D-Link DGL-4500 Xtreme N Gaming Router

As a very loyal customer, Ive had them all i loved the DIR655 tried the DIR825 nothing but problems to be honest and for my parents bought them WBR2310 great for normal day to day surfing. Now this DGL4500 is awesome, looks great performs absolutely flawless even better when updated latest firmware and using the Share Port Utility, comes in handy. Love the screen tells me everything, WPA encryption is perfect, signal is rock solid, with my DWA552 Extreme N adapter very fast. Also, connecting to XBOX360, or my Blackberry 8320 no problems whatsoever. Yeah a lil pricey, but u get what u pay for!!

I love this router. Ever since I upgraded to this router, my network connections around the house have been reliable. The ability to prioritize network traffic is a lifesaver when you use voice over IP for your telephone. I also like the gaming modes. The best thing to say about this device: is that it just WORKS!

I bought this because of dreams of streaming(& transcoding on the fly) HD movies to my TV through my wired PS3 but it is not any faster then 100base network speeds ~9MB/s. I have read that it is the program I was using but have not found one that does any better. I did find a program for strictly transferring files through the web browser, HFS (http://www.rejetto.com/hfs/) but you have to convert the files first so they can play on the PS3. I was getting xfer speeds up to ~17MB/s. But it wasn't worth it cause I had to spend too much time to convert all those .mkv files. Unfortunately my netbook isn't gigabit so I can't test what kinda files transfer speeds it's capable of

This router worked as advertised, but I had to update the firmware initially to stop an annoying problem with the wireless connection constantly resetting on some specific wireless modems/devices. Note: Most devices worked fine, but there was a conflict in one type of modem's driver that was fixed (as far as I can tell) in the newest firmware.

Easiest setup ever. Gamefuel is amazing i have almost no lag, and even the other computers that stream videos have no lag, its like this router perfectly redestributes internet usage. Worth every single penny. A++!!

We have three computers running at the same time in our house and lag was a constant issue. Ever since we purchased and started using the Xtreme Gaming Router our lag has almost disappeared. I am so glad we bought it.

The router is great. It was very easy to setup and everything works great with very little work. QOS itself is not a bad feature if you have VOIP and download a lot but if you don't i would just disable it to increase performance. Other then that watch what settings you change and always tests things out to see if there is improvements. Overall great router and getting it on sale is even better.

I just wanted a high quality router with good range. That is what this product is. I read loads of reviews including CNET. Extreme gaming was highly rated I was tired of dropped connection with a cheap model Belkin and said to hell with the cost. I want the best.

This router works great. Good strong wifi signal with more options than some people will know what to do with. Is a little spendy but went from getting lag on my PS3 to getting smooth gaming on all titles.

I bought this to replace my Netgear Rangemax router that just stopped working. Setup of the DGL-4500 router was a snap with the setup CD and windows Vista. I had it up and running in 15 minutes. It broadcasts a strong consistent signal equal to if not better than my old Rangemax router. Best of all with the OLED display to show the status it eliminates the typical flashing lights.

Very good for computer and laptop great range and fast internet speed but im a big gamer online and ive had it for a week and i get disconnected atleast once or twice a day.Horrible for gaming

Does what it advertises. Excellent range and fast speeds. No lag with games. Value is a bit pricey but if you want something that you know will preform well, the price is worth it. Also of note first time I order through (the site) as they had the lowest price. Quick and well priced shipping, impressed with their service!

The product was shipped on time. The only problem is that you can't do 5 and 2.4 mghz at the same time which is disappointing.But for all the other features are great and user friendly.

Happy that I bought this router to replace my old Belkin pre-N router. I bought the router specifically because it can handle VPN, and it has been great. I would definitely recommend this router to anyone with a small home office...don't let the 'Gamerlounge' tag sway you from considering it for your small business home network.

I had this sleak thing for months now and It's been the best router i have ever owned.This really is a gaming rouhter. This is currently the best our their. The web config has loads of things for customizable features.really nice user interface, You can do Meany things with the built in screen. amazing router. cons: 200$ price tag. I recommend

This device works very well. it has not shut down once. the only thing that they could change is the web based interface. a little confusing but is okay. all of the features are great but if you have an ipod touch have to run it in 2.4Gh not 5.0Gh but not there falt. Over all great product and would buy again (p.s. i have not been able to use the usb dock yet, shows errors, but i have servers for that use at my house to do those jobs!)

Purchased this last week and installed it on the weekend. Sunday evening the unit went into a continious loop of resetting. Contacted NCIX tech support and they informed me that even though I still had a warrenty with them I had to contact D-Link. D-Link seems to think the unit is dead and suggested a replacement. Right from the start the router made a high pitched noise.Would recommend caution for anyone purchasing one of these and expecting it to work for any duration of time. Several other sites have this listed as a Lemon.. man I wish I had read those sites before I impulsively purchased this "pretty"router.

Upgrading from a D-Link 524, my wireless network is much faster now even under 802.11G. Setup took a few minutes. I find annoying that N standard is still draft since this may results in some potential incompatibilities. The LCD looks good but does not add tangible value. The D-LINK DIR-655 model may be a better value (same thing but without the LCD).
