Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:None so far

Pros:FastLightweight
Comment:
Works well. Sequential reads/writes of ~ 500/200 MB/s using AS SSD benchmark tool, with an overall score of 700. Not a speed demon but still very good performance especially if you're upgrading from a standard HD. Using as main drive for OS + Games, fast bootup and games load quickly. Even better when using Fancy Cache! Would definitely pick up another one on sale. Crucial M4s are supposed to be very reliable, over the often cheaper OCZ (which seem to go on sale all the time) Works well and is great as your main boot drive !

Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:-no mounting kit

Pros:-cheap on sale-reliable
Comment:
Used this SSD as my main OS drive. After formatting it, 119GB is more than enough for just Win 7 OS. I bought it because from what other people suggest, M4 is cheap and reliable. Honestly, the small difference in speed compared with other faster SSD is probably not noticeable unless you are benchmarking. It significantly sped up boot times. A good value for your money.

Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:BIOS detection woes (possibly my fault)

Pros:Very fast, simple installation
Comment:
The Crucial M4 is a robust, reliable and aggressively-priced SSD. After some initial fiddling to get the BIOS to detect it, things went very smoothly. Windows 7 automatically aligned the partition and enabled TRIM for me during setup. It's not a speed demon like some of the performance-oriented products out there, but it breathed new life into a 2 year old laptop just fine. For the price, and with Crucial's commitment to customer support behind it, I seriously believe that the M4 is one of the best SSDs this kind of money can buy.So get one, they're tasty.

Cons:Still a bit pricy

Pros:Very fast boot up time and response.
Comment:
Installed it on my MacBook White 2009 with OS X Lion & Win 7 x64 bootcamp. Runs like a charm and very fast. Faster response than my old Hitachi HD. No TRIM enable.

Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:Write times aren't the fastest times out there but since I'm new to SSDs I wanted one that was reputable and reliable

Pros:Faster boot timesEasy to install Reliable (so far; haven't experienced the beach ball effect on my monitor as others have)
Comment:
First SSD and with all the hype about them I thought my read and loading times were going to be off the charts. Don't get me wrong, there are still faster than HDDs, I just assumed far better due to the litany of great reviews. But I guess that comes with bigger capacity drives. All in all I would definitely buy another one of these!

Cons:price

Pros:Micron reliability, fast
Comment:
Got it for $99 and used it on a work laptop with only SATA2 and IDE mode (AFCI option was locked in the BIOS by accident). Boot time is significant faster than the 7200rpm HDD. Other operations are snappier too.

Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:- Technically, not as fast as some other SF drives.

Pros:- Blazing fast.- Marvell reliability.- Good price/GB ratio.
Comment:
Bought this when it was $148 apiece. Even then, it was a good deal, and at the current price of $128 it's even better.Marvell-based SSDs may be slightly slower but they're known for reliability. My Windows 7 Pro 64bit finishes booting before the orbs touch, and if not for the password on my system it would load desktop almost instantaneously. All in all, boot takes about 10 seconds. Amazing coming from a 5400rpm laptop drive.

Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:no brackets

Pros:reliability$1 per gb price
Comment:
Reliability is the name of the game and this ssd drive has very low RMA's compared to other drives. This ssd drive and intel ssd's are very reliable. I have both brands but the Crucial is the better value as it costs less...at about $1 per gb. Uses Marvell controller which I like because of its reliability. This unit replaces a vertex ssd which had two rma's. Very happy with the product. I highly recommend this drive.

Not much else to say that hasn't been said already. Plugged it in, it already had the latest FW on it, worked the first time, installed win& in about 10min and off you go.

This is my first SSD. I've only had it a few days, but it doesn't take long at all to notice the difference. Windows boots up in about 15 seconds and programs on the drive open up almost instantly. Games installed on the drive load much faster.

Pros:Good Price, Fast, Queit
Comment:
Very good drive, getting transfer rate of 120MB/s from my WD Black to this dirve, and an internal transfer on the drive of 300MB/s (all tested with 2gb movie file).lso reduced my restart speed from 76 seconds to 30 seconds. Start up is blazing fast and takes about 10 seconds.

One of the go-to drives for anyone wants to own an SSD. Too bad the price has been dropping so fast this year, making the drive less competitive against the new Vertex drives and Intel drives.

Comment:
My first SSD. Compared to HDD, shockingly fast.Boot time so quicker. Applications pops up instantly.Best upgrade you can get for your computer if you still use HDD.Could have gotten cheaper OCZ but chose this because it has marvell controller which is said to be more reliable than sandforce.

Comment:
This is a solid drive. I can't say that I see a drastic overall boost over a WD Black drive, but there are certain situations where this drive (meaning SSD) really stands out. If you are in the market for a SSD, this drive won't disappoint.Be aware of the 2.5" drive size. You will need a special adapter to mount this (and other SSDs) drive in a 3.5" drive bay. Or, if you are like me, and your 3.5" drive bays are all used, you can mount this in a 5.25" bay by just mounting the drive on one side, which is fine because the drive is tiny and there are no moving parts.

Prices are falling – Thought my price matched price of $118.00 2 days ago was awesome when the regular price was $151.00, then went on sale to $124.00 and sold out. Today I see the regular price is strangely now down to $127.00 with a $7.14 off at the moment bringing the price down to $119.99. This is my first SSD and I’m sold. Just loving it after having solved a problem with some un-necessary software from my Motherboard’s installation disc after doing a fresh Windows 7 64 Bit install. The system would hang at the welcome logo. Once I figured out what was causing this it was off to the races.Get this SSD if it’s your first SSD for the speed and reliability. Makes a great boot drive!
