None If you require a chip fan or yours is producing weird noises then give this a swing. And if you don't like this fan, acquire two and the old lady can use them for earrings.....

Fan is quiet, quite blue light (whatever). I guess it keeps it cool. The specs show that it fits ATI x8**. Truly, on my "x800 gto", I had to get rid of each heat sink from the board just before I could install the fan, then I couldn't quickly put them back with no modification. Now I cool the gpu and none of the other chips. Very, quite dumb. Why don't they sell the pop-in fan only. That would quickly, straightforward, and take benefit of the heatsink it came with, but apparently too easy. Newegg delivered like often, quickly.

Hefty, strong construction. Good quality item. Low profile. Somebody in the design procedure made a poor choice of LED color and placement. They're so ugly I'm pondering about soldering unique lights in. Employing this 'sink as a chipset cooler for my DFI board. Low profile, and of much superior top quality than the stock chipset 'sink. I wish my GPU covered up those hideous LEDs, even though.

Fit a GeForce3 Ti 500 as advertised in the specs. Worked out of the box. A lot quieter than an old stock fan that was receiving quite loud with age. LEDs add a splash of colour. While I got it installed in the finish, it did not go as smoothly as I thought it would. The pins themselves were completely spaced for my card, but the metal bracket that holds them extends out about another 3mm and interfered with some other heat sinks on the card. It took me a while to comprehend that I could get it in, but that the fit would be Very tight. I was literally chipping the coating off the heat sink as I pushed the bracket down, it was that close. Also, the fan connection wasn't compatible with my card. They do include an adapter so you can join it to 1 of the plugs coming right off of the power supply, however. All round I'm pleased with the solution, but I'm taking off a single egg for the two small annoyances when putting in.

Incredibly straightforward to set up into my DFI LanParty NF4 Ultra-D to replace my dead chipset fan. It runs really quiet, keeps the chip cool, and looks cool! I initially bought this for my ATI Radeon X1800XL video card, but it didn't even come to close to fitting, and therefore is incompatible. It was merely a coincidence that my motherboard chipset fan decided to die at the time I received this cooler, so I utilized it to replace the dead fan as an alternative. I don't assume this cooler fits the Radeon X**** series video cards, but it's excellent as a motherboard chipset fan replacement. Newegg shipping was extremely quickly as usual, and their service is usually top notch.

Purchased this to replace the flawed North Bridge fan on my DFI-NF4. Been chuggin' along for over two years of intense use and finally began whining a few days ago. Solid copper, efficient cooling, cosmetic appeal, and a 3-pin power connector to fit on most motherboards make this excellent for my wants. A single red and blue led in the fan also make for a nice light show provided you have a clear window on the side of your case. None that I can see at this time. I have employed this cooler on a handful of motherboards so far to upgrade northbridge heatsinks since of elevated cooling demands. My most up-to-date application for this cooler is on the Asus P5N-E SLI motherboard. Working with this cooler with Artic Silver five, I have seen great improvement in temps and so far under no circumstances been dissappointed.

Copper heatsink is a excellent upgrade to the aluminum model. Was considering about ditching this card because it was overheating. Good to have fan speed monitoring by motherboard connection. Had to remove shim from about GPU on ATI-made Radeon 9800 pro to get the heatsink to make superior get in touch with.

Red and Blue LED's appear great! This issue is quiet and fit's my DFI Lan Party NF4 SLI-DR north bridge perfectly. All copper feels strong and temps are considerably superior then ahead of. Im down in the high 30's C range and prior to I was up in the mid 40's None

low profile, straightforward installation and outperformed the stock hsf on my ATI Radeon 9700. Although I like red and blue LEDs as substantially as the subsequent person, in a fan, together, they mesh as a pink purple. A fantastic choice if you will need a hsf on a budget.

Properly i got 1 as there usually out of stock and I plan to maintain my rig for one more 2yrs. I've never had any probs w/ my DFI Ultra D chipset fan but figured I'd get a single anyway. So I installed it w/ artic silver 5 and it functions great. My chipset is now 29C idle and an added bonus is it cooled my vid card 1-2C also. none, posibly if you expect the lights to operate at all occasions like I did(read below) truly no large deal At 1st I believed it didnt perform since I powered on the chipset light came on then turned off so I thought the fan was off. Appears the lights only come on when its running high speeds(hence the twinkling cooler), which in my case will be never ever except for energy on.

I utilised this as a chipset fan/cooler on my old dfi infinity motherboard. The cause I employed this distinct 1 is that it has a low profile and leaves adequate clearance for my installed video card.
