Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:pricey compared to HDD

Pros:heck yeah fast
Comment:
Oh yeah. First SSD ever. Paid a bit more for this rather than some other brands that I saw reviews implying reliability issues. This has been working perfectly. I haven't actually done any benchmarks to test advertised speeds, but boot times and game loading is quick quick quick. I guess you get that with any SSD. But this one is reliable. Since they're on sale now I just ordered another.

Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:None

Pros:Great SSD drive, no problems at all with my Z68 platform. Did not have to tweak anything or update  any firmware, simple plug and play.
Comment:
Probably the best SATA3 SSD out there right now in terms of reliability. Performance isn't bad either but honestly, are you really going to notice the performance difference between a Corsair Force 3 GT vs a Crucial M4 in a real world scenario? Don't think so. Crucial M4 all the way!

This is my first ssd. I have my OS on it and the boot up time is faster. I would have preferred a bit larger but this was in my price range.

Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:Wish it was cheaper for a larger drive ;)

Pros:Very fast, easy to install, crucial is quick to supply firmware updates to resolve issues
Comment:
Bought this for my alienware m17xr3 after a large amount of forum posters suggested this manufacturer and drive. I haven't been disappointed. This laptop boots up fast and any software installed on the SSD is very slick to run. It gets a WEI score of 7.9 (the highest possible). This is one of the most noticable upgrades you can do to your system.

Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:none

Pros:Perfect size for boot drive and other programs that you run on a daily basis. Fast and easy.
Comment:
Bought this in August 2011 with my gaming build to use as a boot drive and to put programs on it that would benefit from load times. I had to update  the firmware myself which was a pain but now that the firmware comes with it. 128gb is large enough to use for a boot and a couple other programs, but it does fill pretty quickly (especially with how large games are these days).Would recommend to use this as just a boot drive and for programs like Photoshop. If you want to use an SSD for games that would benefit from load times (WoW, Diablo 3, etc) then you may want to consider a larger drive. Otherwise fantastic drive, love it.

Cons:Limited capacity

Pros:Fast, easy setup
Comment:
This is one awesome SSD. Decent capacity, although I would prefer it to be bigger. Used it as the boot drive in my new HTPC. Boots up crazy fast. The Windows 7 logo doesn't have time to finish it's boot animation it's that fast.

Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:nuttin yet... still more expensive than the old platters

Pros:Sale price, fast, easy to setup
Comment:
I have very limited experience with ssd's. I had put one in a Z68 mb as a caching drive and once it was setup, no worries. This was even easier. I would have preferred a bit larger capacity but this seems to have the best price point. Easy to setup on my old p45 mb as os drive with windows7 64bit... all of a sudden it seems like I have a new computer. Snappy.

Works flawlessly. One of the fastest SSDs around, and it now comes with the latest (0009) firmware so you don't need to upgrade it yourself. You can find all the benchmarks online, but suffice it to say this boots into windows in just a few seconds.

Cons:None

Pros:Works without a problem in my friends' Macbook Pro 13 2011 (SATA 3 capable)FAST!GB/$ is getting better, but not great yetLightweightFirmware 0009 pre-loaded
Comment:
About 6 months ago I upgraded my friends' stock 5400RPM Macbook Pro drive to a WD Scorpio black for $64, it was a large jump in performance, especially bootups. He called me up the other day wanting to jump to SSD so I grabbed him the M4 128GB and...WOW! This thing smokes the WD Scorpio black, it's not even funny. I run SSD's in all my machines and I was still shocked at how fast it was. Bootups are 1/5 of the time and everything just loads instantly.

Cons:You pay for the performance.

Pros:Fast and silent, uses little power. 128GB as opposed to many 120GB SF drives.
Comment:
If you are upgrading your computer, this should be the first item on your list. Boot to desktop in under 30 seconds and programs load very quickly. Haven't had any BSODs so far, but will backup to hard drive for safety. Would definitely recommend it to first time buyers.

Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:-Got a few BSODs, but it seems to be fixed now

Pros:-Very fast, even faster since firmware revision 0009-Decent price on special
Comment:
I was wondering at first if i should buy this product or not since my WD Blacks in RAID-0 and shortstroked were performing very well, but decided to jump in on the SSD bandwagon and get one. I don't regret my decision one bit. Window loads in about the same time as with my RAID-0 array, but once i type my password every backround program that launches does so A LOT quicker (and god knows i have A LOT of backround programs that launch when Windows open lol). Everything is so much more responsive. The only problem i had with the drive is 2 BSODs, but i thought it would maybe be because of my CPU/RAM that is overclocked so i boosted the VCore and RAM voltages up one or two notches and didn't have a BSOD since (so wasn't the SSD's fault).Don't hesitate to buy this drive, it is amazing!

I wanted a fast, 120GB, non-sandforce SSD that would be fine running on my old sata2 board until i upgrade. I actually have 2 of these now and both have been problem free and have good performance even at sata2 speeds.

Pros:- it's an SDD! in SATA 6gb/s!- doesn't use SF controller!
Comment:
What can I say. This thing blows me away. To be fair, I think any SSD out there will have the same effect on me (unless it suddenly dies like some of the SF controller). Otherwise, it works perfectly for me! Highly recommended!

Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:- no 2.5" adapter- Packaging is flimsy/garbage for such an expensive product

Pros:- Fast- Reliable- Post-purchase service (firmware updates)- price per GB
Comment:
SSDs are going to be expensive, but with that aside the price per GB for this particular drive is pretty reasonable. The Crucial M4 is arguably the most reliable drive out in the market right now, especially with the new firmware updates. Also quite fast, though not the fastest.Didn't come packaged with a 2.5" adapter, packaging is reallllllly bad, feels like it doesn't really protect the drive at all.Overall: if you're even thinking of getting one, DO IT! SSD>HDD, it's like night and day.

Comment:

Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:-Doesn't come with 3.5inch mount

Pros:-Reliable-Fast-Good Value
Comment:
I did a ton of research before buying an SSD. This drive is unmatched when it comes to the combination of reliability, performance, and value. Reliability: Intel and Crucial are the two brands with the lowest failure rate when it comes to SSDs. Sandforce drives are having problems and the speed increase they offer are way too marginal to be noticed in everyday applications. Performance: Windows 7 boots in 7 to 8 seconds after BIOS. WEI gives this drive a 7.9. I have not even updated the firmware yet, but I heard you will get even more speed after the upgrade. Value: PMed and got it for $175. Worth every penny, you are looking to pay much more for an Intel drive.Save yourself the hassle and get the 120GB instead of the 60GB. I installed windows 7 and only a few programs and it's already over 60GB. 120GB is much faster as well.

Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:None

Pros:Sequential reads equal to Sandforce 2281 drives when firmware 009 is loaded. 4k reads beat Sandforce 2281 drives.
Comment:
I bought this M4 to replace a 120gb Vertex 3 max iops as my boot drive because Sandforce 2281 drives are not reliable. I benchmarked both drives with as-ssd and atto. The M4 has a higher score in as-ssd because it's 4k reads are a lot better. The lower write scores mean virtually nothing as writes compromise a small minority of use for most people. If you want a Sata 6gb/s ssd, this one has the best price/performance ratio and it's reliable.
