far i can push it.

Great cooler especially for the $24 on sale!Installed this in an AM3 system - was a bit disappointed to find it can only be mounted top to bottom ... now fan facing out.Temps are great ... keeps my Linux server Athlon X3 3.2Ghz idling at 22c and max temp around 34cDefinitely great performance for value! CORSAIR CAFA70 120mm Dual-Fan CPU Cooler
Cons: One fan does not install right with the AM3 bracket.

Pros: Quality Brand.Price on special.Quiet Fans.
Comment:
Got this on sale for only 24.99, it is huge, it fits in the Antec 900 case no problem. It is not possible to install the 2nd Fan as it interferes with the AM3 Socket clip that holds the Cooler. But regardless it is a great cooler. My AMD X6 1055T overclocked to 3.8GHZ on stock voltage. Temps never exceed 42 Degrees. Highly recommended.

CORSAIR CAFA70 120mm Dual-Fan CPU Cooler
Cons: -Fans aren't so great

Pros: -Good price on sale-Loose fin spacing, so you can use low rpm fans and still get great performance
Comment:
-This unit is very good when on sale, I tried the stock fans initially on my I5 760 at 4ghz 1.275v I was unable to keep the CPU under 70C without keeping fans at RPM above my comfort level. Swapping the fans out for my favourite CPU fan, the Scythe S-flex e, turned down to ~950rpm. And wonderful, it's very quiet and CPU keeps under 67C.oh mobo is EVGA P55-SLi, video cards are 4890 crossfire, and case is Antec P180.I would definitely buy again, this is great for a quiet cooling solution, but definitely swap out the fans for something better.

Cons: HUGE!!!!!HUGE!!!!!HUGE!!!!!

Pros: Cheap (On Sale)Great cooling
Comment:
I bought this to replace my Arctic Cooling 64 cooler that I migrated from my Opteron to my x4 640 upgrade.Running prime 95 on the AC64 at stock CPU speeds would net +50c. With the A70 I am getting 27c at idle, 42c with Intel Burntest and 38c with OCCT running large MFT's.I underestimated how big this cooler is. The heatpipes at the top of the cooler sit mere millimeters away from the side panel. (I was surprised I could even get the sidepanel on). Since my board is configured in such a way that this cooler exhausts out the top of the case rather than the back of the case, the "Pull" fan sits only millimeters away from the top exhaust case fan. Now I probably could have left the top exhaust fan out of the case but now I have a Push/Pull/Pull configuration and it seems to be working.Well worth the $25 on sale.

Cons: sizethermal compound it came with

Pros: pricedual fan4 heat pipes
Comment:
Got this cooler for a good price. I decided to give this a try to replace my vendetta2 cooler. The size of this cooler is pretty big. It has 2 fan to do push pull. The temp on this this is about the same as my old vendetta2 which is not really an upgrade. Thermal compound it came with is a bit hard to spread around. Also installing this in antec 300 took some time due to its size.

CORSAIR CAFA70 120mm Dual-Fan CPU Cooler
Cons: One fan does not install right with the AM3 bracket.

Pros: Brought my cpu temp from 40C to 25C.
Comment:
Hey I bought this cooler for me Asus M3N-HT and AMD Phenom II X6 cpu. To bring the temp down worked great running at stock it brought it down from 40C to 25C. The only thing is that I was able to get one fan installed with easy. The 2nd one not so much. The clip to lock the cooler in place is in the was of one of the fans. I got it on but it was a fight to get it on and the bracket had to go between the fins to install it. Corsair should have thought about this before they put this out.

CORSAIR CAFA70 120mm Dual-Fan CPU Cooler
Cons: Huge. It's only blocking one of my ram slots but its huge. Not the best if ur room is pretty hot or if you decide to go pass 4ghz.Probably a no brainer but a well ventilated case makes a huge difference on this fan. I have a lian li case a front and back fan only and when i open my case i drop  5c

Pros: Decent cooling, oc'd at 3.8ghz and idling at about 36C lowest and 100% load x 76c with prime95Not bad a price with the rebate for small over clocking
Comment:
Overall its not too bad a fan for the price but to be honest I kinda do regret buying this rather then the h50 seeing i was going to over clock. There's also probably better fans out there like the noctua se2 seeing how it's smaller too and does about the same if not better by a few degrees

Cons: Its HUGE

Pros: Easy to install, good performance
Comment:
Using this with the 2600K and it keeps it at 31 Celsius at idle. Only downside is its huge! I can't install any RAM in the first slot as the fan covers it. You may still be able to install one but the heat-spreader cant be too tall. Good deal though.

CORSAIR CAFA70 120mm Dual-Fan CPU Cooler
Cons: -For AMD users due to the mounting bracket you can only mount the heatsink North to South-maybe Corsair could have made mounting hardware to alleviate this-Blocks one of my ram slots-For Dominator GT users you can always remove the top heatsink to try and make it fit, i just moved mine over a slot but it's tilting just slightly- very hard installing the second fan on the clip side-the way i did it was i removed the fan from the mounting clips and installed the clips first. Then the fans, install from bottom to top at an angle to make it fit.

