appears to be an alternate product
Comment:
not same as pictured, and not complete info on web site or in box. Finally figured out my computers more advanced os than what it was designed for but finally got it to work after going online and reading solutions that other purchasers had posted.....I think its going to work for me but I probably would buy something different if I had full information before purchasing |

It is what you'd expect.

Glad I got it, so-as-to retrieve from old floppys. |

can't get it to work
Comment:
Can format any disk and won't let me use any disk on it, useless right now. |

May not have been a Diablotek Drive
Comment:
The 3.5 drive I got was not identical to the item pictured by TigerDirect. Instead of a Portable Floppy drive from Diablotek I got a Protable Ploppy (not kidding) drive from Mitsumi..?..I think that's the name. It claimed a formatted floppy was not formatted right, when I let it 'repair' a floppy then no other computer could read the repaired floppy. I exchanged the drive for a Sabrent model. |

works OK
Comment:
Worked on my xp first time and I recovered alot of material that I thought I had lost, since my computer doesn't have an A drive. |

Easy
Comment:
Much easier and better then putting in an internal 3.5 floppy drive. I am now able to again use one of my old digital cameras. |

Great Floppy Solution
Comment:
Great plug n play drive. Works first time, every time. My digital camera stores pics on a floppy disk but my new computer doesn't have an A drive. This $20 floppy drive transfers the pics from my disks to my computer so I don't have to replace my favorite $800 camera. I'm delighted. |

looks like a Sabrent not a Dialotek

Received this folppy drive. works great but I am not sure i got the right one. This looks like the Sabrent and not the Dialoket shown. There no markings on this product except |

Careful
Comment:
Needed a USB-Floppy and this got positive reviews by many. Ordered it and attempted to use it on an XP system. It was recognized but did not function on the first machine so I tried another, same results. While the system recognized what it was it appears to have had some internal mechanical problems. Tried it with over 4 other machines all with various levels of fail. I'll still be trying another through exchange, though this one left me feeling bitten. |

SUPER DEAL!
Comment:
Received, unpacked, and installed. Installation consisted of plugging in the USB cord. THAT'S IT! Worked perfectly with XP, FIRST TIME! Read and copied ALL of my old 720 KB and 1.44 MB discs. Makes duplicates for my MIDI card reader that WORK! GREAT product! |

Nice
Comment:
I didn't expect it to be able to deal with my old LS-120 disks, but it worked flawlessly on my old standard floppy collection. This is what Plug-n-Play was meant to be. I didn't run a benchmark test, but do believe its slightly faster than the floppy on my desktop. |
found a box of old floppies and had so many old pictures in them. so i bought this product and now I have all my old memories in my system.
