I was very happy with purchasing this to use on a Radeon 9800 Pro that had a dying cooler on it. Happy to see a nice mirror finish on the bottom of it, installed in less about 10 seconds (after removing the stock heatsink of course).Would purchase again for sure.

You must have a fan controller onboard or external to use this with satisfaction.It is a very noisy at 12volts.Was running good on my DFI NF4 Ultra-D. Now, I'm running it on a GA965P-DS3 and a zalman fan controller.Amazing temperatures

Bought this a while ago but never installed it until today. Took out motherboard, installed it. It was relatively easy to install..didnt take long at all! My temps before with the stock chipset HSF was 49-53ish. Now its like 44-47..I'd recommend this for anyone who needs to replace their stock HSF and get quieter/better cooling. I did it mainly for the quietness and this fan isn't that much quieter on 100% speed, but i set it at around 60% and its silent/very effective.

I bought one of these to replace my dying chipset fan on a DFI NF4 Ultra-D. Installing it was a breeze, though I'd sooner melt my box into slag than use the cheap, no-name, came-with-the-fan thermal paste. Some AS5 and a few minutes later, and I had dropped 8 degrees and reduced the noise considerably. It's also got some ugly LEDs on it, for a reason I cannot quite fathom.

Got this to replace a dying A8N-E chipset fan & am very impressed. This one is quieter & dropped the northbridge temps by 5 degrees. I was hoping to make it even more quiet by using the Quietfan feature but it stays at a steady 4900rpm.You'll need to remove the motherboard to push out the retaining clips on the old northbridge fan & install this one, but everything else is easy as pie. Despite capacitors surrounding the northbridge area, this fit nice & snug.I recommend getting this for all A8N-E/A8N-SLI owners (the stock fans are notorious for failures) & install it just to be safe, plus it looks cool. 5/5

I bought this to replace the chipset fan on my DFI Ultra-D and I am VERY satisfied. The difference in noise between the stock fan and this one is night and day. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

best $13 ever spent. replaced my dead 9550 fan like a charm, lack of foam shim is dissapointing but for compatibilities sack i guess not possible. still, allowed me an extra 30mhz core, and somehow let me have another 30mhz on the mem too, im guessing its just cooler so the chip/mem controller is more stable. recommended for anyone with a low range card and wants to overclock, or replace dead fans.

I used this cooler to cool my chipset on my DFI NF4 Ultra-D and it works very well. The stock cooler was quite noisy and cooled alright, but I needed something better. The install on this board was easy it just took some time. I had to remove my whole motherboard from my case which took about 10 minutes. Other then a lengthy install it's a great cooler. It works very well, my temperature dropped from about 35*C to 28*C.Very good cooler! 5 stars.

...well, this li'l beauty worked great in my A8N-E; took a bit of prying to get in the holes, but it worked...more silent than the chipset fan and cooled a couple of degrees better, thanks to the all-copper base...pity the mobo dies on me and now this fan just sits back in its box, awaiting use...:(

I picked one of these up to replace the dying fan on my Sapphire Radeon 9600 XT. Given the amount of space I had in my system, this 10mm high fan fit perfectly without getting in the way of anything in my SFF system.I was very surprised at how well it performed. It exceeded my expectations. I lowered the fan to around 3000RPM and during the night it’s hardly audible. And for someone who's intolerant to noise, it was far from annoying.The temperature of the GPU dropped around 10degC -/+ 2deg overall compared to the stock fan as well.

BOUGHT IT TO REPLACE CHIPSET FAN ON DFI ULTRA-D. EASY TO INSTALL EXCEPT FOR THE FACT YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE MOBO TO REMOVE THE STOCK FAN. COOLS ABOUT 5 DEGREES OVER STOCK FAN.

Built a new rig using a asus a8n sli se board and the fan on the chipset sounds like a chainsaw, after a week I was looking for a replacement, read that the evercool would work on dfi boards but could not find any info for the asus board. Bought this hoping and I only had to grind the retaining bracket off a bit to clear a capacitor. Holes don't align up perfectly but it will go in. My chipset fan now runs at just over 5 grand and temps are lower than the stock (chainsaw) fan. Very happy

Just got this and installed on my DFI NF4 Ultra-D chipset with ASCMy old Temps were:Idle: 42C Load: 52Cnow they are..Idle: 37C Load: 43CWorks great and nice LED's, and the thermal compound hasnt even really kicked in yet!!Highly Recommended to replace owners of DFI AMD Board's Chipset Fans.

I got this cause the fan on my dfi ultra-d was very noisy. by far the noisiest fan in my case. I had to remove the mobo for the install but it was quick and easy. Theres even a video on dfistreet showing how it's done. This fan dropped my chipset temps by 10 degrees. very happy and i cant even hear it.

Used this to replace the northbridge fan of my DFI Ultra-D. It was kinda hard to put in because the pins didn't line up flush but after it is in it works perfectly. Cools it better by about 5C. Was expecting more though. It has two led colours (blue+red) but really would like a blue only version. At full speed, it is kinda loud.

used it on my dfi ultra d mobo.cools much beter than that stock peice of crap from dfi...i like this cooler but its a lil whiny. it has its own pitch thats very distinctive. i kinda dislike that aspect.

For years I have had problems with the heat sink and fan on my old Geforce 2 GTS from Hercules. I asked Hercules to send a replacement, but the replacement was worse then the original. I tried just removing the cards original fan, and then sticking a more powerful fan on top of it, but still the card would over heat when stressed.Finally I gave in and bought this vga cooler, and now I know I should have coughed up the money a while ago! This thing was easy to install, is super quiet and the card hasn't even gotten warm! 5 Stars!!!

I tested it on my power supply, and it works pretty nicely, not very loud either. Only problem is the fact that I have to get thermal tape to stick it on my X1600pro. And thats a problem, because its $4 (which is fine) but the Langley Store has only 1 left. Im not paying $12 extra just for shipping. Hopefully when I go tommorow they will still have it. This was actually recommended to me by Robert from DFI / DFI Street as a superior replacement to the sketchy OEM mag-lev NB cooler. It's funny that a mag-lev lets go like that, but what can you do.It's 5-7C cooler at idle and 5-6C cooler under full load on the system (Opteron 170 n 2.5GHz). I'd buy another again in a heartbeat. Great fan from Evercool, works on most Nvidia and ATI cards, also comes with a MOLEX converter and thermal paste. good fan for that price
