Cons:For the price, and given the hardware, would it really have been too much to add basic router functionality to it? I know it's supposed to be just a bridge, but. . . well, the hardware and everything is already there, since it can work as an access point.
Pros:Does what it says. Lets you basically add 4 wired ports anywhere in your wireless range. Supports WDS. Comment:
Easy enough to set and forget. Haven't really had to touch it since setup. Supposedly a work in progress for the custom DD-WRT firmware. Looking forward to trying it with that when it's made available. |
I would recommend using this instead of a wireless adapter for a desktop. First, you save the hassle of installing an internal card plus you can have a switch near your PC. Using this instead of a PCI wireless adapter also means you would have less driver issue.