Pros: +Matches my 800D+Cools well for the price (~$54 with tax and free shipping)+Not very loud(using resistors 1600rpm) even on load

CORSAIR CAFA70 120mm Dual-Fan CPU Cooler
Cons: -AMD retention lever BLOCKS ONE OF THE FANS! wth! -size(may be too large for certain cases)-covers ram socket on my Asus Crosshair IV Formula mobo

Pros: -Large (lots of surface area)-Eight copper heatpipes, wow!-Includes two 120mm fans (with clip pre-installed)-Quiet 120mm Fans (comes with in-line resistors to reduce noise even further)-Includes lots of hardware (and thermal paste)-looks good
Comment:
Purchased this for my new system build including:-AMD Phenom X2-Asus Crosshair IV Formula-Corsair Dominator memoryI wasn't unable to use this cooler. I'll have to use it for another build (next year perhaps:() because of the horribly designed AMD retention lever. Since the amd socket has clips only on two sides, i was unable to re-orient the cooler to make it fit[perhaps someone with more patience + skill would be willing to dremel out a piece of plastic on one of the fans -- but why would you want to?]Seems to work great for Intel motherboards. AMD Design has a massive issue which will only allow you to use one fan. Also covers up two memory slots on this particular motherboard design. Be wary before purchasing :)

CORSAIR CAFA70 120mm Dual-Fan CPU Cooler
Cons: Not a lot of instructionsBig for Midtower cases

Pros: Good performance even with only 1 fan at 1600 RPM
Comment:
THe first thing that impressed me was the size of the cooler. I soon asked myself how I could fit it into my Thermaltake V4 case. I had been obligated to remove my bottom fan and the PSU. I also needed to remove the second fan (the one pulling ou the case) to be able to connect my 8-pin connector but it's not a big issue since the case back fan is 2 inches away.Instructions of installation are quite bad. At first I didn't keep the plastic insulator at did not used the walsher.Performance are quite good, my i7 950 is running at 30C idle and 60C at load with only 1 fan and limited to 1600rpm. I would only liked to have a 4 pin connector to control the fan speed. I would not have bother of the fan running at 2000rpm when playing game as I wasn't hearing it when playing at first when it was at 2000rpm. However when watching movies, it was annoying at 2000rpm. But for now, while I will not decide to overcloak my CPU it's doing a good job.

CORSAIR CAFA70 120mm Dual-Fan CPU Cooler
Cons: Mounting system

Pros: Very good performance
Comment:
First of all, this is a very good performance cooler. My i7 950 load is around ~57 degree at stock settings (vs ~76 degree with stock cooler)Then came the bad part. One of the mounting screw's thread is bad. The first time it slipped a little, but went it. When I had to resit the heatsink a couple of weeks later, the thread on the screw gave way and I couldn't use it at all. I went back to NCIX and they exchanged the screw. The mounting system is also leave a lot to be desired. You have to tape the mounting plate so you can mount the heatsink without the backplate falling off. Not a big deal, but the instruction could be better (it did not mention anything about the plastic insulator or the washer).

CORSAIR CAFA70 120mm Dual-Fan CPU Cooler
Cons: BIG...did I say big?not the best AM2+ fit, but wouldn't be an issue using Intel attachment system.

Pros: Cool and Quiet, Great temp drops under load!
Comment:
Clip that holds the heatsink to the motherboard on AM2/AM3 was easy to install but hits the Fan. Can't install one of the two fans without having the fan off center. Also covers 2 of the RAM slots to the point they are unusable on my Gigabyte board. If I didn't have heat sinks on the RAM "might" get one more slot back...this thing is huge. Get the H70 if you have 120mm exhaust available. I couldn't argue the price performace of this though.. Under $40 with a rebate and works REALLY well if you have the room in your case. I'm using it with AM2+ 940 BE, dropped temps from mid to high 60 using stock cooler to low 40's under heavy loads using the "slow" setting with the fans. At idle dropped temps about 10 C. Aside from hating the AMD clips' horrible set-up, the cooler itself works great. IF you have the room for it. Cooling 10/10, AMD install 4/5

Cons: A little big

Pros: Pretty QuietVery effective
Comment:
Just finished setting up my gaming rig and overclocked my i7-950 to 4.02ghz and so far in under full load the cores are only hitting around 76-78*C.. Not bad temperature under full load during stress tests. So far only using 1 fan on the heatsink because the 2nd fan couldn't fit with RAM in the way.Performance will probably be better with the 2nd fan installed and I will probably install it with some minor offset to the fan to accommodate the RAM being in the way.All in all, a very good heatsink and does a great job keeping the CPU cool even with 1 fan installed.

Comment:
I just got this heatsink today. There were no reviews of it. So it was either a hit or miss with. My other was the Noctua NH-U12P SE2. What drove me away from that one is the color. Regardless of the performance of it, the color wasn't for me. Thats when I decided to get the Corsair A70. For this heatsink, i'm impressed. Stays around 32 on all cores running at 3.8GHz. Then on load it's around 65 degrees at 3.8GHz. Overall on idel from the Intel Cooler, it dropped roughly 13 degrees. Then on load, I had to stop cause my temps were almost at 100 with the stock cooler. So, atleast 35 degrees it dropped. It is cooling a i5 750. Overall, i'm very happy with it.
